F.D.A. Backtracks and Returns Drug to Market

Seems like Josh Sharfstein and Janet Woodcock at FDA quickly put one banned drug back on the market (after complaint by manufacturer and some customers), but while they continue to deny and misrepresent the consistent and mounting scientific and empirical evidence that e-cigarette companies don't market their products to youth, that the very few if any e-cigarette companies market the products as smoking cessation drugs, that e-cigarettes are far less hazardous alternatives to cigarettes, and that hundreds of thousands of smokers have reduced their health risks by switching to e-cigarettes.

E-cigarette consumers and public health advocates should remind the FDA (and the news media) of FDA's reversal on its ban of midodrine sales while refusing to end its import ban on e-cigarettes.
