I see the remain hecklers were at it again last night, that Ruth whatever her name is should have been told to shut the f*** up and wait her turn, but no she was allowed to heckle Boris (even though I'm not keen on him) every time he tried to speak. Aaarrrgggghhhh!!!! :-x
One of the reasons I didn't watch it - too often we're getting debates, even if two person, and one is louder and more persistent than the rest.
This is one reason that anytime I see June Sarpong (where she's sprung from I don't know) appear, I switch off - she's one of those infuriating people by being loud and persistent in her belief that she and no-one else is right (about anything). TV really should stop inflicting these people on the viewers. With politicians of course, they have no choice!
It only serves to make people cross.

I do so want leave to win, but will be glad when it's all over because I'm absolutely tired out of listening to all the clap-trap and rubbish ..if there is any real truth anywhere, it gets masked.

Thee and me too  - I find myself shouting at the TV, must be upping my BP which is not good, be glad when Friday morning comes and we get to know the answer.

The other Euro thing is annoying me as well, disrupting all my normal viewing.

A good reason to make elections & referendums purely unbiased - just let us vote and be done with it ...it's bad for us otherwise!

It's certainly opened our eyes to new depths of underhand and also childish behaviour that politicians are capable of.

See, Euro 'stuff' everywhere! EU Overload ...it's bad for us!

And, we'll get Wimbledon messing with programmes soon unless the BBC takes notice of non-tennis viewers! (unless of course you like it :))

Yeah!! PITA it is.
Big thrill tonight tho',Iceland are playing Austria o_O
Lovely! :grr:

Ah! another one for me to miss then :sneaky:
You could watch politics instead?. .....

I got Mail - From Vapeclub:
All smell very nice - so will start trying them :)

First is Jean Cloud La Baronne - strawberry cream cupcake: La Baronne Jean Cloud By BordO2

I do like this one - it's a different sort of strawberry cream to the usual, and there's a definite taste of something baked (cake, pastry) on the exhale. Very nice! ...and I'm only using it at 6.6W!
It would seem (to me) to have some other red 'berriness' going on ..almost raspberry/cherryade perhaps - no doubt flavours will vary according to wattage etc.
Walking back in here, I can smell a lovely strawberry syrup or jam aroma.

I think all Sport should be banned from the main channels, and a special sport channel created on Terrestrial TV, say jointly run by the Beeb, ITV etc and any profits shared and put into normal programming, luckily, I record a lot of series off Sky so at least I nearly always have something else to watch.

I've been saying that for some years now, but they'd only end up fighting for the prime time space - even without a dedicated sports channel, they all have more than one channel to use, and if they feel the peak viewing figures are best served by showing such things on the main channels, then at the very least, they could temporarily replace some of the lesser programmes on secondary channels with the regular programmes they've cancelled.

They just don't seem to understand that not everyone likes sport - only one out of four in our family watches it (younger son).

I've just been reading an article that claims the result of the referendum is not legally binding on the U.K government.
It says the PM could choose to ignore an "Out" vote, but if he feels he must act,a bill must be presented to parliament giving the government authority to open negotiations with the EU.
If parliament does not approve, then negotiations can not start, and the UK will remain in the EU.

As i've said i'm not up on politics, but is this possible/true?
Ah! just read this:
There is an incredible theory that a Brexit won't actually happen even if the public votes for it

I do hope that doesn't come to pass despite the PM assuring the House that the results would be adhered to in PMQ's on 15th.

I think we are going to get shafted if the vote is leave. If it goes to stay,Dave will simply say "You know it makes sense".

What connection does staying in the E.U and privatising the National health have?
This is another story i have read today. That this, is Camerons real reason for wanting to stay.

And Dicky Branson is ready to put a bid in.
(A person who previously wanted to leave now says he wants to stay.)

Perhaps - I don't know ...they seem to say one thing whilst thinking quite the opposite. I'll never trust them again.

However - would he dare to go against what will amount to more than half of the voting public ...there would literally be H--- to pay. Be a long time before the conservatives got back into government I'd think, even if many of the Labour people voted to stay - Cameron and his 'lot' would be guilty for instigating it.

I honestly have no idea.
The NHS has enough problems as it is - would be even worse in private hands seeking to please the shareholders!

And Dicky Branson is ready to put a bid in.

Why ...has the government done a deal under the 'counter' on that? :sneaky:

Trish, It appears "Dicky" already has his finger in that pie.
Extract from a page called "NHS for sale"

Now that doesn't surprise me. That grinning money grabber is into everything!

I do know that the Nuffield hospitals have an agreement with GP's where they'll fill spare slots with appropriate selected patients. Our youngest son was lucky enough to get treatment at the Nuffield via his doctor, and it was a lot faster than the NHS waiting lists.

Conversely, when my husband had a wrongly diagnosed (for 2 years) sore spot on his forehead, he was eventually told to ask for an appointment with a dermatologist. The wait was many weeks, treatment probably some months after.
We were alarmed by what it could be, so I got a dermatologist appointment within two days at the Nuffield, and it was immediately diagnosed as Basal Cell Carcinoma almost as he walked through the door. Wouldn't kill him, but needed removing asap. He took a biopsy that evening to make sure, and he was sent to the plastic surgeon at the same hospital. Two weeks later, a graft was taken from his arm and stitched onto the space where he removed the BCC. Yes it cost, but as no GA was used  it wasn't too much and worth the peace of mind. He has a 3x2" patch scar on his forehead, but at least it's gone.
For me, no offer of a free visit to that hospital from my GP, I had to use my insurance - thankfully got a brilliant consultant who I trust, and paid myself for a visit to anther for another condition not covered (pre-existing). Thankfully, a few sales meant I didn't much mind paying for the consultation because I wanted to find out the best treatment ..and then ask my GP for it.

Some of the agreement to utilise spare slots in private medicine and for contracted testing can be a good thing, but I certainly wouldn't want such people running the hospitals/mainstream NHS.
