I think the FDA will take years to investigate. The problem they face is not the device but the juice. Since the juice is home made, they wont be able to regulate it.

That right there is the best part of the e-cig, it is just an accessory not the part they will be able to regulate.

If the juice gets regulated, then i'll make my own.

Someone needs to send our closet smoker president-elect a starter kit.

Sadly ... it wouldn't even get past the first line of defense ... the post office. Let alone, the dog sniffers through each piece of mail, plus a secret service agent probably opening it ...

he see's liquid and an electronic device ... its over with ... :D

although wfaa.com had run a story on "smoking anywhere" the day before, i dont think they are the exact reason the FDA got involved exactly or the pieces are related.

Smoking Everywhere E-Cigarette has no tobacco, no tar, no real smoke and no other chemicals like traditional cigarette that can cause lung cancer

that's the extent of their "egregious" health claims, unless they have deleted something ?

I'm going on a trip soon and must say I'm a little nervous about going through security checks at customs. I can see how it goes now.

*Customs officer searching through bag* What's this bottle of liquid?
- It's to re-fill my e-cig
Your what?
- *taking e-cig from pocket* my e-cig.
What does it do - show me.
- *pointing at device* you put liquid in here, there's a heating coil here and a battery here - then you puff on it and the atomizer vapourizes the liquid ... let me show you....
BANG BANG BANG BANG!!!

Sorry DC, you are correct...I forgot to include a link to the magazine article recently done on Smoking Everywhere: Specialty Retail Report: Smokin' Hot.

I am referring specifically to the section stating:
"And smokers who are ready to quit benefit from a smoking-cessation system that allows them to wean off nicotine while still enjoying the feel of handling, puffing on and exhaling smoke from a cigarette—without the hazards of tobacco. "

Oooo. I posted this in the Law section, where we've put all press reports. Sorry it's now double-posted. Too late for me to pull it off Law (where it really belongs). :(

Sorry TBob...I'm bad about following rules. I'm just a non-conformist. That and I really had no clue where it was supposed to go...lol. I didn't want to put it in the law section because it wasn't an actual "law" just a news report. The description for the Law section says it's for "discussing the laws that govern the sale of e-cigarettes where you live" and since there wasn't a "News and Press Release" section I assumed it would just go in the general section. Perhaps if there are rules as to where specific threads really belong it would be beneficial to update the descriptions or post a "How to choose the correct area for your thread" sticky thread. I'm guessing that maybe one of the mods could move this thread to the correct place in the law section?

It's always for the children. BS. It's a few parents who could care less about anyone else's health, obsessed with their own worlds trying to impose their ideals on everyone! Yes they are flavored in fruit and mint because that tastes good...to EVERYONE! Should they be piss and ........ flavor? I didn't start smoking because it tasted good, I started because I wanted to be cool. And I was cool, haha. It is cool and it will always be cool. Talk with your kids and stay out of my business. I finally find something I truly think will be a great improvement in my life over tobacco....

Bans and censorship and ugh, this is such a childish country! Bunch of babies! Whaaa...hahaha, im ok now
