I've got the numbers for changing the 175 ml 80 PG 20 VG to 225 ml of 65 PG 35 VG, just takes a few minutes to do it.
The Inawera Burly sounds pretty good, I'm not even sure if I have a burly at this time, the Turkish has become another favorite and I do like the idea of adding marshmallow and maybe I'll get the chance to try eggnog. I have quite a bit of the premade RY4 I ordered before switching to DIY that hasn't been opened.

Hey guys and dolls :)

I found a recipe that calls for
Organic tobacco absolute (10% solution in VG)

Now - questions is - is there a vendor that has this specific flavoring? Is this a generic name and this could mean any type of organic flavor tobacco?
If I were looking for a simple Organic tobacco absolute - what would you suggest?
I'm attempting to create a recipe I use to buy from Open Source Vapors (Josh) who closed down.
I found his recipe online and I know he bought the other flavors from Medicine Flower but I have no idea what type of organic tobacco he used.

Here is the recipe:

Caramel (MF) - 0.5%
Organic tobacco absolute (10% solution inVG) - 1.25%
Stevia (Organic Reb-A) - 2.5%
Vanilla (MF) - 1.5%

What there talking about I'm quite sure is regular tobacco absolute.

This tobacco absolute you need to mix down to a 10% solution then use that at 1.25%. Use the link above and read post 52 to learn how to prepare it.
TOBACCO ABSOLUTE: Samara Botane Aromatic Apothecary

If your looking for ready to use TA inawera makes a few such as this. This TA you would use straight from the bottle at 1.25%
Tobacco Absolute Virginia WG-INW

I think organic just refers to the way it was grown, no pesticides and so on. That pretty well excludes any tobacco grown is the US I would think. I've never tried Medicine Flower flavors, plus I'm not sure if they're safe for vaping or not. Just be aware that if those MF flavors are natural based, both the caramel and vanilla will probably have sugars and be serious coil gunkers.

The recipe looks like a typical Ry4 type mix, one of my favorites, but I'd say just find some caramel, vanilla, and tobacco that you like and a drop or two of TFA Sweetener to sweeten it up if needs be. Other than that I would think the Rustica mentioned above would be good. It also occurs to me that they might be using the word organic to mean from a real plant as opposed to artificial. Anyways, good luck and let us know how it goes.

They are natural based, and they may be coil gunkers (I only use them in NET's so my coils gunk anyhow ), but oh my, they're good.

Aha, that explains it then. Well, MsLoud did say she's trying to duplicate a recipe so I'm sure she's aware. I should have put two and two together more carefully lol. :vapor:

It's just that I can't abide a gunked up coil. If fact here of late, I've just been replacing my coil when it gets a hint of buildup, instead of dry burning and cleaning like I used to.

I agree. :thumb:

I dry burn and re-wick after each tank (STM).

The good news is, I only vape 3-5ml's per day. The other good news is I have about 30+ spare RBA's so I simply swap, refill and then re-wick at my leisure.

The bad news is, I'M GETTING TIRED OF IT! Not enough to go back to artificial flavors, but enough to slowly reduce the % I use with the hope of vaping at least 2 tanks before having to swap the RBA.

It's not even that it really takes that long to dry burn, clean (ultrasonic) and re-wick. When I was smoking, I spent more time rolling my own than what I spend cleaning coils now. It's just that I'd rather spend that time doing something else.

Hey! I just figured out something else to do with my future lotto winnings. Pay someone to do it for me.

I don't deal with dry burning either. New coil, new wick, done.

TFA DK Tobacco Base

Mixed at 2.5%. The taste is a tad sweet, with a tiny vanilla/citrus taste, and a hint og woody/ashy taste. Good as a base for other tobacco mixes. It is a dry taste, with a hint of sour. Maybe not a single flavor vape, but excellent for mixing with other tobaccos (including pipe tobaccos).

A mix of this and an apple flavor (or other simular fruits) will make a nice blend/juice.

Zinfandel
Excellent review of TFA Dk Tobacco, thanks for posting. I use it quite often at .5 and 1 percent with some of my other tobacco flavors, and at those low percents I seem to avoid the sharp or citrus note, which I don't care for, and it still seems to help some of the other flavors that I do like. A good example of this would be Inawera AM4A. I love it at 3.5% but like it even better at 3% and add 1% of the DK.

Plus, at a buck seventy five for 10ml the price is good lol. :vapor:

Inawera Tab for Camel

I mixed this up at 3%, and here is my notes on this one:

upload_2017-5-14_20-52-36.png

I rate this one 5/10, as I think there are far better representations of Camel cigarette flavors out there.

I can see this one mixed in cinnamon bakery recipes, and would work well with a sweeter apple flavor.

I noticed menthol tobacco is not talked about much in this thread but I had the menthol itch and was playing around; thought I'd share some findings. A while ago I ordered a bunch of flavors from RTS as they were having a huge sale. Think they were discontinuing some HS and INW flavors back then. Purchased a few of the menthol tobaccos at that time (along with a few others). Well, they sat around for a while until about a month ago when I decided to try them.

