Yes 2 in either end Bob, so 2 in the 2mm end and 2 in the 1.5 mm end. I think i will just have to keep practicing with this thing. At least i can use my 24 Awg, which i won`t be using again :)
Yep, just looked at a vid, that screw in each end must be in the one nearest the centre hole, for wires up to .40mm/26AWG and in the one nearest the edge for thicker wires

I just had a little practice with the 24 gauge, made 5 coils 3 good, 2 crap and bunched up. The vids i have seen, the v3 has hex screws and not phillips like mine is, wonder if that has anything to do with it.
Possible I suppose, I believe the kosher one has the hex screws & the clone has the philips, could be that the wire is catching instead of just being turned.

@Bobw1951 Longer term storage of batts,charge or don't charge Bob?
If you have a multimeter, test that they are at least 3.7v and then check them every 3 months, otherwise charge them until the second light stops flashing on the i2/i4 - they should be stored at about 15°C/59°F so somewhere cool, see BU-702: How to Store Batteries – Battery University for more info.

EDIT: Just checked my VTC5s that arrived and all were around 3.55v

Bob,re:the SC coils.
I've just taken an rdta apart for a clean before a juice change.
Removed the coil,and there was a juice between the coil and base(think that's supposed to be how it wicks).I think you may have been very unlucky and this may have got past the threading into your 510,although that shouldn't happen as there should be o rings in place and there is also a lip on the base where the coil screws in.
But if that's the case it would be possible for it to happen with the rebuildable deck as well.Looking at it,i can't see any other way it could have happened.The only other place i have had any leakage is from the airflow holes when i knocked the tank over on it's side.

Thanks for that, next time I take it apart I'll have a look - since moving it on to the VF Mini it hasn't leaked at all, might be that the Koopor had a poor 510 which was allowing it to leak, whereas the VF Mini is tighter stopping that happening.

Not sure if I mentioned on here about my ultrasonic cleaner which popped and then smoke started to come out of the bottom.

Anyway, I had a reply from Lidl...

They said 'After a thorough investigation, our supplier identified an internal fault, which they believe was most likely caused by the product being in operation without any water'.

:shock::shock::shock::shock:

I'm getting a full refund but still, what a piss take.

All I'm going to say is if you decide to get a replacement then look here: JPL Ultrasonic 7000 Jewellery, Spectacle, CD: Amazon.co.uk: Electronics
