I feel much healthier
I don't smell of stale smoke anymore
My mouth feels fresher
My sense of smell and taste has been rejuvinated
The house doesn't stink like an old ashtray
No more ashtrays with cig butts to look at (Funny even while I chain smoked, I always hated the sight of ashtrays)
The car doesn't smell musty anymore
The dog is happier, hated smoke but doesn't mind vapour

:)

Hi, I'm new here gotta get my five posts in.
Here it goes: favorite things about not smoking.

I had a girlfriend who hated that I smoked, so she would get upset at me when I started smoking again. So...

1. No more sneaking around trying to cover up the fact that I had been smoking.
2. No more bad smell on my clothes.
3. No more lighting the wrong end of the cig in the dark.
4. No more worrying about dropping a lit cig in my car while driving.
5. No more yellowed fingertips from smoking rollies.
6. No more bumming cigs/people bumming cigs off me.
7. Much better health overall.
8. I don't have to go outside to vape at home.
9. No more stained teeth from smoking.
10. Kissing is so much more enjoyable.

Here are my favorite things about not smoking, so far. They're roughly in order:

  1. I don't smell like cigarette smoke any more.
  2. No more cigarette butts. I didn't want to just toss them on the ground, but I could never find a place to put them.
  3. Not having to buy a pack every day for $5.
  4. My sense of smell has come back.
  5. My lungs are clearer.
  6. The juice actually tastes good. Yum.
  7. Cool new toys to play with. Learning to build coils. Fun.
  8. I might actually live longer. This is low on the list, because who knows?

What are your favorite parts?

- In the morning my lungs don't hurt. This is a big difference for me
- Not feeling like failing after trying to quit but going back to it

There's so much about vaping that's better than analogs. I'm sure everything I'm about to say has been listed, but here's why I think e-cigs are the bee's knees:

1. Cost. Sure, you can easily spend well over $100 for a really kick-... rig, but once you have, you're set. The only thing left is the liquids, which are generally fairly cheap and last way longer than a pack of cigs.
2. Health. Of course, this is probably my main attraction. Compared to cigarettes, vaping is virtually harmless... not only to yourself, but everyone around you!
3. Appearance. Not only can you have some seriously bad-... APVs, but I think people tend to have a little more respect for someone who's willing to make a change like that for their health.
4. Liquids. There are SO many different flavor options. Just about anything you can think of, it exists. There is also a very noticeable difference in quality between the low-end liquids and the higher up ones. There's also a lot of potential to experiment with different liquids and having a favorite go-to one, which make for some interesting conversation in the vaping community.
5.Smell. Finally, I can get my nicotine fix just about anywhere without having to smell like a nasty cigarette. I'm sure people around me appreciate that, and I do as well. Bleh.
6. Culture. There is such a cool culture behind vaping, with all the customizable mods, atomizers, liquids, etc. You can really turn this into a hobby, which makes the transition from analogs a lot easier and more fun!

I didn't realise how bad the 'smell' was until a friend of mine who realised I had turned to vaping came to visit and asked if it was ok to smoke a ciggie. I asked him to open the door and stand in the kitchen area while he enjoyed his fix.
I could smell that foul ciggie for two days in my house as soon as I walked downstairs. It seemed to be embedded within the fabric of every element of the downstairs area.

You don't realise how bad it is until you have your sense of smell returned.
