Can't wait to see where you are in a month or two.

well i went to my local shop "The Vapor Lounge" just to see how all this works and they were super nice. we sat down and she told me how everything works and let me try about 20+ flavors. i found 2 flavors that tasted so good. we were using a ego twist with a 3ml tank that takes cartomizers. i was very impressed of the set up. she told me for about 100.00 she could set me up with something that would work for me. i know i paid more than online priceing but i got to test it all before i bought it. so i know im buying something i was satisfied with.
i got:
1x ego twist 1000mah (black)
1x ego sleeve (chrome)
1x tip (clear)
1x usb charger
2x 3ml (frosted tank)
2x 15ml e-juice (monkey cream and ryr4x4)
5x xxl cartomizers

update on my blu cigs. nothing still hasnt shipped. it WILL be going back if i cant get them to cancel my order.

my last smoke was at 1pm yesterday and i have made it through the night and even this morning.
im not sure if im doing it right. im only doing about 3-4 hits and im satisfied. but this morning i hit it 6 times then about 30 mins later went outside for another 3. im not aggrivated. i feel good and love this after taste. monkey cream is the bomb!!!

i will be telling everyone that i see smokeing cigarettes that there is an alternative (healthier and cheaper).

i want to personaly tahank everyone on the forum.

It really depends on if a ciga-like pv is necessary or enough. If it is then that's great. A lot of people do fine with them.
I couldn't deal with my v2 setup. Carts didn't last long, leaked in my mouth, batteries lasted not nearly long enough for a person like me chain vaping to quit and not have a analog cig.
I'm not going to post what I think you should get because I don't know you well enough. Feel free to message me and I'll be happy to help. Spare you spending more than necessary.

i ordered the premium blu cig(the shorty not the 100) from there website

There are a lot of mixed reviews and feelings on Blu. I already owned and had been using Blu when I found this website. Initially I thought maybe I was making a mistake or I could have purchased something "better" but I continue to use Blu (not the 100).

I haven't had a cigarette since 2-26-13, 100% using Blu. I like their accessibility. I can run to Walgreens and get more cartomizers if I need, even though they are cheaper on the website.

I used to smoke Marlboro Lights and first tried their 'medium' carts, but have found their 'high' carts to be more appropriate.

For someone who just wants to not smoke tobacco cigarettes, I have found Blu to be satisfactory for me. But if you are looking to get into the whole culture and hobby and experience of vaping, it appears Blu is not the favorite choice.

If you're impatient like me 7-11 has the njoy. They don't last long but I thought it worked well.

That is what makes this all so confusing. See, I found NJOY to be awful. But I find Blu acceptable where most find Blu to be "bottom of the barrel". There's cartomizers, atomizers, prefilled, fill your own, manual, automatic, juice, plug it in, build your own.

When I picked up an ecig, I had no idea so much existed on the subject. It really requires a lot of reading on this site to get even a rudimentary grasp on what vaping is all about and deciphering all the options.

If you feel daunted and overwhelmed...it's completely normal, believe me. It's ultimately about how satisfied you are with what you're using, as I indicated in a previous post. Many people here (including me) wasted literally hundreds of dollars before we found something that satisfied us 100%. If Blu really, really does satisfy you, then that's where you should stop, and stay. There's no pressure. The Blu commercials on television says it all when they say, "We're all adults here." :2cool:

Glad to hear your doing well rich and grats on the upgrade. I got a twist today too (same as a spinner i think) im happy with mine so far as well. Just keep it up day by day and after your a week without analogs go ahead and have a stinky to see what your missing. Youll see that everything that was great about smoking was ruined thanks to your ego and analogs taste terrible now. Im finally three days without one. I was smoking 1-3 a day for a few weeks until the taste and inconvenience got to me.

