I think RM tracking is so bad(if it exists at all)solely so you can't see how really bad their service is.

Glad you got your order,i was worried about mine until it arrived today.
RM is a mere shadow of what it used to be - makes me wonder why they treat our mail as though it were their own property!

I know you were concerned about your order, so I'm glad it arrived.
Seems there's a bottleneck somewhere between London and the delivery addresses. Wonder if there's some extra security checks at customs.

I got mail!:

I've never been so confused about a US delivery! Remember the Stash order that got sent back because there was an error in the address? ....I spent ages last Saturday trying to get someone to answer the b----- phone at the sorting office ....then half an hour getting to speak to someone at RM on the phone on Monday ...the person who told me it had been returned already and there'd been an error in the address.....well, I got a card requesting duty/fee payment of £23.14 - I almost ignored it, but curiosity being what it is, I paid it, and saw that it stated it would be delivered today.
I watched for the postman today, sure that there'd be no package from the US - but lo, there it was - and it's sat in front of me now.

So what on earth goes on with the postal system that they can't get the tracking to even give the correct message, and the customer service people can't get it right either?

There is of course the fact that despite the package getting to London in 3 days (arrived 7th), it's taken until 19th to get delivered! That's appalling service.

There's another angle to this too ...Stash (bless them) have re-sent my order, and it's in the air on it's way to London!
They said they'd send it now rather than wait for the first one to get back to them!
So I need to pay for a second order, and a second lot of duty! ...I'm not exactly complaining because they've been so very nice, and it's something I will use, but I am really cross with RM - they have no right at all to be so cavalier with other peoples property.

So, my mail today is:
2x60ml Stash Dark Star & 2x30ml Stash Dark Star Reserve ..plus a 10ml sample of Blue Sky.
You should have gone to the sorting office on Monday like I said, you would have had it 4 days earlier, the bod you spoke to on Monday was probably in their phone centre and would not have known what was going on at your local office, but glad you got it anyway :)

Mine has got a lot better since I made a fuss last year, they still managed to lose 2 parcels over the Christmas period though, one of the problems of privatisation - everything has to be done on the cheap so that the investors can get a bigger payout.

So much other stuff going on at the moment, there was no way I could have gone, and couldn't have asked one of our sons to go either: one was at work until midnight, the other ill with a gastric bug he caught from his son, so didn't even visit us until yesterday in case he passed anything on to me.
We were not only waiting for a tile order to arrive for our other son, I haven't had a good week myself, so it wasn't a good day to try and go anywhere.
The card arrived the next ay, so that's why I paid it.

I knew the chap I spoke to wasn't at the actual soring office, and that he was just saying the first thing that came to mind - hard part is proving it.
Had the sorting office answered their dratted phone on Saturday and Monday, things would have been much clearer.

Ours is usually very good - but it all depends on who is doing the scanning and adding info to the tracking.

Privatisation should never happen with public services - the customer is the last consideration.

I'm sure everybody is already aware, that you have to register to vote in the E.U referendum.
If you are not already registered you can do it here......

EU referendum: 23rd June 2016

:)
I didn't think we needed to register again:

You don’t need to register again in order to vote in the EU referendum if both of the following apply:
  • you were registered to vote in the May 2016 elections or the 2015 General Election
  • you still live at the same address
Whatever, I filled it in again ...not taking any chances with this one! ;)

I can`t see me voting ever again for any mainstream parties Trish, for the reasons you point out. All my future votes will be based on getting out of the EU completely. And if we do pull this off, and get out, i want a political party that makes sure we stay out :)

Good philosophy, and I agree 100% :thumb: - thing is, whoever it would be would need to be really competent to run the country and liaise confidently with other countries.
Not too sure we have anyone of that calibre standing out at the moment?

Definitely need to get out and stay out!
We aren't exactly enjoying the best of times in the UK currently, and haven't for some years now, so another spell of adjustment and regeneration won't be too intolerable ...so now may definitely be the best time to make this change for the UK :)

Though i have never voted Tory in my life, i think Bozzer may just be the right choice to start with  I would happily vote for him if it meant us keeping out of that corrupt bunch of so & so`s :)
