I think the key thing, as Datacrypt said, is to remember how many analogs you haven't smoked. I don't really consider myself having actually "quit smoking"; I've only chosen a much, much healthier alternative. I've been vaping for over 3 month and in that time I've had less than 1/2 a pack of analogs. I used to go through that many in a typical morning, so that's something to proud of. You should be proud too!!!

Tasty Vapor has Peach Cobbler, it's very good! I'd be willing to trade you some for something else, since I have such a big batch.

Also, you're correct in saying that it's more about how many analogs we have avoided!

I ran out of Halo this weekend and fell off the wagon too. After 3 months... Ugh. It tasted like dirt! As soon as my favorite juice came in the mail I stopped. Just that easy. Because you mentioned beer, V4L sent me a sample of their Lager flavor a few weeks back. I would never have bought it, but it was pretty good!

Lager flavor, not too sure I'd like that. I could see myself vaping the whiskey or rum while enjoying an alcoholic beverage. :D

I fell of the wagon tonight. I bought a pack of cigarettes and smoked a few. The reason? I only have one flavor of eliquid because I'm working a political campaign for a friend for free and I'm waiting on Financial Aid.

I know, I know. Sob story, right? Oh well, I'll smoke a real cigarette every now. Ecig, analog, etc etc. All I have right now is Peach Cobbler. It sure doesn't taste good with beer either.

Is this normal? :glare:

Sorry, one more time and they will ban you from this site. Policy, you know. lol :p

Post number 5...lol...my solution was to buy a bottle of ejuice as back up.. use ur catridges but get a lil bottle of the juice to keep in ur 5th pocket of jeans and when ur out of cartridges and cant gt to any just refil until you can

that worked for me but what ends up happening isd u see how much further filling urself goes and then u will be converted away from cartridges....but just always keep a small bottle just for backup purposes...

I wish everybody would stop using this very negative phrase because it does not belong in our vapors' vocabulary.

If we can just eliminate the "Q" from our vocabulary, we would not have this negative phrase and other BAGGAGE like "fail," "relapse," "stress," "guilt," etc. When you use the "Q" word, you "paint yourself into a corner" as DaveP said.

I never tried to "Quit," and my journey has been nothing but pure fun and totally stress-free!

That's the one thing that's most disconcerting about e-cigs for me: hardware failure. A FEW times in my life, I've gotten stuck without cigarettes because of "hardware failure" (pack dropped into the river while rafting, for example), and I've since figured out ways around that (extra pack in car at all times; a few packs hidden throughout the house for emergencies).

But w/ e-cigs, stocking up for emergencies can be expensive! (I'm going on 3 wks of e-cigs). I've got 3 extra unused batts, 5 atomizers, and I've ordered extra juices, carts, and little sponge things.

Problem for me this weekend was, I got a large bottle of juice I love, but the bottle came apart! (The tip got stuck in the cap; the "eyedropper" part is unusable). I've rigged up something else to hold the juice, but I've got to pour instead of drop, which gets messy (and is a lot of wasted juice) until my new shipment gets in. :-/

So I'm going to use a few different suppliers in case I get a bad batch or bottle again; and I guess I'll learn how to handle "bad bottle" problems (maybe have backup bottles to transfer juice into?).

But it was certainly easier having backup cigs than having backup e-cigs. Takes a lot more thought.

SOOOO TRUE! I was always scared that I would get stuck for whatever reason with out smokes. The mere thought of it gave me anxiety attacks, so I always had a couple packs stuffed around. In my car, at work, at home Etc... And now with vaping I still do it. I have my main stash at home where I can control the light/temp to keep it fresh, and I have this little makeup bag that I take with me everywhere that has spare carts, batteries, attys and cartomizers along with at least three flavors of juice in it per day.

Seriously. Shaka has it right.

Switch to vaping.

You will discover what you need to have on hand as you make the journey. What works and what doesn't.

When you tell a child to perform a large task, like raking an acre lawn, they only see the destination and usually fail. If you tell the child to rake a section and when they finish that, another section, repeat, repeat, they can accomplish the whole job easily.

Since we are not children and know these things about human nature, this should be the way we approach vaping. It is a journey. Each step is important. Not the destination. A step is easy to take and nearly anyone can do it.

If you've ever done any hiking, back tracking to find a better way ahead is not failure. It is what it is about. Going forward no matter what direction that is.

Don't feel bad. If nothing else, you've cut down a lot.

Three months ago, I decided I wanted to start "cutting down" on tobacco cigs. I did - went from a pack a day to 1/2 pack a day. It's only been a few days now that I haven't bought any more cigarettes, and when I do try one now it tastes terrible. So maybe I'm finally through with the tobacco! But if I do want to have one, that's fine too.

After 20 years of 2 and a half packs a day, I started with an Njoy NCig in October of last year. Initially, I stopped analogs completely, but after about a week I realized I could smell cigarette smoke on my wife (she wasn't interested in ecigs). The only way to kill that smell was to smoke a few cigarettes a day myself to keep my sense of smell deadened.

Unfortunately, that then ramped up to smoking a little over a pack a day of analogs. On the plus side, the savings from the reduction in analogs is still enough to cover the ecig supplies.

Once you get your backup supplies, it's not that bad. The biggest mistake I made when I first started was thinking that an extra addy and carts were all I needed.

I don't know how many people have tried the NCig product, but it's failure rate is through the roof. Luckily, we have a local mall kiosk where I can exchange batts/attys without any hassles.

I started with the 510's. Got my wife started too. Also got a silver bullet. Bought enuf juice to last 6 mos. Had great success, more energy, no stinky clothes, better breathing- apparently the "usual" story. After about 3 months I had a family situation out of town that proved really stressful. When stressed I tend to chain smoke. I was running down a 510 bat in a single sitting, just kept topping off the cart. Eventually ran my extra down before the other could charge. Bummed an analog from my sister. That was all she wrote- after that initial analog it seemed the ecig just wasn't doing it for me anymore. I've tried to go back a couple of times but no joy. Tried different juice, stonger juice, just not satisfying. Dunno what it is. Anyone else had this problem?
