Ok, I been at this vaping thing for about 3 or 4 months now. In that time I have accumulated 18 authentic, standard Joye atomizers and drip only to waste less juice. None have failed (as in boom!) yet. All still glow red quickly and properly, but....
Of the 12 atomizers out of 18 that I have actually used so far, literally only about 3 of them work or ever worked worth a damn. All the rest put out a pathetic little puff of smoke after a long 5 second draw, or flood constantly. I mean you run them dry to the point of tasting burnt threads and get a decent amount of vapor or add one more drop and they flood and put out nothing! how the Hell do you guys drip 2-3 drops then get 6-8 puffs? I am always in a micro-balance between dry and flood with maybe 1-2 proper hits in between and most of my attys will never get to the sweet spot. There is either nothing, not even burnt taste, or a flood, as if the juice is just running right past the glowing coil and never getting close enough to vaporize.
I am doing nothing but swapping batteries and mods, pass-throughs, and blowing them out and restarting all to try and get one working long enough to enjoy it. I generally get one going, sit down to relax and it sputters out again and the cycle resumes.
If you have any idea what I am doing wrong, please enlighten me. I have bought enough new parts to last me 3 years, but still only have enough proper attys to keep me going daily. I have 2 ego batteries, 2 standard Joye 510's, 2 Joye pass-throughs and a wall > USB plug for them, and 4 mods I made with 24g solid wire and 14500 batteries. All seem to work fine with the 2 or 3 good attys I have, but act like they have dead batteries with the other 8 or so attys.
Is getting a decent atty really that much of a crap shoot? Do I really need to buy 5 to get one that works?
