Got my Highbrow flavors Friday, I got buttered rum, coffee, ry4, orange something and apple. The buttered rum is the only one I like enough to use. For me the Ry4 was the worst. Couldn't even stand the smell.

I also got some flux? from somewhere, I don't like them either.

I'm frustrated because I don't know what I'm looking for so I don't know what else to try.

I feel like smoking because I know I can go to the store and get my smokes and they will taste exactly like I thought they would.

I don't know if I'm looking for advice or support or if I'm just venting. lol Either way, thanks for being here ECF & members :)

Take heart. Seems to be a part of the early discovery after leaving tobacco flavors. Also i find I need to keep my expectations rained in. Have you tried Vapor Renu yet. Tastes are so subjective but I have been batting a 1000 there so far. Expand your thinking. Of all things I found Maple cured bacon. OM . I just got in some Peanut butter cup and wow. But you may not go for that. I also have messed up tasted buds and have to get a double dose of flavor. Just keep trying.
Venting is OK. Glad your with us. Keep doing what your doing.

The chase for that perfect flavor is a nonstop chase. It took me a few weeks to find something I could vape regularly and I am still trying new flavors to find 4 or 5 to keep in rotation. Venting is good, so if that was what you were doing then so be it. We all get frustrated from time to time and it is nice to have the support system we have here.

I decided to try fruit flavors as I was trying to quit tobacco and I figured that trying something totally different would do the trick. It will take time but you will find those few flavors you enjoy. Whatever you do, if at all possible, stay away from cigs. If you MUST have one then by all means do so. But I would suggest fighting that urge as hard as possible. It can be a slippery slope.

Once you get the equipment part of the equation figured out, as confusing as that can be, finding the right
juice can be the most frustrating. It can also be the most fun and rewarding.
Be aware that some juices are not at their best straight out of the mailbox, and may improve with steeping like a leftover plate of spaghetti taste better than the day it was prepared. First you need to identify which juice categories best suit your taste, tobacco flavored, Naturally Extracted Tobaccos (NET's), deserts, fruit, or coffee and drinks. For me it's NET's, but now
that I have some favorites, I can explore the other categories. The best advice that I can give you is to find a few vendors that interest you and order sample packs from each. If you find a juice that you like, the odds go up that you may also like other juices in that vendors product line.
good luck

as the others have said, hang in there. it took me quite a while to find liquids I liked.

you might get some unflavored - I use 50/50 pg/vg in my choice of nic. it's not offensive and you can vape it while you continue to search. I was a menthol smoker and I still prefer a plain menthol. I have figured out I don't like "complex" flavors, just simple ones for me although I do like a little menthol added (for instance, peach menthol). I am a chocoholic but to my disappointment I don't like chocolate liquids. keep searching, you will find some you like!

Excellent observations and advice given here. Some juice mixtures take 1-2 weeks to mature, a few even longer. The flavor change can be night and day.

I guess I was lucky finding a good juice right out of the box. I was a Marlboro Menthol smoker, and my first juice was Smokeless Images Ice Menthol. For me, it was close enough to the cig flavor to due the trick. Six months in it is still one of my top 5 flavors.

Many people end up finding a flavor niche. It might be tobacco flavors, fruit flavors, desert flavors, candy flavors, etc. For me, it is coffee and a lesser extent fruit flavors. I must have several coffee flavors that I use at least once during the week.

I'm a firm believer that finding a couple of favorite juice flavors is as important as finding your first good device setup is to be successful in quitting cigarettes. I sincere desire to WANT TO QUIT is necessary, too.

You won't be breaking any laws if you do decide to smoke a real cigarette, as far as I am concerned. I allowed myself to smoke 3-4 cigs a day when I first started vaping. The first couple of days I looked forward to them, but soon they stopped satisfying me. I found that I preferred vaping actually. When that last pack became empty, I never gave any thought to buying another one.

ECF is a great place for information and support. You may suffer setbacks, but keep vaping thru it all. YOU CAN DO THIS!! :thumb:

Lots of Vendors have juice sample packs of 5 to 25 5ml bottles. This is a good way to go then even if you dont like it you can suffer threw 5mls or if its just yuch! youve only wasted a couple of dollars. The Vapor Room has a 30ml flavor of the week for 10$ I try a new one on Monday then If I like it I order another one before the week is over. They have 3 or 4 different flavors to chose from each week for the deal.

I ordered my first PV last week, vv mygo 2.0. I received it on Friday and haven't had an analog since. I was a Newport smoker and just ordered some menthol liquid with my order and have been just fine. I am jumping head first into trying to mix my own. I ordered nicotine, VG and PG liquid, and an assortment of flavors. Can't wait to get them so I can get mixing. Hang in there! This is so much better for me and I am very happy I tried.

When I first began vaping I ordered 30 samples in notably different flavors. Once I kinda knew which flavor areas suited me I bought another 20 samples. Out of the first 30 I LOVED 10 and out of the second order I LOVED 10. 10 were ok and 20 were disgusting. I focused on my faves and put the 30 disgusting/ likeable flavors away. In the end I only truly hated 1 flavor out of that entire group of 50 flavors. Prolly the toughest part of vaping is finding the right flavors- morning vape, all day vape, evening vape. And once you find those fave flavors you're gonna find your tastes change. Out of those original 49 samples I LOVED I now only vape 7 of them.

Well you've already gotten plenty of support and advice so I'll just say:

it's ok to vent on me, that's why I'm here. :D

The chase for the best e-juice can be a hair puller. After 3 months of vaping, I only have three favorite flavors. Myself, I love tobacco flavors so I finally learned about naturally extracted tobacco (NET) flavors and placed a big order with Want2Vape last week and a small order from Ahlusion. I'm hoping that will cure my palate boredom. In fact, today I've been occasionally watching my neighbors' red mailbox flag through the windows with my binos so I'll know when the mail carrier has passed. I think he's running late after Columbus day vacation.

all the best,
cho
