My father was a northerner, a ww2 veteran machine gunner, born before 1920 to a poor family and a single room house. He raised himself to dining with the queen, he started the Biggin hill air fair with maitland winning innovation awards for housing and had me when he 57.

It's worse in the USA IMO. Having been exposed to both heavily.

Btw if anyone ever needs anything from the USA that won't ship feel free to ask. I can always sort it for you all. I'm verified so you don't have to worry you'll get it! Just figured I'd put that out there in case it could help

Vape mail.

joyetech Evic VT60 and some 28awg Nickel ni200.

Anyone got some starters advice on temp vaping?
I'm thinking wattage high and start temp about 400. I ought the kit version so it has the tank with it and a coil fitted.
Can I build the nickel on my subtanks and Lemos? Coil diameter and wraps, touching or not?

Any starters info welcome. Cheers all.

You can put nickel in anything. So,e tanks work better than others. Subtank nickel builds are super easy.

Titanium is easier to work with than nickel typically.

Joytech temp products require higher temp settings than the yihi or DNA products. So if you see people spouting settings for those assume you're going to be 60+ degrees higher.

For the ego tank. Buy some clr coils and rebuild them yourself wi nickel. They are probably the easiest rebuild ever and the flavor is way better than the cost coils. You can order them in either .5 or 1 ohm resistance. They come loaded with kanthal but it's honestly simple. I rebuilt five last night in fifteen minutes.

6 wraps of 26 gauge nickel will get you above .1 of titanium its three times nickel roughly.

Space nickel - probably space any temp coil but titanium does ok in a contact coil. Just don't overlap it

Five wraps of 26 in the clr coils will completely change the way you view that tank. It's extremely mediocre with cl coils and above average with clr. Don't get caught up considering the resistance on the clr. Buy whatever is in stock or cheaper. You're rebuilding anyway.

Youde nickel is good IMO.
I hope those help

Oh by the way do you know if you got the updated version? If not go out of temp mode and set power to the lowest possible. Occasionally the evic can fall out of temp mode randomly. If that's not turned down you'll get w mouth full of ash. It was fixed in the latest version.

Check your subtank to make sure it works well with a temp build. On the original evic I ended up returning mine twice and giving up due to it not registering 4/6 of my tanks properly.

To reset coil unscrew atomizer. Press fire. Screw in atomizer which is room temp. Press fire. Then lock the resistance in the menu to avoid issues later.

Sorry for the length and disorganization.

Wow, thanks. Looks more complicated that I thought, better read the info that came with evic to start.
Don't know which model I got or how to tell the difference but it it just arrived today.
Will try and watch a few reviews of it to pick up some ideas.
Cheers.

Press the fire button either ten or twenty times to get firmware version.

Watch pbusardo long review on it for exhaustive information. He covers the drop out of temp mode.m
It's very long and you can skip the temp measurement charts at the end. You maybe need 20/30 mins of this to be completely up to speed

Hi Dave, I think @h00ligan has covered most of it, the only thing that I differ on is the spacing, if you only need a few wraps then yes, space them is better, but if you need more as in dual coil, the one I did yesterday was 19 wraps around a 3mm mandrel and I find it is better not to have them spaced:

The minimum resistance in the evic is .05 iirc. You can do 6 wraps 2.5 m spaced with 28 and still hit that I believe.

I did go contact coil but I found the flavor worse and it was a bit unreliable.

Titanium removes any need to use contact coils since the resistance is about 2.5-3x nickel

Those are some long coils! I do t think I have a tank that would fit in :)

That's in the Velocity, came out at 0.12Ω and was the first one that I have built that wasn't too low for the mod , 20 wraps is about the limit for most RDAs that have wide spaced dual posts like that.

Just tried my Titanium build on the Solara, as I have only ever had it on the Yihi and didn't realise that the DNA40 recognises it automatically unlike the Yihi where you have to change the setting, and have noticed that the DNA40 handles it slightly differently, on the Yihi I can leave the temp on 50J for both types of wire, but the DNA40 needs the Titanium set at a lower temp otherwise it is too hot, which is what some reviewers have said they have had to do on the Yihi.

My father was a Yorkshire man, pre-1920 too - son of a stonemason. Army officer, and was around mid 30's when I was born.
Simple but solid beginnings.
Such a shame that so many younger people and kids are just not 'nice'.

Very kind of you to offer - thanks!

Ordered some Muffin man.
180ml for £40 posted,good deal.
Seems a huge bottle when it comes! I have Milk Man, and while very good, it's not what I'd term 'spectacular'. Muffin Man sounds very nice though ...pity I don't get on with (or much like) cinnamon. ...now if it were nutmeg ...:)

Never been able to trust Sophie off the lead since she made a bolt for the road out of the front door - she was an absolute hooligan at Maya's age ...and for some months after too.
Her Dad had his owners tearing after him over fields, roads, and on until he reached a train about to leave a station, and was just about to jump on it when they caught him. He'd always been perfect off the lead until then ..and that was when he was 10!
You'll be fit too with three runs on the field ..or is it Maya doing the running? ...no wonder you haven't been around much lately! I can just see you and the dog fast asleep in front of the TV each evening!
Lucky to get out tomorrow by the look of things!

Bloody no chance of that trish  I usually just take a tennis ball with me and let her do all the running  Like i said, now she is ok off lead, as i am a great believer that, if you start them very young, they are too scared to leave your side. But, when she gets older and bolder is when i will find out for sure. :)

Yes, that's how we play in the garden --- and sometimes the pair of them chase each other around the flower beds in a figure 8 too ....then collapse in a tired heap!

For some reason, and despite best efforts, she's never been trustworthy off the lead - and as for recall ...she stands there, looks at the incentive (a toy or a treat) and you can literally see her reasoning with herself as to whether it's more fun to carry on what she's doing, and she usually ends up ignoring us. If you ever tried to catch one you'll know it's not easy unless there are two of you.

We once had a dog spooked in a car park by a loud motorcycle, and she ran onto the road, got hit by a car going too fast and it was a very anxious night waiting to see if she'd be well enough to operate on ..as such, we haven't pushed the issue of off lead - they can all be unpredictable when something catches their eye ...a cat for instance! :D

 Yes, they are funny things when playing Trisha  I know where you are coming from with the lead :) Luckily, we have a massive field right at the end of our street, and that is where i will release her if there are no other dogs about. I am very careful with her, and i just hope she doesn`t bolt one of these days. :)

Just booked a 4 night break to Filey, second week in September, 5 adults 1 baby, and 2 dogs. That should be fun

Wouldn't mind taking you up on that kind offer.
I was going to order a Trinity glass drip dip for $22,then noticed the Int. shipping was $29.Which seemed way over for a driptip.

Just built my 2 subtanks at 0.09 with the 28awg nickel, 7 wraps at 2.5mm and I'm impressed.
Seems to wrap and build easier than kanthal some how, just no messing at all this time.

2 questions. Can I put these tanks onto, say my istick 50, no temp control mod ok?
And is there much difference between nickel and titanium building?
