Here goes my 2 cents...

The cartomizers can and do make a huge difference in the way the ejuice tastes and vapes. Try an I clear 16 cartomizer.

Just screw off the top to fill with juice. This should fit your battery. If not, then I would recommend this
Itaste 3 0 VV iClear 16 Complete Box Kit Vaporizer Innokin 4 Colors US Seller | eBay

It ships free from OK.

Good luck and let us know.

:)
Johnson creek is the same company that makes the juice for blu, but most of their juice is vg. To get a better throat hit, ask to see if they can mix it with some pg in it.

:)

I tried vaping in 2009 and 2011 and went back to smoking analogs both times. The gear was insufficient and the juice was too weak to help me power through the cravings. Enter 2013. Much better gear, many more juices available, and I discovered vaping on the internet.

Most recommended kit on the Forum since I quit:

http://www.myvaporstore.com/Vision_Spinner_Joye_Ego_C_Twist_Combo_p/vvs-c.htm

Recommend the Spinners and Evods to start. Great kit and I've seen this kit help hundreds of vapers quit smoking.

Second, you need some decent juice. I liked the tobacco sampler pack at MyFreedomSmokes and did find a couple of tobacco flavors that I liked, and so did the missus:

Tobacco Sampler Pack 6ml 18mg

There's ten different tobacco flavors in that pack. Our favorites were the US Light and Desert Ship. I pretty much liked them all, but those were our favorites (YMMV). They are weak at 12 mg/ml (for the new vaper who was a heavy smoker). I had to use 36 mg/ml juice the first two weeks, then dropped to 24 mg/ml. I dropped to 18 mg/ml six months later, and I've been vaping 12 mg/ml for the last couple of months. I now DIY my own juice. Cheaper and more importantly, I can customize my flavors to my own tastes.

I will tell you that some new vapers do have to spend more on the better entry level gear to beat the Smoking Monster. I did. I needed long battery life, a very good delivery device, and very strong juice the first couple of weeks. I knew this, because of the two previous failed attempts. So often, my friends here recommend the most economical approach to vaping, when what we need is some serious gear (which is more expensive) that can better get the job done. A good starting setup will cost about $100 with a couple of juices and backups, and not $20, or even $50. While that can work for many, it will not work for all. Given your struggles, I think you need to bite the bullet and gear up. How many cartons did you smoke a month? If you two or more, then a decent setup is only about two cartons, and you have less than a one month breakeven.

The savings from not smoking, can, over time, pay for practically any setup you may need or like or require. Think of it as the life-saver it is. Use your smoking savings to finance some good gear to get you through the hard part, and it'll be paid for in no time. Good luck in your Gear and VapeQuest. YOU CAN DO IT!! I smoked 3.5 PAD American Spirit Blacks (or equivalent) for 35 years, and stopped on a dime with the right gear and juice. PLEASE DO NOT GIVE UP!! Hang in there, good luck, all the best!

I think your problem is you are in need of a device that has Variable Voltage. So you can adjust to find that sweet spot vs burnt taste. I started with a ego c twist as my first Variable voltage. I found that using a chart also helped with where to set my voltage. http://www.vaporrater.com/images/Ohmschart.jpg. I really like my smoke tech zmax mini and my SID also- they read the ohm/resistance for me of the topper I put on therefore making it easier to adjust the voltage to a sweet spot. The proper voltage also helps with your drawing technique. You will find that you don't have to draw as hard to get your hit which is most liking causing your leaking issue. As Toppers I currently use The Aspire BDC (gives a nice smooth-but tighter draw) and Mini Kangers (more of a loser draw-airy draw). I also use replacement heads that are 1.8 and 2.2. I find my sweet spot around 3.3-3.8. with this range of ohm. I shop at Discount Vapors. Don't give up

Hope this helps and don't give up

Flavors are so subjective. The only flavors I really like are coffee blends, vanilla blends, and cinnamon.
I have found that not all e-juices are created equal, and price can be widely varied. Also, most of them not that good when they are first mixed and need to be steeped.
My 3 favorites right now are Steampunk (coffee, caramel, vanilla, & choc) and Austin Heat (cinnamon & peppermint) from All About Vapor; and Custard's Last Stand (vanilla custard) from Nicoticket.

