Hi all, better chance to chat tomorrow, but had a great holiday ( Mad Hot ) but not complaining :) In the couple of weeks leading up to us shooting off, first my printer packed up, and i needed that to print our boarding passes etc, so had to go get a new one.

Next the kettle decided not to boil us water any longer  so had to get a replacement ! Then i was just waiting for number three to happen, and sure enough, the day before we set off the washing machine died on us.

Got to laugh, though i feel like crying  So a new one ordered, should be delivered later today. I will get it all plumbed in ( Hopefully ) Then leave the wife to catch up with all the dirty clothes, and i can spend a bit of time on here again.

Glad you had good hols Terry, but sorry about your bad luck. I'm always surprised to see how, when something breaks, it usually likes to have company. While you were away got lots of Liqua Apple through from FT. Tastes lovely - but the use-by dates have been removed on the bottles. Naughty FT! :)

We have a combi. boiler that runs the heating and gives constant hot water, and also a gas fire too (hardly ever used).

We don't have a combi, was put in by the council and we have an old fashioned immersion heater in my room, handy for when the boiler breaks down, as we can still maintain HW by switching the electric heater on, at the same time as upgrading the radiators, they removed our gas fire as we used to have a back boiler, but it had to be removed as it contained asbestos, the fireplace was sealed up and an electric fire put on the outside.

I also use a combi microwave like Pictor - but the gas oven is mainly used to store frying and saute pans these days.

That's a good idea, mine has a glass top over the hobs, so could put the halogen oven on that, put the induction hobs where the halogen is at the moment and free up some space in the cupboard by storing the pans in the gas oven (just got to check if the pans pass the magnet test :) )

Nothing much to report on the vaping front except FT have received the dodgy Zero back and will replace it with the new one i requested. Problem is, it is showing as restocking with a 7 day wait, so wait i will. Knackered now, so see you all as soon as i am straight with stuff.

Not a good start to the hols then Terry, but glad all in hand, and you had a good time, not a lot to catch up on, it's been a bit quiet in here.

Got to wait until the end of September for mine, then off to Torremolinos with about 200 other ex-rail friends from all over Europe

Yes, the magnet test is very important. It's surprising which pans are induction friendly and which aren't. I had to get a new egg poaching set-up, so treated myself to several ProCook pans as the hobs were so cheap :) Solid copper bottoms won't work, nor will aluminium-bottomed frying pans, but anything steel should be good to go. I think I tested mine using a spare collar magnet for my cat's door. :)

Interesting about a tc gs-air coil. I wonder how much they will cost?

I find we don't even need a special hob cleaner either ..I use a damp cloth and Method Clementine kitchen cleaner, then polish it dry with a piece of kitchen roll! :)

Much the same here Trish,Mr Muscle glass cleaner and a piece of kitchen roll.

Postie got up early - VapeMail : a couple of GS Airs from Eleaf UK - waiting for their GS Tank to come out as Eleaf are also going to do a TC GS Air coil head which will fit both.

Interested, how airy the airs are Bob,i.e what is the draw like in comparison to something else we have.
When you get the chance:)

I've got some fridge magnets and some neodymium e-cig ones I can use, hoping the TC coils won't be too dear, just ordered 2 packs (5) Atlantis ones from Cloudstix, so I can use my Atlantis tanks on my growing collection of TC mods

You may have to wait, I only have a squonker and my Tesla TC Dual battery mod that needs a topper at the moment and they would look silly on the latter as they are only 16.5mm diameter, another reason I'm waiting for the GS Tank, which is a 22mm atty

Thanks pipe. Usually things go down the tubes in threes, and that is exactly what happened. Strange but true ! I would have a word with FT about that mate, just to see whats going on.

Cheers Bob, i noticed over the past few weeks people are posting a bit less. We must just all be happy with what we got :headbang: we went to benalmadena a few years ago, and had a trip to Torre. You must visit the crocodile park there and see big daddy  i won`t tell you the story, but well worth a visit.

Glad you enjoyed your holiday ....sorry about the 'stuff' - I've found in recent years that 'stuff' comes in multiples ever more frequently, or alternatively, one thing after another until it either wears you down or depletes the bank account.
I say, "down with 'stuff'!" :D

Halogen ovens are wonderful. I also use a combi microwave like Pictor - but the gas oven is mainly used to store frying and saute pans these days.
So funny! We got the Stoves oven when the kitchen was completely replaced 4 years ago - it was the first time ever that we'd got to choose our own kitchen from scratch, so I was determined that we'd get whatever we liked best within reason. The oven was a bit of an extravagance, but we both liked the look of it and it went perfectly with other things ...seemed very versatile too. Then it started tripping the electricity out every day at 3.50pm. No-one was able to find out why, despite a new pcb being fitted - and seeing the thing came with a paperback novel for an instruction book, we developed an intense aversion to it!
One day, sat with a cup of coffee, my husband gazed at it and remarked 'We must have the most expensive pan cupboard in the area!'

That oven has been sitting in our garage for months now (eldest son thinks it may be fixable somehow) since we bought a very nice and straightforward Bosch oven.

they removed our gas fire as we used to have a back boiler, but it had to be removed as it contained asbestos, the fireplace was sealed up and an electric fire put on the outside.
We have a gas fire, but unless it's safe to light manually, it has electronic ignition ..useless in a power cut.
At times, I think the fireplace/fire a waste of useful space. A number of times I've suggested removing it and bricking up the actual fireplace/chimney, but always get things like 'but it's a focal feature' ...duh! It's in the middle of one end of the sitting room.

That's a good idea, mine has a glass top over the hobs, so could put the halogen oven on that, put the induction hobs where the halogen is at the moment and free up some space in the cupboard by storing the pans in the gas oven (just got to check if the pans pass the magnet test :) )
We got a shock when we first got our induction hob - the pans cost a lot! They seem a better price now though, and more readily available.

Much the same here Trish,Mr Muscle glass cleaner and a piece of kitchen roll.
I got some proper hob cleaner ...was a pain to use and get streak free! I cleaned it off with the Method degreaser one and never used the other stuff again!
I haven't got any glass cleaner ...for windows, I get 1/2 bucket of warm water with 1-2 drops of washing up liquid in it and a cloth - they I spray white vinegar on the windows and clean them with the well wrung out cloth ...quick polish with a dry cloth or kitchen roll and they stay clean longer.

I had a gas fire with electronic ignition, but that ran off of a 9v battery which was hidden away under the fire at the back left. Are you sure that yours doesn't do that? Otherwise it might be an idea to have a pound shop gas ring butane lighter handy - less likely to mark the fire than matches.

The whole week is pre-booked trips, we do get Monday free to do what we want, plus me & my mates from Antwerp are going a day earlier, but that is a Sunday so there won't be much to do, and we'll be too knackered after spending the night in Brussels airport, flight leaves early hours of the morning.

I was in Torremolinos a couple of years ago and and went to Benalmadena, visited the Birds of Prey display using this to get there
