I bought my innokin iTaste MVP V1 off of fast-tech and I have had zero problems with it. I truly believe it's the real thing. It came in the clam shell packaging with the two iTaste 16 tanks (hate these things, by the way), the charging cable and beauty ring.

Outside of the fact that the threading on the MVP's is known to be a little wonky, I have no doubt that I got the real deal. My only gripe is the shipping, but that's to be expected with anything that has to go through Customs.

I don't plan on using the iClear 30 it comes with honestly. I've read that the coils have plastic in them or something and that when you vape them, you're also vaping plastic. It could be total bogus, but I'd rather just put my Protank 2 Mini or Kanger Aerotank on it when I get it.

Then they are both genuine--just different finishes--one is shiny, the other is stainless, probably brushed, finish.

?
I doubt that; the one that says Authentic is also labelled iTaste both box and embossed metal, and is also labelled Stainless Steel.

The other one besides not being lebelled on the box, not being described as Authentic by fasttech, described as "Silver" which would mean chrome-plated-copper/brass - is notably not stamped/embossed on the metal with the "iTaste" logo.

The one thing that concerns me most is neither device or box, I see "Innokin". And the brown box seems typical of stuff from fasttech.

I'm guessing somebody made an error and priced the clone wrong;

Like I said--email them. Only Fasttech can tell you for sure.

And since they are look alike and cost the same--why not just get the one with Innokin logo????

Oh; you just got me mixed up with the OP; I was just answering his question and commenting.

:)

it's not the svd I want, its the 134!!!!

Sorry--I've been bouncing from thread to thread...

Anyway, I always ask the vendors when I have doubts. They are usually very good at responding. If they are not--I don't order from them.

Oddly enough...I had been looking at the fasttech website for a few days trying to make up my mind to pull the trigger on the SVD, and mistakenly ordered the one with pictured that is in the plain brown box, and that apparently doesn't have the itaste name lasered into the finish. A few days later (as I was tracking the order) I realized my mistake and worried for another 2 weeks or so till the box arrived. The one I received was in an itaste box, and was the spitting image of the OTHER pictured SVD. I don't know if I got lucky and they shipped me an original instead of a clone, or if there is just some issue and they have the wrong picture for one of the products.

Either way, original or clone, I am happy with the product and the price, and I bought it for what it does not what it says. Of course, I was never one that worried too much for "designer" looks, if that makes sense. I'm much more concerned with product performance and could care less what name there is for others to be impressed with. :2c:

And another thought...if you look carefully at the two pictures on page two of this thread, they are BOTH the exact same image, but apparently one has been airbrushed to remove the itaste branding for some reason. Either way, my product ordered was the non-branded image, but my package arrived with the branded one.

I wasn't aware they had a clone for the SVD. The ones that I have bought from them have been authentic. I have been very happy with mine.

My local vape shop has an in house branded SVD. I was very surprised. No mention of Itaste on it anywhere but it is the same.

This one they have listed as : iTaste SVD Variable Voltage/Wattage Mod / APVtelescopic / VV / VW

1525701-16.jpg

This one they have listed as : Authentic Innokin iTaste SVD Telescopic Variable Volt/Watt APV

both listed with the same price.
Only the second one has iTaste on the box, and on the device.

That was the "InnokinGate" version.. Right after several name brands said all items sold on FT were not authentic (because FT didn't stick to the MSLP).
Same great item(s) in a "FU" version listing to make Innokin happy...

Seriously? You can't tell they are the same picture, one photo-shopped to remove the "offensive" Name brand?

Not offensive, but being sold outside of Innokin's terms. They have a minimum price for which they "allow" their products to be sold.

Some still get diverted to sellers like Fasttech. Someone, somewhere, bought a bunch and moved them sideways to Fasttech rather than retailing them.

Maybe once the order goes in, they end up putting the right one because of the price. Probably just a mixup in info on the website.

Are you able to figer out if the one you got is stainless steel or chrome plated brass?

Well now that you mention it, it could be one photoshopped to take out the branding; which sounds odd to me.
Only reason to wipe out the branding is if it's a counterfeit.

Innokin has a problem with the free market?
My opinion of Innokin may be declining.
