It ain't right Trish,it costs what it costs - Pay it.
Funny how the country has money to waste on other things we don't really need.
Agree 100%.
I know some of the things they come up against, and to be honest, it can be frightening. Other things, very unpleasant, others heart breaking.
For obvious reasons, those trained in special services such as firearms, traffic etc., still get the same rate of pay ..just a little enhancement for certain conditions (can't remember what, but it's not much), yet they do get put at huge risk at times.

Quite often, on bank holidays, there'll only be one traffic car on duty in a county - and they can be quite large areas. Again, depends on the area and the budget.

Yes, we need them for all manner of reasons, and we need to look after them properly.
I find it odd that another branch of public service (doctors) can just down tools and go on strike - doesn't seem fair really, because we need them too.

Obviously, I'm biased ;)

TV & sportswear sponsorship, exorbitant entrance fees and merchandise mainly.
My bold: ...exactly - from hard working people :(
The former is big commerce advertising driven, the latter more money grabbing for fairly cheap goods.

A far cry from the football clubs of my youth where Dads took their kids to watch the match on a Saturday.
Like most sport, too driven by money now rather than the love of the thing.

I saw it on a programme once (The Apprentice?), and it looks rather good there!
It's not too bad, the fans don't cause any problems, just wish this years team would hurry up and get it together, should be up there later to watch the match against Folkestone Invicta

Why the bargain price, Bryn?

Probably nowadays Pipey because it only does Power mode and TC Ni200.But a good little pocket mod non the less,
for use with Kanthal and Ni.

Maybe to an ordinary buyer, people who make lots of mods can probably get them a lot cheaper

The fact is Bob ,we are ordinary buyers. And we don't make lots of mods

I've been toying with the idea of picking up an Evic V2 Mini. What do people think of it?
If it's this one, it's something Bob thought I may like when I asked about what to get when my rebate points get converted to a voucher:
$34.40 Authentic Joyetech eVic VTwo Mini 75W TC VW APV Box Mod - 1-75W / 200-600'F(100-315'C) / 1*18650 / stainless steel at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

I got some of the ready to use Chefs Vapour DIYorDIE ones, and have just tried the Rosky.
I only use it at around 6W, and find it very nice ...creamy with a hint of cereal and strawberry. It's one I could use all day due to the pleasant flavour - available in 3 or 6mg nicotine.
Possibly more flavour at higher wattage!
I think I'll be getting another bottle of this as long as it's still available. Rosky 100ml - ChefsVapour
I need to try the Rhodonite and Funfetti first.
Not sure about Bronuts - it's very nice, but I think for chocolate ones, the Chefs MCV and it's dark chocolate flavour has spoiled me for others.

Still, I'll try the new Chefs Flavours DIYorDIE concentrate 'Cuprian' - a Chocolate Mint Ice Cream. Apparently it's a mix and use, or if preferred just 4 days steep:
Cuprian - Chefs Flavours Ltd