3.6 mg nicotine for a start. 2 Vision Spinner batteries, charger and plug, 2 Protanks. Do yourself a favour and go with this.
Decent flavours are hard to come by. Most people swear by cinnamon. I'd suggest that, any cinnamon you can get really. Any natural extract tobacco flavour, they're always good. At the moment i'm using 3 different flavours and 1 i've been using for months is "banana nut bread". This stuff is great, I've tried other banana flavours but just weren't the same. The combination of a very high nicotine content and the right flavour will provide a very satisfying throat hit.

The spinner batteries are practical variable voltage at a reasonable price and will last for a good days vaping before they need to be charged. Most common setting for the battery would be 4.3v for a typical 2.5 ohm protank coil. Just turn the dial at the bottom of the battery to adjust voltage, simple !!. The Protanks are very popular and it's because they do a good job.:). Cheer up !

Don't forget to get some spare protank coils whan you make your order. Throttle and go, no messing about. This set up is easy to work with.

Hello all.... I'm posting this thread hopefully to get some help b4 I completely give up on this whole vaping thing. I quit smoking Nov 21st and started vaping and I'm feeling really discouraged right now and almost ready to give up. I'm hoping for some help/encouragement b4 I do that. I REALLY wanna be successful this time with giving up the nasty smokes but I gotta tell ya..... I miss that tobacco flavor and am soooooo tired of throwing money away for bottles and bottles of e-juices that just end up in the garbage bcuz they taste hideous! I really like all the sweet flavors but you can only take so much of that b4 it starts to give you a nauseated feeling. I started this adventure with the blu e-cigs and the flavors in those were awesome so that held me for a few days but the nicotene cravings weren't being satisfied so I knew I had to go with something a little stronger or I'd definitely give up. I picked up a cheap eGo-T E-cigarette at a local tobacco shop along with some e-juice and with no idea what I was doing, began to vape with that. Within several days I started reading everything I could possibly find on this topic to see what I was doing wrong. My juice was tasting burnt and I didn't know why.... it was leaking all over the place... i think i wore more than i vaped ....and I was way overwhelmed with it all!! Well I've since learned about atomizers, cartomizers, clearomizers, tanks, blah blah, blah but I still have dang leaking issues and can't figure out why and I just never seem satisfied and feel like I vape constantly! Seriously....it's like a dam pacifier :blush:....lol. ok well I'm done ranting... any help would be GREATLY appreciated. Thanks to all in advance!!:)

Let me start off by saying, vaping is in the beginning a way to quit smoking. Your probably looking for the cheapest way to stop smoking and that might not be the best idea. People here can give you alot of good ideas but ultimately only you can say what works for you.

Figure out what you spend a month on cigarettes and make that your budget for the month, you will be surprised at what you can get for 100 to 150 a month in the vaping world.

Check out more on this forum and ask and read about what people have tried and what works well. Sometimes what works well is not always the most expensive. Do some research!

Again do some research.

Vaping will become what I can equate to drinking fine wine. You taste alot of bad ones to find the ones that really "float your boat" and on that note try finding some Vape shops in your area. They usually all have a "tasting" area with all the flavors they sell and every one I have been to let's you try them for free before you buy.

All that being said, I think all tank systems are going to be a trial and error with anybody. They all leak......LET ME SAY THAT AGAIN...they all leak!!! Anybody that says different is not being honest with themselves. The way they are built is the reason why. They have a wick and a coil that is designed to take fluid from a closed section of the tank and put it in a section that can have air drawn through it from the bottom or the side or whatever and drawn into your mouth. It's how you deal with the leak or drip or sweating or whatever you want to call it.

If you maintain your equipment properly you can minimize the amount of fluid that you lose to where it will not even be noticeable.

