It wouldn't have made it to that level. If they had one provable death it would knock the Mideast off the front page. The glANTZ are sick.

:facepalm::vapor:

That's right. Even ONE death they could even tangentially associate with vaping would be front-page news. Recall the abysmal reporting of all the battery-fire incidents...

But 597 (updated) deaths unequivocally caused by Chantix, + 3291 suicidal ideation + 2314 aggression + 460 homicidal ideation + 208 heart attacks == in FDA land "safe"

And 2818 reports for "drug ineffective" == in FDA land "effective"

I guess this is the same FUBAR logic that lead to the CDC's contention that "probably NOT" == "definitely YES"

Don't you be taking any Chantix if you are drinking that much. (Don't they have a pill for that too? Why yes, yes they do...)

Was kidding about the drinks, but I sure could have used them. Your comment gave me an idea though. If the prison system gave that to their condemned, they'd die faster than their executions take now.

Zing!

Or at least they would want to.

Seven letters: CONTROL
Damn you.

So my thinking is that MONEY provides the CONTROL.

And you're saying that CONTROL can be there without MONEY?
Or that CONTROL often directs the MONEY?

So you say CONTROL is the more important focal point?

Here in the Good Old USA it seems to me that CONTROL can not come before MONEY.
Although I have no doubt that in "other forms of government" it can be a different story.

And now I wait as you prepare another lesson for me.

They can be 'symbiotic' but consider Jay Rockefeller. He isn't there for the money. Although Zeller may be :) I think his main intent is for control - since he knows what's best for us. And wants us to follow his control.

Both can be incentives of course. And you're right - normally in the 'good ole USA' even though money wasn't always the main focus of businessmen and women - I'd say it was their interests in making something better or making something new - such as Edison, the elder Rockefeller, Carnegie, et al. and in our times, Gates, Jobs, and some would include Buffett (but I wouldn't - too long a story for here).

And the 'good ole USA' has become your 'other forms of government' - mainly fascism (again without the anti-Semitism) as an economic system where gov't CONTROLS the economy but not OWNS it (as in socialism) but the results are the same - freedom and rights being traded for 'safety' and conformity - a b.......ization of 'equality'. Or as the FDA and pragmatists would put it 'pubic health'.

Money is a byproduct of reaching one's goal, not the goal itself. When it becomes the goal it messes things up. It's an out of sequence type fallacy - use your mind, produce something, exchange, get money.
