ah ha, if online sales go, I'm kinda screwed. The only B&Ms around here SUCK no way they'd carry anything but their own garbage. I hate B&Ms, probably because I've never been to a good one. I greatly prefer doing business online anyway...oh this is a grim thought :(

I'm in the same boat. Nothing available locally. I'll be making some very long drives to stock up.

Yep, we may have to drive to VT, or MA or something. Actually if all I had to do was drive to VT - not a huge deal. Burlington is less than 3 hours and I'd get to ride the ferry across Champlaign :) and see friends over there, to boot (I used to live in VT)

I dunno, if the online market truly gets shut down (fingers crossed it doesn't) I would expect the B&M market to respond...more vape shops, more available at smoke shops, head shops, and convenience stores. Assuming that don't also get crazy regulations....the demand is just too big to limit supply that much. :2c:

Any time I get too worried about where things might be heading, I check out the SG forum. Where there's a will, there's a way.

The problem is twofold in my state as it is trying to shut down eliquid sales at the state level. if it weren't for this amazingly beautiful 6 million acre park, I'd never live in NYS. I do like some of the laws the state has - better than where I grew up without a doubt - however, the state is gung-ho with stuff, does tons of dumb things. I miss VT so much :( I felt at home there politically. I only feel at home here naturally--if that makes sense?

Granted, that's most important to me I believe :) I sure do love this area. JUST LET ME KEEP MY JUICES, MMMKAY?

I feel ya. I have nothing political in common with my state. In fact, they're doing rather horribly at the moment.
No real Vape related stuff. They banned sales to minors. Probably a good thing anyways. One city in my metro area banned vaping in public. Haven't seen how that's affected the Vape stores in that area. Only the one city though, so far.

And it gets worse, now RJ Reynolds is asking the FDA to ban all open equipment, anything that allows you to use your own juice. They want closed untamperable cartridges to be the only vape gear allowed. They specifically mention atomizers, mods, juice, and all parts of same.

I'm not sure I've ever seen a company openly request legislation to give them a monopoly before.

Hense the reason I have so much stockpiled...

And now they are trying to add all vape gear to a category listed as paraphernalia. The TN cops would love for this to happen and you can bet they would enforce it.

Nope, they have that covered (though I can't wait to see the lawsuits flying) all e-liquid, including those WITHOUT nicotine are considered "tobacco products"

If RJ Reynolds has their way all of the B&M s will be shut down as well, they specifically mentioned them in their request, cited them as dangerous.

Big Tobacco is now fighting for it's life and they are playing hard ball with enough money to make the government listen.

I haven't seen anything yet about RJ Reynolds' requests re: B&Ms and "paraphernalia", but it wouldn't surprise me one bit. As far as the bolded statement above, you hit the nail right on the head. And we know the government and politicians listen real well when there's money involved!

They will destroy everything from our lungs and well-being to the earth itself because of money. Inhumane.

Yes, they are like a cornered rattlesnake that's been poked with a stick. All I can say is I know we may not see their demise in our lifetime but I'm hoping we can watch them cry a lot and wail and start their slow painful death.

    Yes, I'm riled up...

Meg, please.... take a few deep breaths. We are all worried, but this level of upset is especially harmful for you. Know that I am saying this out of genuine caring for your well being!

Eh, I'm good. I put the riled-ness to good use and mopped the kitchen. Now I will fall over. :thumb:

Am I the only one who doesn't blame RJR? If the government wasn't willing to make laws based on who handed them the biggest check, BT would stop giving them money and invest more in making good juices.

I really think big pharma is just as guilty. Unfortunately there are two sources of "greasing palms" as a result which reinforces the "inability" of the FDA to actually do its job as a result...
