i wanted to stop by and say hello. been reading lots of thread and decided to join.
im in my mid 30's and have been smoking for 20 years. its time to quit or move over to a safer way. my little brother has been smoke free for almost a month. and has been nagging me to jump on the bandwagon. he says he feels great. besides the 1st 48hrs. so on monday i ordered the premium blu cig(the shorty not the 100) from there website, and tonight i got a email saying they processed my cc (only took them 3 days) and will ship out in 48hrs so i guess itll be here this weekend or monday. fingers crossed after reading the many negative reviews on here about the blu cig. i cant belive i picked the one with alot of problems. if im going to use this as a crutch to switch over i need a high quailty ecig. i went with blu because if a major cigarette company is backing them, then that should(should) mean that they are in the upper class of quality. im not hateing on other brands they all probably come from the same factory in china. id bet 99% of them do. hell half the boxes just have a differnt brand label on them.
thank you to all of you that have posted. that is how we all learn.

Try the blu, if it gets you off regular smokes, great! They aren't bad necessarily, and they are quite accessible (WalGreens). If you don't like it, see if you can walk into a brick and mortar Vape Shop / Vapor Store and try a kit. (cheaper than blu and more fun/power).
Thanks, everyone has to start somewhere, I went with blu because I wanted that original feeling of an original cigarette. After ordering the blu and reading on here I do wish I went with volt or the halo g6. But oh well. I got the blu. I will go to a vape shop and look for my options. I'm a railroader and work on call and have a layover in a hotel before I come back so my needs are probably different than others. I do know that I don't want a big heavy pv. Ill be researching on here for something that fits my needs. Seems like this forum is very active and I found a great home. Thank you.

Hehe, if a major tobacco company is backing them, then that probably means said tobacco company isn't worried about anyone quitting using that particular "backed" product... just saying... ;)

Major tobacco is buying into the fact that eCigs are profitable (aka made in china), and still addicting. They already have a market for it (all of the existing smokers). They have the money to advertise (aka blu/njoy). Smoke or vape, they get your money. Apparently some others have some product in the works, and for now they can advertise, meaning they can pick up non-smokers who may think its "cool" but don't want to be a smoker. Money makes the world go round for the big companies.

Oh I know, such is the case with some companies, while others rail against it. I'm just amused as the blu e-cigs have kinda a not so good reputation and being a supported product, well that says quite a bit right there. Few of the really good alternative smoking devices are supported by any tobacco company, at least in the research I've done most recently. Most tobacco companies support pharmaceutical companies as a quit smoking method, but I really do see what you mean. ;)

Hi and welcome to ECF. I tried NJOY and although they're very strong, I been told they're 35mg where a regular cig is about 18mg, they are satisfying if you can stand the nic jolt. The NJOYs are also soft as a cigarette. So, for that kind of cigarette simulation experience, NJOYs worked for me. As you read up on vaping, you'll quickly move up in equipment so try not to spend too much on cigarette sims. I won't suggest anything higher up the vaping chain because I don't want to spoil your fun. Have a nice ride!

congrats on making the switch!

I had the fortune of falling into Volcano e-cigs for my first experience- the batteries are great, versatile, long lasting. it's the delivery method and e-juice you'll have a lot of trial and error with to find what works best for you. from what I've noticed over time, most of the higher-quality, easier to use methods are 510 connections, so you might want to check on vendor sites and find batteries and delivery that fit what you're looking for.

it's different for everyone- I hold onto my 510 batteries for the close-to-cig experience and the larger (eGo) batteries for at home use- and found bottom-coil clearos are my perfect delivery method. took me a year to figure it out!

welcome to the forum. I tried the Blu aswell as my frist pv and it just didn't do it for me. the carts were expensive at 15 a pack for 5 ml of prefilled carts (1 ml each) the lack of battery wouldn't make it through my work day and the batteries got weak fast. I went back to smoking full time. I found an Ego 6 months later and have been using it for about 3 weeks now. I still have a cigarette when I get to work but it's my only one of the day and I've decided when this pack I have runs out I'm going to cut that one out aswell. most days I really dont even want that one I smoke but do so out of habit.
