Way back in the 2016 Run-Up to Deeming, I posted that I believed after the Market was cleared, and the Only Ones left standing were BT (and maybe BV), that the FDA and the tobacco Control Zealots would do a complete 180, and actually Support e-Cigarettes as viable THR.

Maybe we are Starting to get to that point?

You read my mind. I shook my head as I read the article originally. My thought was, "Now that we've annihilated the cottage industry that was forming, and handed most of it to BT, we can tell you the truth."

The word, "Anger" doesn't nearly cover it for me. :-x

That, and all the shops forced to close and put the employees on unemployment. And, maybe, the shop owners into bankruptcy...
WAY too many VERY good people. We could all make lists large enough to crash some servers.

    ...

Barely scratches surfaces just off the top of my immediate head. I know that each of us could go on for days and still not cover all the damage that was done.

I'm feel the anger and blood pressure rising again.

    1) Vaping comes along as a technology offering a safer alternative to smoking for citizens. An industry of small to medium sized citizens flourishes.

    2) Adept tobacco companies utilize Inept government agencies to successfully kill the nascent industry.

    3) The harmed industry sues the inept government agencies, and the whole cycle is paid for by the citizens who are left to bear the cost of it all.

    Cycle repeats. Proof?

    Financial/Mortgage companies and the SEC

    Tobacco companies and the FDA/NIH

    Political groups and the FEC/FEB

The cycle of abusing us (you and me, who bear the burden of and are supposed to BE the government) never seems to fully return the resources that were taken by this increasingly successful, simple to identify, repeating pattern. It ALWAYS ends up costing the citizens more. There is no working check and balance in place to assure that there is full restitution.