It will be worth the effort in the long run

don't give up

I've got a Protank and a Protank II. Neither of them leak. If the coil floods then i turn up the power until i get a dry hit, but they definitely don't leak and have never leaked, ever !, EVER !. Aga T2 can't leak, in fact no genny can leak can it !. I know what you mean though. It does seem that way to some people. I leave the protanks over night and in the morning they haven't leaked, i don't even get liquid on the battery terminal, i expect it, but it never happens !....:)

Hello well here is my noob 2 cents.
Maybe me being a noob (over 8 weeks of vaping) can help you? :)
First the Juice, I smoke Marlboro 27s my Mom, Dad, and ex-wife smoked Marlboro Lights.
I found a store around the Charlotte, NC. area called Smoke Anywhere for Pennys
Buy E Cigarettes Charlotte NC | Best E Cig Juice | Buy Electronic Cigarettes Online - Smoke Anywhere For Pennys
Penny has a line of Juices called Penny's Girl and Penny's Girl Lights. Pretty good juice. My mom, dad and ex are sold on that and don't want to try anything else. And you can give Penny a call tell her what you smoked she can match it.
Me, don't get me wrong I have some and always will have a bottle of Penny's Girl , but I like to try new things.

Now I have had a lot of people tell me that USA and 555 taste just like Marlboro or taste just like a real cig but the problem I found with those is every one has their own recipe for them and they taste different from vendor to vendor.

I recently got a tobacco sample pack from Halo E-liquid | Electronic Cigarette | E Cig Liquid | Halo Cigs and wow Them some good Juices!!!
First I just sampled them and then I vaped a full tank of each one.
I ended up ordering 2 bottles of their Tribeca. That hits my Vape Buds just right.

Now I will tell you what was said to me,
what ever e-cig, Mod, Vape Pen, or what ever you pick to use, if it's hard to fill, or the hit sux, never the same hit twice, battery always dead when you need it or it just plan sux, it will probably make you not want to Vape.

So the Mod you pick is important.
I picked a ProVari ProVari Variable Voltage Ecig: Best Variable Voltage E Cig Available!
YES it is one of the more expensive ones BUT you can always sale it and get your money back out of it. Don't believe me go on eBay and find some ProVari's and follow them till they sale and see what they sale for. That's what I did and still do, just to see what people will pay for one. btw: if your looking for a used one Buy it from here on ECF Classifieds you will find a better deal then on eBay.

And if your looking for a nice cheap mod I would go with the iTaste MVP $39.99 :w00t: at 101 Vape
Innokin iTaste MVP V2.0 - 101 Vape
For that price and what that mod does, I think is the best deal for cheap mods out there. Plus it comes with a iClear 30 tank, easy to fill and you don't have to worry about rebuilding for a while. I think I read people get months out of a clearomizer before they have to rebuild them. I AM NOT SURE about that ask the Vets on here they know more about that. But my point is you don't want to think or worry about the other stuff right now.
First find your juice and mod then worry about which tank is easy to fill or rebuild or gives that magic hit. :)
Just trying to help :vapor: Keep on Vaping don't give up.

Greetings jackieNC; Sounds a lot like my experience at the start (I skipped the BLUs and went right to the cheap starter kit, which leaked like crazy).

Hang in there, like people suggest, and you will get the hang of it. My only advice is try a couple different cleaomizers; they're cheap, they'll fit the battery that came with your eGo kit, and you'll eventually find one that works for you. Took me about a month to get to the 100%-vapour/0%-tobacco point, but i'm a slow learner and I bet you pick it up in no time.

Regards
Glenn

The biggest thing I have found with vaping is that you have to find what works for you. I know this is redundant but don't give up. I personally like Halocigs.com for my juices. I received one of their Triton kits in a contest and love it. Their juice is awesome and they have great sample packs to try. You can get tobacco, menthol, or gourmet flavor samples packs. The throat kick comes from a combo of PG/VG levels in the juice. PG is Propylene Glycol, VG is Vegetable Glycerin. The more PG the better throat kick. The more VG the more vapor produced. Also the nicotine level can contribute. Some sites will explain what their definition of nicotine level equates to. Like if you get 18mg nic then it is high which could be like regular cigs. 8mg nic would be considered light or ultralight cigs.
The leaking may be because of over filling the tank, the atomizer may be loose also. Hope this helps.

Ok first off, dont give up...dont let tobacco win, cuz that stuff will drain the life out of you. its *really* bad.

Vaping, while maybe not the healthiest thing in the world, is (in my opinion) not nearly as bad as tobacco will ever be.

