I dont think they would either but I also have no doubt in my mind that they are around.
They'd be more likely to ban a website like Marijuana Law Reform - NORML i think. However the FDA wouldn't have the authority to ban a website, nor does the US employ ANY web censorship. That we know about anyways, and I've never heard of any conspiracies about it either.
More likely they are using this forum as a resource. I bet they have the posts on "side effects" noted as well as anything else negative about the industry that they can use as a part of their campaign to get 100k plus americans to go back to analogs.
I'll tell you how it works since I'm an admins on another forum. You can check all stats all ip addresses easily.
You would be suprised how many hits come from .gov or .mil
Most of the .mil though are just regular guys that were forced to go overseas and can't stand it and cruise the net, This i know because I know more than a few that are in Iraq or Afghanistan.
So you can be sure the gov is watching this site. They even look at comedy sites making fun of the gov.
It's so easy to check like logging into a server and typing grep ".gov" yourservername.log or whatever kind of system it is. Or if you own the site one of those site meters that show all stats like who visited and from where etc.

They are definitely on here. I have gotten hits on my site, which is about 1% as popular as ECF, from people at the FDA, NSA, state agencies, etc.
Honestly though, they can't be reading too many of our posts. Based on their recent actions, we are posting far too logically for them to waste their time on us.

I don't think they can ban the forum, any more than they could shut down porn sites.
However, what does bother me is that some hypochondriacs on this site have a bad habit of posting every slightly abnormal thing that occurs in their bodies and attribute it to vaping, and all the while looking for others who will buy into their sh*t!

Hypos look right past the dip and will post - "ANYONE'S STOMACH BURNING SINCE STARTING vaping?" That is just what the FDA is looking for - they will turn it into - 'PG BURNS STOMACH LINING - CAUSES STOMACH ULCERS! What a crock!

interesting is my husband is in Saudi using a gov computer network set up at work and all these sites are banned from him viewing them.. I sent him all the e cig links when I first started vaping and he wasn't allowed to view them.. Even the personal computer he has set up at his villa "" lol same net work" also not authorized areas for him to go to... It's not just e cigs there are lots of silly harmless content websites he can't get into either, just expressing the previous comment of how many government ID address's that are on here showing up...
Just hopefully any FDA employee has any sense still left in their head after being brainwashed and stumbles upon the ECF site, to understand how peoples lives have been changed drastically after getting off analogs and switching to the new life of smokefree and chemical free addictions. Switching to something that is actually harmless.
Maybe some of those people will have a heart and SOUL and either quit backing up the f*cked up gov or at least support vaping in general.
If they want to go the extra mile, they can ban banning!

They won't have a heart if the FDA takes a stand on this. It's their career - money determines all, especially if you work for the government.
I would be interested to know if the website is blocked due to US Govt restrictions, or local restrictions.
For example, Ironically enough, I just posted a thread in the Travel and Ecig section about a nasty Run in I had while vaping in Saudi Arabia a few weeks ago. Also, there are some websites that I frerquent that have been blocked in countries that I travel to regularly... I see this happen most often in Kuwait, Iraq, and Saudi Arabia. Some are just completely off the wall! When I am in Kuwait, I can not access Myspace, or skype as the sites are blocked by the Kuwaiti Government, and Ministry of Communication!!!

After 12 years on IRC and running servers. I have yet to see a chinese address show up. They have that place pretty much censored. Howerver i did see addys from United Emirates aka Saudi Arabia.
At the same time any server In the US can block trouble making countrys like korea, Pretty easy to block anyone you want through IPtables. I choose not to block them because someone can be from a .gov but they might just be some guy at his desk looking around since they don't do much work anyway and just sit around most of the time with nothing better to do. Besides I don't think everyone is the gov is on the side of the FDA it might just be some shmoe trying to make a living.
The saudi's though are pretty repressive, they don't even let women drive cars.
Censorship sucks in all forms unless it's something truly illegal. At this point I wouldn't even trust a doctor telling them I use an e-cig because if the insurance company sees that they will use any excuse to deny coverage, remember insurance companys are in the money making business not the health business.
On a side note I knew a guy that went to Kuwait after the first gulf war to work rebuilding and if they got caught having a beer then it would be prison or get kicked out.8-o