One of the flavors was Menthol Smooth (HS). Think it is their version of a Salem style cig. Alone, it almost has a window cleaner taste but I seen some potential. Mixed at 4% with DNB (INW) 1%, Virginia TA (INW) 1%, Menthol (FW) 1%, this became one of the most realistic menthol tobaccos I have tried. Has the ashy taste along with a hint of the smokey tobacco Virginia TA offers. Tried it with DNB at 1.5% and it had kind of an ashtray soup taste I didn't like so stayed at 1% which works for me. So far I've vaped through 2 60 mil bottles of this and am about 1/3 of the way through a third bottle. Guess I kinda like it. Problem is, trying to find this flavor as most places I order from don't have it. Can find it at some places I never ordered from but really don't need more flavor providers.

Due to that, I mixed up Menthol Tobacco (INW) at 4% and added the same DNB (INW)1%, Virginia TA (INW) 1%, and Menthol (FW) 1%. This is a nice menthol tobacco. Maybe not as realistic as the menthol smooth blend but pretty damn good nonetheless.

Also tried Iced USA Mix (HS) at 4% with the same additives above. Was too harsh on the throat so took it down to 3%, seems okay, nothing special and still don't like it compared to the menthol smooth blend. Not a reorder for me.

Have one more to try but mixed it last night so not trying for a few days. It is Peppermint Tobacco from INW. Not a menthol but what the heck, it has some type of mint to it.

I might even order a few other menthol tobaccos from RTS as they seem to have the best variety. Ever since I found my happy spot with tobaccos with the SC line and have not been experimenting at all with tobaccos at all. Never thought menthol would be the vehicle to get me into the mixing tobaccos again, but it was and I am happy about it.

Congrats on finding a menthol mix that suits you. Near as I can tell from the few reviews I've read, that seems to be a pretty tough row to hoe. I used to enjoy an occasional Salem, especially if I had a sore throat or something. I may pick up a bottle of FW Menthol to try.

Thanks, I have tried making my own with different tobaccos and adding menthol. Never found something I liked as the tobacco never came through or I'd up the amount used and would taste odd. Was looking through an old drawer and found the stuff I ordered and put away (I have way to many flavors, lol) so started experimenting. Was glad I did as I like a menthol/mint vape to change things up. Which is odd as I did not smoke menthol when I smoked.

Just to throw it out there. Never thought there was a difference in menthol but there is. FW is the kind of menthol which I expect; strong with the kick in the throat feel I wanted. Also tried CAP menthol and was highly disappointed. It is very weak and almost more mint than menthol. The only two I used so can't really comment on any others. Was tempted to try the menthol crystals but I'm lazy, they'd just sit there and I'd never use them hahah.

Menthol was never really my cup of tea for me a nice mix with peppermint added works very well. It goes good with chocolate, vanilla strawberry. A little added to ice tea is nice. Gives just the right amount of cooling and adds a nice flavor note.

It's been a year since I ordered the Kanger so I've been off tobacco for about a year. I've even gotten to the point that I'm finding the Turkish tobacco flavor is to strong for me which is something I've been looking forward to after not getting enough flavor for ages from the e liquid. I guess my options are to use less flavoring or mix it with something to dilute the flavor. In the meantime I can lower the temp. I also have the lower PG and higher VG which I'll be using to mix quite a few 50 ml bottles and see if and how that effects things.

My favorite tobacco changes constantly as do other juices I vape. Same old Same old gets swapped out daily for something else. I like Hangsen Highway and Inawera 555 gold. Hangsen Tobacco is good, but only if there's a .25 or .5 percentage of FA Black Fire or Tobacco Absolute added.

FA Western or Purilum Sweet Tobacco are good if you want a change to something with a mild sweetness.

Lately, FA Cuban Supreme has been a good change for me. It's a light and tasty vape with subdued spices and a little touch of sweet tobacco. I'm thinking that it's going into my rotating daily vape list. After doing a 10ml test batch I did a 50ml bottle that's a week into steeping right now

Menthols are nice for a brief change, but mint is better for me, too.

So what would you guys say are the top 5-10 most popular flavorings across the board? Looking to place a smallish tester order but don't know where to start really. I've been following the thread for about a year or so but so much gets talked about that its hard to keep up though I have kept track of some of the flavors that pop up over and over again.

I really enjoy tobacco flavors and don't mind hybrids or tobaccos with non-tobaccos flavors added. I've vaped a lot of synths that I enjoyed and have enjoyed pretty much all of the NETs that I have tried, mostly from NET.com but also some stuff from HHV, MOV, GEJ, the now out of business Raven's Cut, and Indigo.

Basically just looking for the top juices that pretty much everyone agrees are good. I realize its subjective but stuff that most everyone enjoys. The things you would recommend as must haves for anyone who really enjoys premade tobacco juice and enjoyed tobacco before quitting smoking. Popular non-tobacco additions are welcome as well things like Shisha Vanilla or AP.

I also notice a lot of people are adding in a bit of TA with their mixes. Should I get a small bottle of TA as well and if so which one? What about something like Tobacco DNB? Probably going to be ordering from Bull City as they have a lot of stuff and a sale going on.

So far I have: Desert Ship, HG RY4, Gold Ducat, RY4 double, Dark for Pipe, Vanilla for Pipe, Highway, AP

Thinking about maybe getting a Latakia and Perique of some kind since I have liked both of those a good bit in the past and possibly Black for Pipe.

Or should I just being going for a mix of types like a burley, virginia, turkish, oriental, etc?
