My google search shows one story with that headline, from last April, and numerous FDA corruption-complaint stories going back a lot of years. FDA's shady entanglement with other big money players isn't very new news, I'm afraid, unless there's another "letter" and a new issue.

Headline is dated : Sunday, February 24, 2013 As the article says the letter was recently verified I naturally assumed it was current.

I agree, I sent it last night with that request to CNN , The NY Times, Time Magazine, MSNBC and BBC.

Even though this letter is from 2009, this corruption is obvious in the handling of E cigarettes. Drugs like Vioxx are pushed through with deadly impact on the American (and global) public and that is just one of so many inconceivable things that these people that are supposed to be in a position of trust and respect have done! Yet, here we have a true innovation that is being proven time and again to have tremendous health and well-being benefits to many.
