Probably the cost of testing has put him off, Trish?

Although miles cheaper than the US, it's still not peanuts
Agreed, it could be that ...but surely, anything already in use is covered - or already in use as of a year ago?
I'm not sure if he'd have to re-test for concentrates ...and that would depend on if he intends to continue selling the concentrate, 10ml nicotine shots and base liquid.

Yes it is a shame because I really like his high nic Strawberry Bliss and am looking for a replacement. Hodges has come close but not as cheap.
Any chance you could stock up on the Hodges for some months ahead? ...or, buy some of the JC concentrate and get some base liquid in your choice of nicotine strength (there must still be some around) ...or some of the 10ml bottles of nicotine.

As Terry suggests, making your own is a lot cheaper, and if you don't want to use high strength nicotine to dilute in base yourself (there's still a few days to order some) you could get the small 10ml bottles to add to plain base, then all you do is add the concentrate, let it steep to let everything blend and the flavour come out, and you're done.

Edit: how about this?

Not sure about that, concentrates are definitely okay, but I think everything else has to go through the registration/testing process

I will look into it although he said he only had enough nic for a few 250ml base bottles so might be sold out now.

On another matter changed a coil SOCC tonight 1.5 ohm and could taste burning even down at 3 watts, duff coil? It's in a Kanger box just binned the coil and got another out the same packet, seems better but after the burning taste my taste buds have gone off a bit LOL

The base liquid and nicotine shots? I'd have thought the base liquid would be pre-tested at the lab supplying it? Suppose it would depend on his supplier.
I thought 'grandfather' liquids were OK ...or is that just in the US?

He has separate ready to use nicotine base liquid in stock at the moment - other sizes on the site Edit - there's only the 250ml size available. All you need do is add the concentrate and wait for it to steep. You can keep the base liquid for around a year. (I'm going to freeze 1lt VG 3mg base for a year - think it'll be OK)

Afraid it comes with the territory (of pre made coils) now and then, there's a duff one. I have had a whole packet of a bad batch, but thankfully not often. It's a good thing they're so cheap from FT :)

Fraid so, and 99.9% of all their stuff does not have grandfather rights, because the date was set too far back.
Stitcher uppers! :-x I do hope the changes don't put new people off stopping smoking by using e cigs.

Have got my taste buds back LOL. Next coil is ok at 4 watts in my Evod, I better order some more SOCC coils from FT as I think I am down to my last pack.
Good.
I started stockpiling coils a year ago just in case something happened to stop their availability ...still hoping they remain available to the UK as the Evod tanks aren't exactly TPD compliant in that they can leak (not that mine have) and are bottom fill. I also have a few tanks in my spares box as they do get 'tatty' after a year in use.
The Nautilus 2 tank is very good, but the tanks & coils cost more.

Have a look at this if you have the time everyone, you want the section about the TRPR(from approx 20:00 to 38:00).
Facts about how Germany have rejected the 2ml rule and why we can't.
(Vic can certainly talk, but some interesting info)

It would be just as easy to buy Plain VG/PG/Nic and make your own base then just add concentrate. 1 litre of each PG/VG for about a tenner.

I do that - if not I get a voice floating through 'you should be working!'

Just to show how disorganised I am I have found another 2 packs of SOCC coils in my drawer. But ordered some more from FT just in case those packs have duff coils, their cheap enough at $3 a pack.
:) I keep mine in a nice strong shoe box!

...not with the EU this time
Ah! now I see what you mean! :(
I don't know how that TRPR snuck in as I hadn't heard of it to be honest.

Interesting what he says about one shot 'kits' with the 0 nicotine liquid ...how could they ban those?
I suppose we'll still be able to talk about things here without us being accused of promotion?
In fact, seeing we have world-wide membership at ECF, it's an interesting thought!

I hope FT don't decide to be awkward about sending to the UK too.
I don't have anything new that is more than 2ml, but what if someone has a 4 or 5ml tank and needs a replacement glass for it - will the likes of FT still sell it to the UK? Be interesting to see what happens!

There's still a number of grey areas with all this, and I hope they don't start adding amendments to the TRPR.

I am now confused, what is the difference between TRPR and TPD?
It's the UK version of the TPD with slightly different wording regarding the tank size allowed, and perhaps a few other differences.
Done apparently as we began the process of leaving the EU and transferring EU laws into UK law.

Think that's right
