haven't read this anywhere yet, figured I'd offer it up to anyone who does cartomizers

when you're topping one off, put a condom on the battery end before you fill it -- and the juice starts to pool like the filler isn't sucking it up as fast, just create a seal with your lips and blow into the cartomizer a little and unless it's really full already you should notice that the top of the filler looks dry and ready for more liquid

just a little tip -- some people put the cartomizer in something and sling it around to use centrifugal force to work the liquid down toward the battery end, some people shake it up -- but I've found blowing in it really works great for topping it off

Oh Jeez, thanks Kissmint. Been on this forum a week or two and have been trying to figure out how the hell I was going to put a condom over the bottom of a carto. Couldn't really visualize the benefit either. Plus trying to explain to wife why I was buying condoms after the , umm, surgery a few years back.

You made my day!

Blowing works, but don't blow too hard. I've blown the juice filled cap off the end(wow there is no way around this sounding bad). Another way I've had good luck with, is the "thermometer shake".When it pools, just put either the plug, or the other end of the condom over the mouth end, then end an shake the cart like a thermometer with the connector facing away from you.
Just for clarity, when using this method you should also be using the condom with the atty plug, on the atty end.

FWIW, I always had bad luck using the condom filling method when going from the battery end, I have great success when going from mouthpiece. Vapor4Life has some videos showing this. Then I use the Tarayn spin to "settle" the juice.

only time I have had to blow a carto is if I over filled it by dripping in it. I can usually tell it needs it when I fill alot of juice in the carto and get little to no vapor when I use it. I blow it out like an atty, putting a tissue or napkin at battery end and blowing through the mouth end.
Just my $0.02 and what works for me, ymmv.

Thanks Sean, I will have to try this tonight. I guess there are a few different types of cartomizers, and I had originally gotten the type with no filler material where the liquid actually is just held in a chamber of some sort. (They are a bit prone to leakage, but hey, that's why they say always wear a condom! LOL) Anyhow, I recently got different cartos with filler material, and I think I may have under filled two of them, since they gave off a burnt taste. I'll try filling them a bit more with this method tonight and let you know how it goes. Thanks!

Edit: (not my images, but this is what they look like)

You may be right about it being an E2. I really like the design better, I think the flavor is cleaner for sure. If i take the top cap off the mouth piece, there is another hard plastic piece underneath (which has a single smaller hole off to one side). I got that out once but it looks like a big chamber under that with no more washers or parts that I could remove. (I was trying to be careful not to break it, so I didn't try to go past that.) I usually fill with the condom method, but I just went out to vape and forgot to bring any, so I pulled off that top cap, dripped directly onto the next piece, blew a little to push it down in, and vaped. It worked great! I then switched back and forth between two different cartos for a little while. :) Mmm, waffles and cappuccino.

uh~ almost hate to jump into this, but I have better luck just blowing the excess back into the container!
Seems like it takes a bit of excess to fully wet the wicking, letting them soak a few minutes, they seem to work really well after the excess is back off. I'm using 801 cartos, with a Janty/Joye Stick. It's nice to have a couple ready to go. So imagine they're all a little quirky ~ but way nicer than conventional atty/cart. Like being on vacation!
