Truth or Bull....e, wash Blue Foam before using?

following advice from "eclypse" :
"Then the important part is to now wash the foam! Hand wash each piece in mild hand soap. May want to wash it twice just to make sure. Then rinse good in cold water, then pat dry in some paper towel. Hold it up to a piece of unwashed foam and you should see the the wash piece is much lighter in color. If it is your good to go! (I recommend washing it in small pieces as you'll get a better wash then trying to wash it in one large sheet)"

after doing this i was able to load 18 drops into the blue foam verses the 10 drops when unwashed, stranger than fiction or just a fluke?

James

hi again

not very many puffs but who can or does count puffs
i figure that after one use the filler is contaminated thus limiting it's wicking ability, i ordered more new empty carts so i do not have to use my own rebuilt cartridges
it leaks around the top of the atomizer ( i think )
i am just a clumsy old man and these plastic ejuice bottles tip over easily
strange but a 510 cartridge with new blue foam only took 10 drops where as a rebuilt Super cigarette took 12 drops

guess it was a bad day to try giving up cigarettes, but i am now back to my milder "cigarette reduction" program

James

Are the not very many puffs due to your battery dying or your cart becoming empty?
What you have said about the filler is not true, I have used the same cart with the same filler for weeks, although it is true that its wicking ability does diminish, what I do is I use a needle bottle, essentially a plastic bottle with a hypodermic needle at the end to fill my carts. I push it in to the bottom of the cart and fill it from the bottom up, it works great!

If it is leaking from the atomizer connection to the cart it may be that you are over filling the cart. When filling your cart you should just fill it enough so that the filler is wet, there should be no sheen of liquid on top, this can lead to your atty becoming flooded from too much e-liquid. I suggest after you fill your cart, give it a shake to rid it of the excess liquid. Let me know if this solves the leaking problem.

I have tried the blue foam and personally really do not care for it, it is not as much to absorb the liquid but to allow the liquid to completely fill the cart by eliminating air pockets.

Let me know your thoughts please.

Yeah really! I agree with everybody. I was on and off for about a month, but I figured I spent the money, why buy analogs..... pretty soon I didn't even like the taste of analogs. Haven't smoked them at all for about 6 months. Also try some different flavor samplers to see if there's something that keeps you going with the vape. And don't worry, this seems to be a pretty good wagon - you can ride as you want to.

Here and back
I'm not beating you up James, really I'm not. For me, from the day I received my 510 and the batteries were charged I never looked back. I was a smoker for 41 years and I guess I was just ready to quit, tried all kinds of things before.

Two things that have helped, first, I never - will not - even try a cig because I know me, I'll be right back to it. And second, I keep a tally of how much I've spent on e cig stuff, it's a stunning amount, and I'm too cheap to throw all that $$$$ out the window so I stick with it.

I have really bad days, today was one, so I just puff like nobody's business on the e cig until the "bad thoughts" go away.

Whatever you do, I wish you all the best.

James, I personally think that the 510 isn't enough for you and I think that, that is a big problem. I'm going through the same thing. right now, I'm vaping a manual 510 but it's not enough. So, I thought about it for a little while and came up with a plan. I noticed that the only time I went for an analogue, it was whenever I was in stressful situation or just after eating...etc. I realized that, in those times, I need more than the 510 was giving me and a Marlboro Red would do that...more throat hit, more vapor, more Nicotine.

Today, I ordered an eGo ((much, much better battery life)) kit from Cignot. With it, I included 4 different flavors of juice at a higher nicotine level than I've been using. Then I went to nhaler and got a Low Resistance Atomizer (woulda gotten more but I'm sticking to my budget. The one LR atty will last me until I get paid next week so that's cool) And made another high Mg ejuice purchase at tasty vapor so that I could choose my PG/VG ratio. Plus, I heard their stuff is awesome.

My point is, if you're fighting fire with fire, but losing the battle, then make a bigger fire! The 510 has kept me down to about 3-4 analogs per day (which, aggreeably, is a marked improvement from my 1 1/2 or 2 packs of Marlb Reds a day). At first, I was pretty satisfied with these results but, now, I'm disappointed that I'm still smoking ANY analogs! So I patiently await my eGo and am sharpening the axe to use on my 15yr old, won't go down without a fight, analogue habit. It's gonna die and it knows it! LOL. Sorry about the rant. Keep trying brother, make adjustments and don't be too hard on yourlself when you slip. You smoked for a long time and it'll take a while to quit. I think, that as long as you're getting frustrated when you do slip, that means that you still want to get rid of em. I'd start to worry if you stopped caring.I would suggest stepping up to the next level on your pv and on your juice because there are some PVs out there that will knock you on your ..... Don't just quit at the 510. Just my 2..uh....10cents. Lol!

I received my blucigs on tuesday. I was happy at first because I thought I could give up the analogs. I was disappointed when I learned that the carts from blu don't last worth a crap. And I am having real problems with the blupack keeping its charge. I'm smoking an anolog Camel as I type this. But for a brief time, I was smoking only the blu, so I know it IS POSSIBLE. I decided that rather than ordering another carton of carts, I would get a 30ml bottle of e-juice and see how that would work. I know it won't happen overnight, but I can at least see a light at the end of the tunnel.
