Would you still vape if all you could buy was unflavored e-liquid?

Isn't it amazing how nobody has any problem with flavored alcohol, though? Nobody is raising hell about the coconut flavored cheap vodka. IT CAN APPEAL TO CHILDRENNNN. Or at least insecure teenage girls.

That's one of the things I said in my response to the FDA. Flavors? If that's an issue get rid of those delicious flavored alcohol drinks everybody sucks down. they sound pretty great to kids too, and mask the taste of the alochol making it more dangerous! Oh heavens. The only choices people would have for buying drinks would be straight vodka and whiskey. Sure some hardcore people would be just fine with it, but the economy would plummet from lack of overall sales. Come on... ADULTS LIKE FLAVORS TOO!!! Oh, while you're at it.... outlawing things that are taste good but kids shouldn't have? Get rid of all sodas, koolaide, McDonalds, Wendy's and any other fast food place. Hey, YOU could single handedly solve the obesity epidemic in this country! How cool of you. Get rid of everything that we shouldn't eat because when misused it causes a problem and all that will be left in the supermarket is lettuce, tomatoes and other assorted vegetables. You should not punish EVERYBODY for something that "might" happen becuase some people are irressponsible.

I honestly don't know if I would. I think I might based on the fact that I couldn't really taste any flavors until changing to an rba. On the plus side, I use 100% vg (diluted with alcohol or distilled water) so it's kind of sweet anyway. So I don't think it would be so bad.

In fact, I should try vaping unflavored and see...

Even if they banned one from getting nicotine one could turn to caffeine. Either in the little caffeine tabs or just make extracts from actual coffee or black teas. To get light flavors you could use those fruit flavored teas.

I guess I have tea on my mind. Ive been looking into making some black tea and green tea extracts. It seems simple enough. We'll see. Where there is a will there is a way......

Unflavored doesn't really mean --> No Flavor.

It has a flavor. I think a lot of people would be surprised if they went unflavored for a couple of days to discover how much of the flavor they experience is from the base.

I prefer my favorite flavors... but I don't mind unflavored and have recently even considered not just supplementing my vaping with unflavored but maybe even making unflavored my primary flavor. I'm still on the fence about that, but since I currently have ~250 ml of unflavored on hand and only 150 ml of my 'all day vape' in stock, it might happen by circumstance, if not by design.

Humans are resourceful. History teaches us that humans found ways to do things. Even now you can see all sorts of "fixes" that were born of necessity or curiosity or just plain fooling around and creating something neat. If all flavors went away, for whatever reason, some people would figure out how to replicate it or even, find ways to make it taste even better.

Don't even get me started about alcohol. :( Edit...ok, it got me started. Look at this selection of flavors and will someone please tell me how it is different from flavored e juice. Three Olives Vodka » Flavors

I'll be honest when I first started vaping in April I was turned off to the candy flavored names. I was drawn straight to nets, tobacco is what I wanted. In fact the only non NET I own is WTA infused lemonade and that's just a little treat for hot days 'cause I can't afford to vape it on a regular basis. It wouldn't bother me a bit if they outlawed children/candy flavors but it would be a big dismsal of the constitution and our right to pursue happiness. I hope the FDA doesn't fall into corrupt big tobaccos desires. People wanted to quit smoking. Big pharma tried for years with gum, patches, pills all failures. Vaping is grass roots ingenuity at its best, the simple technology is so powerful but I am afraid we are about to see vaping demonized. There will be propaganda about how it leads kids into smoking. How a toddler drank a bottle of fruity pepples and died. The hand writing on the wall. Vaping has to be cutting into big tobacco's profits and big governments taxes. Don't be fooled into thinking the government cares about our health or wants us to quit smoking. They want our money and our freedom. But do we really neeed all these candy flavors, its only going to add fuel to the fire that's about to start.

With FDA deeming looming on the horizon http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/fda-regulations/556080-fda-deeming-regulation-proposals.html there is much speculation that they could easily ban flavored nic liquids. (save the children!)

Yes, I know there are many potential DIY workarounds, but that's not where I'm going with this thread.

What if flavored liquid was banned, not available, period. Would you still vape? I enjoy vaping unflavored, so I know that I would.

See, that's what it is though: SPECULATION. I've read the deeming proposal and there is no mention of banning flavored liquid. Sure, that may come in the future, but not right now. And even if it did happen, they wouldn't ban tobacco/menthol flavors, which I happen to enjoy. I've never tried vaping unflavored, but I know people who do it.

Yes. I would.

Not that I "enjoy" unflavoured e-liquid. I'm at the very beginning of DIY, so that was my first "experiment": unflavoured, non-nicotine e-liquid ("Oh, you mean a simple mixture of PG and VG... got it...") :D

Well... it does not taste good, but it does not taste bad either... throat hit is of course lacking, a little better if you add 10% vodka instead of 10% purified water.

I would rather vape low-nic, flavoured juice anyday. But the thing is, "a simple mixture of PG and VG" still beats smoking, by far.

I guess the new European TPD didn't see that coming: people who buy mech mods and rebuildables that can last for years, who use batteries, kanthal and cotton that they will not be able to ban, and who can still enjoy "a simple mixture of PG and VG" (no nicotine, no flavourings, so leave alone!!) more than those cigarettes they are so desperate for us to buy again...! :)

So, are you spying on this? If you are, listen carefully, dirty politicians, because I'm going to explain this to you as if you were the idiots that you actually are:

I. Will. Not. Fall. In. That. Trap. Again.
I. Will. Not. Revert. To. Endangering. My. Life. Just. To. Fill. Your. Pockets.

And will fight your self-serving, idiotic laws with the only weapon I have: my vote. :p
