The evil Dihydrogen Monoxide! That stuff has killed millions of people since the dark ages forward, and still takes many many innocent lives.

We should have banned Dihydrogen Monoxide DECADES ago.

You do know that Dihydrogen Monoxide (DMHO) has been found in pre-cancerous tumors, right? And that it does lead to cellular mutations, in fact, is THE key component required for cellular mutation.

It's also the key ingredient in hurricanes, typhoons, tsunamis, and cyclones. It's always found to be responsible for any of the mass flooding. And is 99.9+% responsible for global climate change.

This is a serious issue, not to be taken lightly, just see the research:

And thank YOU, sir! Interesting post, and I like the numbers. But the OP is playing things a bit too close to the vest for my tastes. How was the study conducted? How were the participants selected? Self selected, an open poll, doctors referrals, what? What statistical methods were used? ANd most importantly, is it being submitted for peer-reviewed publication. If it's not, it's just noise. Happy noise, but still just noise.

What this industry as a whole needs is good, peer-reviewed research. And it doesn't have to be a multi-million dollar, decades long research process. Grade school children have published papers in major, well-respected journals, for pete's sake!

ok I can't sit back with this stuff.

watch this 7 minute video from the founder of the weather channel and respected meteorologist...

John Coleman | KUSI - News, Weather and Sports - San Diego, CA | Latest Headlines

I watched the video, then I did some research on John Coleman. While he was one of the creators of the Weather channel, he is currently the weatherman for KUSI-TV. A network that tried and failed to secure the Fox affiliation for San Diego.

About what I expect to hear from anyone who believes that Fox has value outside of the animated programming. His anecdotal polar bear statistics were what really tipped me off. Yes the polar bear population is higher than it was in the 70s. That is because up until that point folks had been hunting them to extinction for fur and there were less than 5000 left. After they were put on the threatened list the population has rebounded. However if you look at the most recent statistics you will find them declining at an ALARMING rate. losing 20% of a regions population is really bad.
Ask The Experts - Polar Bears International

Always lookup the history of people you accept news from before believing it as true. If they have FOX or Rupert Murdochaffiliation anywhere in their recent past, take everything that comes out of their mouth with a tablespoon of salt.

my 2 cents...

Oh and I haven't much cared for legal status of anything since I discovered all that they lied to us about in school. 'Trust in the Government' should be a test for insanity IMO. Prohibition has never worked and only ends up costing the taxpayers more for ineffective attempts at stopping a behavior. People will find a way to get what they want. Add to that the fact that nicotine is addictive and they will be facing mobs of violent people if they attempt to persecute it too vociferously.

On anthropogenic climate change, I will only say this much, and will NOT get any further into the debate, or reply to any other posts on the subject, unless you move the debate to the OUTSIDE forum where it is appropriate.

I used to be a global warming denier. I thought of myself as a AGW skeptic, and based my doubts on what I THOUGHT were legitimate scientific objections.

I was WRONG. Very wrong. Every single scientist, study, and benchmark my doubts were founded upon, turned out to be false upon closer examination. Medieval warm period and little ice age as support for GW being part of the natural cycle. WRONG. CO2 emissions following rather than proceeding climate change. WRONG. Actual global temps falling? WRONG. UN Panel falsifying data in its report? WRONG, and a damn lie besides.

I am a skeptic, but I was not being a good skeptic, I was just being a denier and a doubter. Skepticism is about demanding evidence to support a claim, and basing your beliefs on the evidence, not just about doubting a claim. When I really looked at the evidence, the evidence was in favor of human caused global warming. And as a skeptic, I have to adjust my beliefs to fit the evidence.

Here are some Youtube vids that give more detail on the real science, and debunk the global warming denialists much better than I ever could (and no, I did not base my views on youtube vids, they just EXPLAIN things better and in more detail than I could):

YouTube - 1. Climate Change -- the scientific debate

YouTube - 2. Climate Change -- the objections

YouTube - 3 - Climate Change -- Anatomy of a myth

YouTube - 4 - Climate Change -- Gore vs. Durkin

YouTube - 5. Climate Change -- isn't it natural?

YouTube - 6. Climate Change -- Those hacked e-mails

YouTube - 7. Climate Change - "Those" e-mails and science censorship

There are lots more youtube vids by other credible skeptics, people who have proven their reliability and science chops to me on other topics, but Potholer's one of the best, and the easiest for me to find in my bookmarks and subscriptions.

As for the antifreeze thing, I think it's a load of bunk.

I think someone zeroed in on the word "glycol".

Lots of antifreeze is made of ethyl glycol.

Our juice is made with propylene glycol.

Not the same stuff. You probably ingest PG on a nearly daily basis.

Actually propylene glycol is used in some antifreeze.

AMSOIL Propylene Glycol Antifreeze and Engine Coolant - ANT

It's the nontoxic stuff that you see that they pitch as being safe to have around animals.

I found out that the stuff they said was in one of the brands they tested is the same ingredient found in anti freeze, which I learned that SAME ingredient is also found in snow-cones.

You guys are confusing two different issues.

The FDA found DIETHYLENE GLYCOL in one cartridge. Diethylene glycol is the deadly cousin of propylene glycol and should NOT have been found in any e-cig cartridges.

Our liquid is made from Propylene or Vegetable Glycol. They are GRAS (Generally Recognized As Safe) by the FDA, EPA and OSHA and are NOT what the FDA was concerned about.

BOTH glycols (diethylene and propylene) are used in making antifreeze, except diethylene is toxic and propylene is used to make antifreeze LESS toxic. You definitely don't want DEG in your e-liquid. It is NOT supposed found in consumable products like snow-cones, (that would be PG.)

However, that does not answer why diethylene glycol was found in the liquid, even in such a small amount, where it absolutely should NOT have been.

But, unfortunately, people keep confusing the two.
