Fat Daddy 510 Bottom Feeder option :)

FD is now selling bottom feeder pins for his spring loaded 510 connectors I retro fitted 2 of my bottom feeder mods with the new fittings and there great! now all my atty's sit flush, Sweet!
Anyone considering making there own bottom feeder mod The FD 510 with bottom feeder pin is the way to go IMO

Nice...I was looking at those...Is the 510 positive post spring loaded? (self adjusting?) What devices did you upgrade?

Looks good. I just got a few. Just haven't had time to start anything. Was it hard to solder to that outer + nut ?

No not at all. But it has bin brought to my attention that there mite be excessive voltage drop dew to no direct connection to + pin
It would be nice if the + pin was longer so the connection could be right on the + pin

that would be nice. Iv been thinking of drilling out the pin just a little bit more to insert an SS tube. Then you could solder right to the side of the brass pin.



Did you put a O-ring in the 510 to help seal it? Did it leak without it?

FD has a new BF option in the works, should be something much better then this from what I've seen, just have to see the final fab, so wait, this is definitely not what you want

It comes with an o ring on the brass pin no leaks the word is FD is coming out with a SS insert tube next week

that would be nice. Iv been thinking of drilling out the pin just a little bit more to insert an SS tube. Then you could solder right to the side of the brass pin.

The voltage drop and the brass is the cons I agree it's better than what we were using but still needs improving

No because of the spring it's a tight fit and all atty's sit flush those are the pro's

I found that the 14ga needle didn't really have enough flow, I couldn't get juice thru it fast enough..

A bigger diameter needle is my favorite setup, I run it thru a hole in the deck of the atty not the center and I have the bottom of the deck modified with a "moat" to direct the juice around the whole deck.
