Have any of you guys used SS430 wire for temp control?
Bought some 24g from vape mesh atomiser and am really struggling with it.
Built a 10 wrap 3mm dual coil in my velocity and it settles at 0.22ohms. Using the steam engine ss430 csv OR inputting a tcr value of 0.00138 on a dna200 and it just runs really cool. Even at 600F it produces barely any vapour. Have tried it on my rx200 with the right tcr value and same effect.
If I measure my base resistance when it's very slightly warm at 0.24 or 0.25 then it works pretty well, vapes nice and warm at 500-520F which is what I experience with similar gauge and sizes of coils using Ni200 or titanium, or even SS 316 (although I've only used that a handful of times).
So either the TCR value needs altering because the SS430 from vape mesh atomiser isn't "typical" (maybe? not sure how accurate these values are) or my build is just mis behaving. I'll try using a different build tomorrow, have given up for today but just wondering if anyone can help shed some light.

Have you not got any screws with flat end`s George ? I can have a look for some if you haven`t, got a load of assorted ones, Just not sure if any of them are flat though !I had a bit of that today Terry.
Bl**dy screws in the SC glass dripper,cut the legs on 6 coilsChanged the screws out,same again.
I'll either have to file the base of them or use fence wire
Bob was saying the other day Adam, that the vape mesh company is really just a wire company, and they don`t really have anything to do with vaping. He also said it was better to buy wire from stealth vapes, as they test theirs. I will be using the latter from now on.
Yeah that could be an issue. Unfortunately stealth vape don't seem to sell SS430 yet, just SS316. I might try using a different TCR value and playing around with it.
Overall I think SS wire is promising as I'm trying to move away from using Ni200 and find it much easier to work with than Titanium.
I haven`t bothered with TC for a while now and moved back to Kanthal, No reason, just a change. I`m running a couple of tanks with Dual 0.2 ohm coils, and what a cracking vape, even at 15 watts.

The screws that came with the rda look decent,no sharp edges or burrs.But they act like a a set of wire cutters.
I have a sharpening stone, so i'll dress them a little when i get the chance.Then take a look at the holes themselves.
Must say i was a little surprised because Steam Craves stuff usually looks well made.
Btw i tried with both SS and Kanthal.
Hmm, maybe it is the post holes then George. I suppose if there is any burrs at the bottom where the wire gets trapped, it would cut the wire, dunno just guessing
Chefs have only got the Loop in 10 ml bottles I think i will just get 20 ml for now, 10 ml of the superstar to try, and 30 ml of the stout sherpa.

They have 100ml of zero ..you could add your own nicotine. Alternatively, they have 12mg too, so you could mix it down to 6.Chefs have only got the Loop in 10 ml bottles

As you say though, no sign of LCCC, and I don't recall it showing as being low in stock or limited availability. No concentrate in stock either.

What do you recommend adding to a vanilla juice to give it a bit of something Trish?
I have the last bottle of my 12mg to take down to 6.
It's Indian Giver by exceptional vapes,but it's not really nice enough for me to want 60ml of it.

Checked each day for 100ml @ 6mg.Nothing.
A little, yes - but it's not as though you'd be making it into a high nicotine strength. I've never done that, so can't say for sure.

Play around with it like that and you'll soon find how much you prefer. You could even get a good coconut and get even closer to the lemon coconut!Vanilla is a great mixer as it works with lots of things. That should mix with a variety of things ..most fruits, chocolate, custards, coconut, tobacco, etc. - vanilla types are very versatile.
If you have something that fits the bill, try mixing it 50/50 with the vanilla one in a tank and see how it is.

Vanilla is a great mixer as it works with lots of things. It's described as: "A Sweet and savoury deep fried ice cream topped with powdered sugar". That should mix with a variety of things ..most fruits, chocolate, custards, coconut, tobacco, etc. - vanilla types are very versatile.

I know the diketones issues plus the legislation ones are bound to be a headache, but there's a while to go before they have to be adhered to - it would be nice to have some projected information as to what we can expect from Chefs in the future, both near and more distant.
I've tried a lot of different brands, and while a few are nice, it's Chef's that I use most of the time every day.
It depends on personal taste really, and no harm adding it neat to a ready made as it's a strong one and only needs small amountsI had a feeling i would get that sort of response
As for the Loop ..can't really help you on that having not tried adding nicotine to a zero before. Easiest way is to mix 100ml of zero with 100ml of 12mg. I've been doing that with my 6mg ones recently to get them down to 3.
Good idea, try 0.00143 I sometimes have to use 97 instead of 92 for pre-built SS316 on (non-DNA200) TCR type mods
Had a play around with this, upping the TCR incrementally and it works as I would expect it to (Nice warm vape at 500F but not burning cotton) if I set the TCR on the rx200 to the equivalent of 0.00230 or so. Weird.
Oh well as long as it works right?
Taste on SS is slightly crisper I think, not necessarily better or worse as I didn't mind the taste of Ni200 just "crisper".