There are tons of juices and kits and gear out there, but this really is the place to find out information from folks who *use* this stuff.

Soo..lemme show you what I gots: Kanger Mini Protank 2 Starter Kit -VV

Kanger mini protank II setup, two batteries, two pyrex (not plastic) tanks, no drips and it makes lots and lots of vapor AND you can adjust the volts if you need to crank it up or down. easy to clean too and even make your own coils/wicks (and you can watch video about that on YouTube, once I did it made a LOT of sense).

I lurked here on ecf for a long time until I finally bit the bullet recently and made an account and got some gear. I'm new to doing this.

Here is where I got some juices from:

Welcome to Ahlusion

https://vapeland.org/

Alien Visions E-Juice

http://www.nicoticket.com/eliquid/

Everyone in this list is kinda serious about juice and making really high quality stuff. There are long threads in the forums here and these names plus a few others keep popping up.

So far Ive had 2 out of 4 orders I've made show up - two more are coming any day now - and the juices are really nice.

When I ordered my Kanger kit I picked some 24mg juice and that stuff is extra super strong. Its like an unfiltered cig.

18mg juice is like a full flavor cig, 12 is like a light and 6 is comparable (far as Ive read it on here) to an ultra light.

So, with burnt juice and leaky tanks, sure...thats not going to be fun. But with a slight adjustment of your gear and juice, its a BIG difference. And I had one cig the other day (the last in my pack of Camels) and I have not really desired one since. Nic cravings? Well sure. But I have two tanks + two batteries and about..oh lets see...6 from Vapeland (ake Alice in Vapeland, AiV), one from Avejuice...3 from the original order I made. Thats 10 flavors to pick from. I got my nicotine needs covered.

Dont. Give. Up. Help is here if/when you need it. Basically most everyone has been through just about the same things you are experiencing, in one way or another. Just today I had a pretty massive craving for a cig. But damn if I'll give in like that, not when I got the tools to avoid 'em.

Oh almost forgot: when vaping keep hydrated - vaping can really dry you out a bit faster than cigs can. Drink LOTS of water. keep in mind that folks typically get used to a flavor and dont enjoy it as much, so they swap it up, too....fruity, savory, minty, dessert/baked goodies flavors...LOTS of choices. but pick really *good* juice makers stuff. AiV has a sampler that I'm enjoying. 5 for about $12, small bottles but so what..its nice stuff. I'm pretty sure Im going to order from them again.

Don't give up!! You are going through the same learning curve we all have when we start. Let me tell you when you get it all sorted you will be so happy. You should definitely get something with variable voltage to find that sweet spot and keep away the burnt taste. I change my voltage depending on the ohms of my tank AND the juice I am using. Some taste better at a lower voltage, some a bit higher. As far as sweet vapes not being your 'thing', or just getting sick of them, I bought some unflavored juice to lighten some juices I have used before. That might help. You really can go broke faster on buying juice than devices. Try sample packs or vendors that sell smaller sizes. I buy most of my stuff from Mt.Baker. The prices are cheap, you get to pick your Pg/VG ratio, add flavor shots and they give you a sample for free when you spend $15. I ask for what I want to sample next in the comments section when I order and they send me what I ask for every time.

Hey there! I'm very new to this (first time poster!), but just wanted to come by and offer support. I'm currently using the Ego-C with an EVOD tank. I haven't had issues with leaking while vaping, but have had some minor leaks in my purse when I don't store it correctly.

While I lucked out on my first flavor purchase and found something I love (Cherry Cola), I have since purchased ~10 additional flavors that I don't care for at all. As someone else mentioned, I'm finding that taste is subjective and this is all truly a trial and error process. If you can't find a vape store nearby, try purchasing some sampler packs online from a reputable dealer. Hopefully you'll find a flavor that you love soon!

I've only been smoke free for a week and a half, but I've been reading this forum religiously since then. Some of the best advice I've seen - don't count the cigarettes you've smoke, only those that you haven't. If you need a couple real ones to get you by while you search for your perfect juice, do it. Just continue on the journey, and cut down on the real ones as much as possible in the meantime. Good luck!
