The election? .....can't say I've taken much notice of Austrian politics in the past, but they've always been a peaceful sort of country.
Are people voting this way because of immigration?
Yes the election Trish ! From what i have seen so far, it seems that the immigrants do seem to be the main issue ! :)
In all honesty, i think most of us have had enough now, and it`s time to draw some lines. I am sick and tired of seeing ad`s on TV asking us to help support these war torn country`s, when it is the governments in our world who caused them in the first instant, yet expect our money to help resolve them, and that ain`t right at all IMO.

I do agree, and I feel sad for all those people that have been herded into dreadful camps, or exploited by countries such as Turkey.
The governments concerned and responsible are the ones that need to resolve this. Do more to stop the wars, do whatever they can to re-settle the displaced people, and stop expecting peoples charity to resolve these political problems.

Governments sat back and watched Assad destroy Syria and the lives of the people for far too long, and still, they're not effective enough to end it.
Obviously, there'll be aspects that we don't fully comprehend, but it does feel as though the world is falling apart some days.

This Austrian may appear to be pleasant enough on the surface, but electing such potentially volatile people/political parties is not the answer - hope that overnight, the counting of the postal vote may sway things!

It's approx 30 days and counting down Trish.

Nice one on the painting :thumb: Drinks are on you:)
How is it everything the government does takes far too long! Too much red tape :(

Yes, was pleased about the painting - they've only had it a week or so.
Glad about the sale, in more than one way. It was a painting asked for by the gallery co-owner just before I became really ill last year, it got mostly done by October, but was only completed last month. That co-owner died (unexpectedly for me) on March 18th, and I was really sad not to have got it finished in time.

I've got a $10 gift certificate due at FT,and we all know what that means :blush:

Never thought,i'd spend that amount of money there.
I know! - I'm up to around 8.5 I think, and it'll be my second one!

Anyone else watch Horizon on BBC2 last night?
Oh dear! didn't even know it was on. It's repeated on Thursday at 11.15pm ...I'll watch it then!
Does the programme put e-cigs in a good light?

I think so Trish.
Even in the eyes of one tobacco company.
Who did comparison tests between the effects of vaping and smoking.
There was one hater having none of it,but in general vaping did well.

Good! About time. It's taken far too long for 'them' to start believing what they've been told for at least a couple of years.
I'll watch it on Thursday (unless we see it on catch-up before then) - if it had been mostly negative, I may not have done ..makes me too cross!

Yes,does my head in.Makes an important decision to change something.
Then adds, and this will come into force in 2020 o_O
That's so they can do a huge sweeping U turn if necessary and hope no-one notices :sneaky:

Me too - he's gone way down in my opinion after his recent behaviour.
I'll never vote to stay!

For me...vaping, the TPD and immigration aren't the main reasons for wanting to leave.
I'd be lying if i said they hadn't helped me to decide but there are other reasons.

I don't like the grooming of that little ferret Georgie Osborne, that's going on, for when Dave steps down either.
Think i'd rather see Bojo take over, but he worries me as well.

Hey!What's happening?I don't usually do politics and religion

How's this for timing? Went to my next thread, https://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/f...extreme-version.394109/page-337#post-17814009 , and what was posted? This :) .....
Nice! Thank you :)

My reasons are many, but I think mostly because I don't want some nameless, faceless entity making rules and laws for our (once proud) country!
Immigration, TPD and the like are just things on the periphery of it all.
I don't like seeing contracts for things going to other EU countries either ..all some sort of political bargaining doing our own workforce out of their jobs!

I don't like the grooming of that little ferret Georgie Osborne, that's going on, for when Dave steps down either.
The Man With the Child in His Eyes ...no, that's not right....the man with a botty on his nose!

Me too, but at least he makes me smile!
I'd have Obama too - he's considered, and has a great sense of humour.

Me neither really, but I think it's being forced upon us of late! The worlds gone mad!

You are quite right. I think that when he said that Daesh would be "happy" if we left the EU was the moment when I decided that he could no longer be trusted.

I couldn't vote for a Tory party with Bojo at the helm, however. Michael Gove would be good - but better still some of the newer faces in town. If Daniel Hannan wasn't an MEP I'd back him!
