Just a quick question to the gang who have stopped smoking.

I feel amazing that ive gone 12 days off the analogs and although the odd weird bit of not sleeping very well for the 1st few nights ive not missed the "analogs" at all.

vaping to me has been unbelievable....I like smoking...thats why when ive tried to quit before ive failed.

I tried before with an e-lite and although it was handy once when I was ill....i never thought I could quit.

I thought that I was stuck to smoking until it probably killed me to be honest......ive got 2 kids, 2 and 4 years old........and although we talked about stopping, we never did.

We spend about £100 a month on cigs which is more than we can afford too.

Does anyone in a similar situation not think ...........why is vaping not MORE popular?

I suppose you need to want to stop...but its as good...probably better than smoking....cheaper by a mile..... why have I just found it!?

Why isnt this shouted from rooftops?

Im waffling now.....

What im trying to say is...this is THE best way to stop smoking im sure...but does anyone else feel abit guilty that they are still "smoking"? Im not really sure ive actually stopped!?

You've stopped m00sey. :)

and reading how passionate you are tells me you'll stay stopped.

I feel the same.

My life almost fell apart using E-Lites and that's my entire motivation for being active on forums. I couldn't work, my family thought I needed psychiatric help, it was horrible.

e-cigs work, but not all are capable of delivering the nicotine.

Well done you. :)

(I'll stop stalking you now....) You are released into the wild. :)

See ya.

We've stopped inhaling smoke - the proven significantly harmful part. If you smoked tea it'd increase your risk of cancer and heart disease, probably emphysema and all that too.

Nicotine is increasingly thought not particularly addictive on its own, and not particularly harmful. It isn't harmless or non-addictive, but neither is coffee, so puritans aside there's no harm in a little indulgence :)

A lot of people choose to wean themselves off that too (which undoubtedly is easier than with smoking, irrespective of other addictive alkaloids in smoke - you can mix the same flavour liquid of different strengths and come up with any nicotine content you want, or of course there's DIY).

As to why other people aren't picking it up? It's undergoing explosive growth. Some analysts predict that there will be more vapers than smokers in 10 years (although I suspect that just means in the West).

We do however have the small problem of "popular" ineffective products here in the UK, and the possible regulation of the larger tanks and nicotine liquid.
I am confident overall though. Although I don't like TW much, they have opened in town and now the "plastic stick millionaires" are in trouble. I expect to see 180mAh batteries lying in the gutters like dog-ends.

Dj dont stop stalking, your comments and others on this forum just make me realise how great and supporting people can be.

This forum is amazing.

I see even the NHS are perhaps going to introduce ecigs in 2016 - E-cigarettes to be regulated as medicines - Health News - NHS Choices

Im abit in amazement at the moment and will do my best to help quit smoking both friends and family that want too. You have to want to stop for sure.

I still feel like im cheating though...vaping is amazing for a guy that liked to smoke.

Just need to find an e-beer now.

Analogs had me by the Huevos for a little over 5 years before i quit for good beginning this year! i was Vaping on and off with the little Ego's and Spinners, but they didn't seem to do it for me much besides when i didn't have any smokes.. I felt a little stupid.. but i realized how bad it was on my health early on which I'm thankful for and quit cold turkey. Got ahold of my SVD by Innokin and the craving for Analogs just went away..

i feel like it took a little while but i think it's all about the right setup for you that helps you quit.. and i mean the device/tank and liquid. i feel so much healthier and like you said m00sey i had trouble sleeping and still kinda do every now and then. Something that will eventually work itself out, but it's the process that will lead to a healthier life ( and a better smelling one :p )

Congrats to you on your success. I agree with your thoughts! I am off cigarettes for a couple of weeks, and never, ever thought I would quit after a 40 year plus habit.

I don't understand why I didn't find out about this sooner, either. I wouldn't have known about it except for the current TV commercials which are running a lot in the US about the Blu e-cigarettes. I got a Blu starter kit, which let me know that the concept of e cigarettes would work to get me off smoking cigarettes. Quickly realized that the battery life and other factors about the Blu were a drawback.

Found this forum as a result. I got educated and bought an ego starter kit and some juice. This has been a totally painless process for me, and every day I am still amazed that I don't want to smoke an actual cigarette!

Keep up the good work!:)

I felt some guilt at the start, yes. And I think it's from years of being conditioned that smoking is bad and must be stamped out (true), and it looks like smoking, so it must be bad, right? We're not allowed to enjoy using nicotine! It's bad!

But if you dig into the research and data, nicotine isn't that bad for you. It's not the cancer causing element of smoking. Tar and smoke are. What we do is taking the enjoyable part - nicotine - and getting rid of the rest, and we put it in vapor that tastes really good. On top of all of that, we are now able to buy gear that works really well, and is fun to use.

Again, we're not allowed to have FUN! We're bad people! Using and having a dependency on nicotine makes you a bad person!

That's where the guilt comes in.

Don't buy into it. You made the right choice. You are now a non-smoker, and don't allow anyone to make you guilty or ashamed to still be using nicotine. As long as you are not burning tobacco to inhale the smoke and fumes, you are not a smoker! And, you are not a bad person for enjoying the effects of nicotine, it's relaxing and stimulating, and it won't harm you in any significant way, as long as you don't do something stupid like vape 100mg liquid, or drink it.

Good for you! I started vaping about 2 weeks ago after smoking a pack a day. I even had the best part of a carton left. I got 1 36mg bottle and then switched to 4 bottles of 24mg bottles. As to the miligrams, I noticed that I vaped less with the 36. At this point I am just monitoring my urge. Anyway, I like the flavors, am able to taste and smell, AND, I don't stink.

Personally I'm all for them regulating some types as 'medical devices' - prescribing them to smokers, particularly if they're too young to buy them, can only be a good thing.

Problem is that a lot of people see it as an 'either / or', and think that if some devices are certified others can't be sold on the open market. That makes no sense logically, if the open market ones aren't making any medical claims.

I'm using an ego with an evod and its not doing it for me either. I also think its all about the setup. Any chance you could post exactly what u are using. I'm new to this and don't know which way to go. So much out there and so confusing with all the choices

Sent from my Kindle Fire using Xparent Purple Tapatalk 2

I use:
SID with an Efast 2000mah battery
Protank 2 clearomizer
2.4ohm bottom coil

I like it. Little bigger of a battery and little bigger of a tank. There are many set-ups though.

Hope helps,
Jere
