I used to heat mine, but it really is not necessary now that we have decent coilers, once you have made your Kanthal coil and put it in your atomizer, then make sure the wattage is turned down to about 10w and just pulse fire it (don't hold the fire button in) until it starts to glow - it should glow from the middle outwards, if it is glowing at the ends first use a pair if tweezers to tighten the coils together, if you have ceramic tweezers you can pulse fire at the same time, otherwise just pulse fire then squeeze them together, then pulse fire again, until it starts glowing from the middle outwards - it will take some trial and error at first and you might get some hot legs, where the legs will heat up badly and break, means you need to make another coilI still haven't tried making any coils yet as I'm watching more and more videos to make sure I understand how to make them.
I've been watching some videos and I've noticed that some people run the long wire under a flame to make sure there is no oil on it, some people just wipe it with a cloth and others don't do anything to it.
Does the wire need cleaning or is it only certain types need to be cleaned?.
Please report back how he triton nickel coils are. Any chance you can take a picture down the barrel so to speak? I'd like to see how large the bore is compared to the 1.8Vapemail: 2 x 5 pack Triton Ni-200 coils & some non-vape related but useful for coiling USB LED boards from Amazon 5 pack x 3 LED & 1 x 6 LED Dimmable

There are 2 ways to make coils:
1. contact - where the coils are all touching each other - these are the easiest to start with
2. not touching - where there is a space between each coil - you then have to mess about making sure that coils do not touch and that the spacing is fairly even - this is how a lot of hand made coils were made before coilers and cotton.
When you get onto Nickel it will be slightly different...
I like the new round Kanger Subtank coils.
Them little buggers are not easy to put in. At first I thought they didn't fit but after screwing them and pushing a little harder in the tank I managed to get it in.
They definitely take up less space in the tank![]()