Thanks, everyone has to start somewhere, I went with blu because I wanted that original feeling of an original cigarette. After ordering the blu and reading on here I do wish I went with volt or the halo g6. But oh well. I got the blu. I will go to a vape shop and look for my options. I'm a railroader and work on call and have a layover in a hotel before I come back so my needs are probably different than others. I do know that I don't want a big heavy pv. Ill be researching on here for something that fits my needs. Seems like this forum is very active and I found a great home. Thank you.

I had a lot of success with Blu myself. And don't think they're terrible, they're... mediocre. Overpriced for what they are. Still, they are dead easy to use and do imitate a cig nicely. I think I needed that myself at first though I've moved on since. And they do have the advantage that their cartridges are available just about everywhere now.

They're not the worst thing you could get. And a lot of people come to the vaping world via Blu. I passed mine on to a friend who I introduced to vaping. There are so many options and possibilities in vaping that it's not a terrible thing to have something simple to start with while you're figuring out where you want to go next. All the choices in the vaping world can be kind of overwhelming at first. Having an easy to use kit to start with while you're getting oriented isn't a bad idea.

I still want to like Blu. Maybe they'll get their quality up. It's not a bad idea they have, it's just not executed all that well.

But they were the system that saw me drop from about two packs a day to three or four cigs a day. Almost overnight. And I wasn't even trying to quit. It just... happened. Shocked the daylights out of me. Got me started in this vaping thing and it's going great. Took about a month to come to a complete stop with cigs but I think I have now (I got my first Blu disposable Mar 3rd... so it was my one month "anniversary" just three days ago). I had fallen to no more than one a day but the past couple of days, really, really don't want to touch a cig. Have a pack in the kitchen cabinet. Could have one if I really wanted it. Every time I think of doing it, though, I'm kind of repelled. The last couple I did have tasted awful and gave me a headache. So I may have stopped completely now.

(Heh, not going to announce I'm totally quit for fear of jinxing it. :) )

Oh wait, just saw you posted you already had another system. Okay, never mind! :)

Either way, welcome to ECF!

Good for you! Blu helped me quit, and for that I will always be grateful, but they are just...lacking, and the 'good stuff' is actually more economical, by a country mile. I learned the hard/expensive way, believe me.

Same here. I was going through their cartridges like crazy. It was becoming as expensive as smoking.

Then I came here and found out I could get better stuff for less.

Oh well. They got me here. And I saw a massive slow down in smoking using Blu. So I'll always be a bit fond of them...

I have to give credit to Blu for their advertising, that is what got me to start thinking about vaping and led me here. Thanks to all of the great advice on this forum, I started with the eGo twist and Kanger t3's. It is working great and even though I am ready to move up to bigger and better, there will always be a place for my eGo's. They do work great and have gotten me thru the tough times so far.

My first couple of weeks vaping Blucigs was actually more expensive than smoking cigarettes, because I was going through 2 or 3 cartridges a day, and at $15 a pop for a pack of 5....I had to to slam on the brakes quick, fast, and in a hurry while I searched for a more economical and more satisfying vape. That "one cartridge=one pack of traditional cigarettes" line is just that, a line.

I try to buy most of my Blu cartridges online, which brings their cost down to around $9 a pack of 5.

But, having vaped Blu exclusively now since 2-26-13, (hopefully that will change after I do more research here) I have noticed an enormous inconsistency in their cartridges.

Regardless of cart strength, right out of the pack some seem to be almost empty. No vapor, a burning taste. Some seem half full, they only last maybe a couple of hours. And some are great at first. Nice taste, good vapor - then hours later, burning taste, no vapor, and there was no way that was a "pack" of vaping. And the rare cart that has nice taste, good vapor and last all day.

Also the carts I buy from them online seem to be 'better' than the ones I buy at the local store.

I don't know what causes such a wide range of inconsistency in their carts, but it is annoying.

I only got one cart that was a dud, so I guess I was lucky in that regard. I did order online from them, once, and once was all it took. It seems they have this annoying habit of not letting you know an item is out of stock when you place your order, and mine took a week to get to me. I read (after the fact) numerous similar complaints, I don't know if they've resolved that particular issue in the last few months, but there it is...:glare:
