Hi There....Hope someone can help...I started vaping about two weeks ago, but had a problem after a few days so had to go back to regular cigs and had to order some atomizers and cartomizers, so my order came and this attempt at vaping has been for about three or four days and I feel so crappy, just wondering if its withdrawal from chemicals in regular ciggys....I just feel a bit miserable, a bit emotional, more edgy and tense, can't stop tapping my foot....I just feel really not myself...also like something is missing.
So I am wondering if its the chemicals that my body is missing.....I could have sworn there was something on this forum about withdrawal symtoms but I have searched all morning and can't find anything...
I normally smoke menthol regular cigarettes which are quite low in tar and nicotine, and at the moment I am vaping 11 or 12 mg, I have found if I vape anything higher than that it makes my heart race...
Any thoughts would be great, thanks
Sandy

http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...hen-quitting-tobacco-changing-ecigarette.html <- possibly the greatest list of symptoms for quitting and for using ecigs.

Yeah, it can be that you miss the chemicals. I had a hard time while I was getting used to my little 510 but I didn't want to smoke anymore so I just didn't. Nicotine itself is just like having a coffee for me so it's not like having a cig (for me).

It was about two weeks until I was feeling like I was hooked on ecigs and I couldn't put it down, then now, nearing a year later I can go a few days without having a puff if I want to.

What's your ecig setup btw? :D And what kinda juice. When you find one that's mmmhhhhh and you want to eat the vapour it's easily gonna replace real ciggies.

...what some of the others said...there are an additional 4000+- chemicals in funkarettes that are not replaced by vaping and you will havvta detox from them...upping your water or (real fruit) juice intake can help speed up(significantly) that detox process...overall, it shouldn't take more than a few days to a week to get past this

Keep in mind that nicotine is a stimulant. Tobacco contains other stuff that works in the opposite direction. I'll repeat what they've said already. Drink a lot of water. You need it to flush your system.

If you are still feeling a lot of pent up anxiety/withdrawal... This tastes awful but it works:

Wall Mart carries, in the tea section: Celestial Seasonings Sleepytime EXTRA. It contains Valarian. It is a very mild non adictive sedative. Make sure it says EXTRA on the box, the regular sleepytime won't fix this problem.

Drop 2 bags in a big mug and pour in boiling water. Put a cover on it for 5 minutes. Squeeze the tea bags with a spoon. Leave the bags in and drink. It smells great, don't let that fool you. This will help with the cravings, anxiety and jitters that you are going through right now.

Hi Sandy,

Sometimes analog smokers are more addicted to the whole tobacco alcoloids than the nic......do a search of this or WTA to find info here at ecf.....also, some vendors are attempting to produce some.....that should come up in the search, hopefully. Let me know if you have trouble and I will help you find the info..
:)

Just wanted to say thanks for the replies and advice...I have read everything posted at least three times....and I am feeling a bit better although I think its because I am surrounded by caring people on this forum....I do think there was something in the regular cigs that I was/am majorly addicted to....but I am going to hang in there and get through this.....will try lower nicotine....try the tea....I have read the links which is what I was looking for this morning, so thanks for that...also the search engine is now working for me....so that will keep me busy and happy lol.
Thanks again
Sandy

Hi Sandrajean, welcome to ECF! Congrats on committing to vaping!
I just wanted to add my 3rd and 4th day sounded about the same as yours. You're not alone in how you're feeling. Many of us went though the same thing. Your body is still craving a lot of the chemicals in the cigarettes. I felt like absolute trash on the 3rd day, even a bit depressed. However, be assured if you stick with vaping it will come to pass!
