I have today sent e-mails to my senators & this agency to try to stop this illegal practice.
But everyone must understand that it is hard to fight a government agency as they are all out of control. Also you are fighting big tobacco & big pharma who have money that GOD.
They also have more, & better, lawyers that the federal government itself.
Still I hope there is some form of democracy left in this country & elected officals that really vote their
voters wishes & not big money & political correctness.

I've already made my informed decision, I don't need the FDA telling me that I can't do what I already KNOW is better than tobacco smoke.

yeah out of all the senators and such from the NY ban list, I sent to my own MD congressman *this guy* and really never expected any reply or even if I did expected just the generated fake auto email, not something actually time thought.

Yeah, nice reply. Thing I don't understand is this pretend concern about product safety....I mean it's replacing cigarettes. If there is genuine concern for public health, then these things would have the blessings of those anti-smoking kooks, and all politicians etc. Obama would be on TV talking about how 1,000% of lung cancer deaths can be eliminated by simply switching to e-cigs. This device is not getting the respect it deserves.

He said Mr. Burr is in complete support of my position and sees no reason why the FDA should be trying to ban and confiscate shipments of Electron Cigarettes. He said adults should be able to make their own decision regarding them and will do what he can to see that our tax dollars are not wasted by the FDA on this issue.

I found the "FDA Public Public Participation Forum of the FDA Advisory Committee" posted by another user in a different thread somewhere. They are taking comments. When I commented on their page, there was only 1 comment re' e-cigs. I guess that means they have lots of room for more comments.

FDA has no checks or balances. This is not to say that they cannot fought. Perhaps their own history brought to light and made known is a weapon we could consider using when we write to our elected officials.

FDA violation of the rule of law - emord & associates

Warning: This is a difficult read in 2 meanings. It is literally difficult to read because the print is so tiny... I had to push the zoom 5 times to see the letters. It is also difficult to read due to the facts contained therein.

But perhaps it is good to know facts, and start a counter-attack, asking the senate and congress to limit the power granted to the FDA. At any rate, I found it interesting. I have always considered it wise to know one's enemy.
