Yes, I'd been intending asking for some ideas to make a lemon custard (One of the flavour suppliers make a patisserie custard concentrate that has a lemon flavour ....may be FA) But thought I'd try this one first - I'll make some soon and see what it's like.
Lemon Custard - Chefs Flavours Ltd

vapetasia do a Lemon custard one shot,i've been tempted to try.
But i'll get the concentrate from Chefs instead.Since i've been mixing the price of juice and short fills seems like robbery .
To think i used to pay £18 for some 30ml bottles Paris_Tuileries_Garden_Facepalm_statue.jpg

True, it cost us - but it was convenient! ;)
The one shots do make it easy though - I always do either 50 or 100ml depending on how sure I feel about it, and if it's really nice, I'll make a larger bottle.

I only really make one from scratch, and that's MCV with 5 different flavours. Once I run out of the Dutch Mint Chocolate, I'll have to find an alternative. (Vape Train at Chefs make some promising sounding chocolate ones that may be a substitute). I make around 250ml or more of the concentrate in one go so that it lasts longer.
Going to have a go to make a decent fresh cream/custard base to mix other things with ....one day!

Just a word of caution to anyone intending to make up bulk liquids, the concentrate is good for 1-2 years but the nicotine will start to oxidise as soon as you`ve decanted it. I had to dispose of one of my freezer stock, every juice I made with it tasted like bitter aloe, and even the good stuff can turn in no time. I made some pretty costly mistakes making bulk juices when I first started DIY, nowadays I have 60ml to use and 60ml brewing at the back of a drawer.

Ya....The sweeter the juice the shorter its shelf life is. Cutting the concentrate down into smaller single shot bottles(50 to 100ml finished juice) and making enough to allow a 2-3 week steep. Something else is don't add the nic if your going to make larger amounts, it takes only a few days for the nic to incorporate into the mix, so cut then add nic as you need to. The longer your planning to store juice it then becomes a clean issue, Its the concentrate mixed that can go rancid, not the VG or PG so sterile containers. Chefs may have a clean room but not every bottle gets sterilized before filling and soon as you open the bottle your introducing cooties. DON'T heat steep in any way, that just accelerates the degrading process so your larger amount turns faster.
From what I see in the chefs site 1/5 or 20% flavoring is a lot, even 15% after the nic is lots of flavoring in a mix and yes it can get syrupy, turn dark and begin to taste different in time. My wifes 3/4% cotton candy, 4% HS Desert Ship mix turns amazingly dark after 6 months...I found a old bottle in behind so 20% of a sweet flavoring turns dark mighty fast, even faster with nicotine added.
I don't know about this concentrate but I freeze some of my Hangsen tobacco concentrates and they are just fine.

Thanks Trish, I didn`t notice any off smell with the nic, just a bitter taste like the stuff my aunty used to paint on my cousins` fingers to stop him biting his nails. Luckily the nic I had to ditch was just one of the 100ml bottles from Vape Inc, I haven`t opened the lab grade stuff yet. (bad nic mixed 1:100 ratio makes a very good insecticide in the garden)

Most of the experienced mixers tend to mix up their large batches without adding the nic and decant it into bottles that will last them about a week before adding the nic 3/4 days before use/sale.

I envy your universal taste in juices, I know you have your favourites, but I have spent a small fortune on flavours trying to create that illusive one juice that is satisfying for longer than a week, and my ADV is still what it was 2 years ago, but on the bright side I still haven`t smoked in 3 years and that`s the main thing.

I hope you are keeping well and still producing those marvellous works of art.

Pity a smell isn't present when nicotine is past it's best!
I haven't actually used any of mine yet - only ready made base and some 18mg 10ml shots so far.

I do like trying different flavours, but mostly come back to a decent custard type and the MCV. There's always another in use that can be a cream/strawberry or raspberry etc. I have some blackcurrant concentrate to make too, and suspect I'll add some sort of cream to it as I never can stick with a plain fruit.
There has been the odd ones though that are different that I've liked in the past - Dragonscape, some of the Avant Garde, and Nicoticket, etc.

I'm well - thanks for asking. Not as well as I used to be, but it's taken a long time and I'm far better than I was. Still painting, but not at the pace I was ....hopefully that'll improve too! :)

I`ve had a pretty bad throat infection for the last 3 or 4 day`s and all my juices taste like pants
You don't like menthol ones do you? I have heard that they can help for taste with a throat infection. A gargle may help, or even gargling with a 1/4 glass of water with a Beechams powder in it.
A really sour lemon may taste better ....just hope it goes soon.
I had an infection on one side of my throat a week ago - even hurt to touch, and I had a temperature, but thankfully it went after around 4-5 days.

I've been using the Old Fashioned (rice pudding with nutmeg ...can't taste the small bit of cinnamon) and I swear I can detect a hint of something like lemonade in the exhale. It's very nice though, and definitely a creamy rice pudding with a sprinkling of nutmeg. Early days though, and another week of steeping may alter it somewhat - apparently the spices recede and the creaminess improves even more.

There's two more coming soon: Custard Cream (not the Nice biscuit version) and Bienenstich (Vanilla Butter Cream sponge cake with a caramelized almond finish - apparently)

No, i`d rather not vape anything at all than vape Menthol Trish  That is the sort of infection i have, down the left side, and a bit tender to touch ! No temperature, but i have been taking Paracetamol so they maybe staving that off. Also going through the Strepsils. I don`t have any Beechams, but will make a Lemon solution up before bed to see if that helps :)
I think i`m in day 4 of it now, and it has eased a little so hopefully in another day or 2 i`ll shake it off !

I used to smoke normal and menthol cigarettes, so that's what I used with e-cigs ...soon got so that I wanted neither, and stuck with custard, cake and cream types. I doubt if I'd like menthol now either. My throat infection was on the left too, and rather painful while it lasted. Hopefully yours will be gone very soon.

The two new ones Karl has made sound promising, so looking forward to trying those :)

Despite me intending to make some on numerous occasions, I haven't had any English Trifle for a couple of years!
I have what's said to be a very good blackcurrant, so I'll make it, and perhaps use some of it to add raspberry, strawberry and cream to! I'll use a bit at a time until it tastes right  (I'm no smart mixer!)

Best way to do it IMO Trisha :) At last i`m starting to get my taste buds back, so that`s a good sign :)

Been buying from FT for some years now, and not had much of a problem with anything.

I just got a Dolphin from a UK online shop - seems OK so far, but getting a larger cartridge from Ebay (shops here don't stock them).
I've got an iStick Trim due to arrive in the next week.

Nice! I've just started using the Welsh Custard I made a week ago - not bad for just a week! :)
It's Chefs 5th birthday soon - perhaps we'll get some new Chefs ones!

Heres the rub....you tell me: should I be celebrating??
Today my last FT vape mail arrived.

Bought, paid for, order completed, February 4, 2018.
(one item posted as “ships in 2days” all others posted as in stock/available, it was a weekend order so 2 days didnt forewarn me as it should have)

Its not that it took 10 weeks to arrive, if Id known something was on back order, or posted as “ships in _ _ days”....
(I was mindful to only order items posted as available).

Its that you take such a gamble when you buy, IF they can get it, How long it ill take for FT to
Get the items, repack and ship.
While theres a plethora of chinese businesses that operate this way in Hong Kong and mainland, I still recommend
Small purchases ONLY, that youre willing to never recieve nor be credited for.

I dont go to casinos either. If I did, Id be perfectly content w/ FT.
LOL!
