Finally happened to me today .. negative vaping comments from smokers...

Long story short, there are a few of us at work that have transitioned from smoking to vaping. My buddy and I (the guy that got me started on vaping) both use Egos and another guy is happy with his disposables.

All the smokers are used to us vapers and know what we're doing, but there was an event at work today and unknown smokers were at our location.

Ego friend and I went out for a vape after lunch and there's our disposables buddy talking to a bunch of strangers and he had us show them our Egos and explain them. Apparently he was trying to convince them about vaping.

We got the usual "that's soooo huge" comments, but also, "you know, those are worse for you than cigarettes?".
Got one I've never heard before too..."I heard those smell really bad!"

I told them to visit here, patted disposables buddy on the shoulder and said "you're on your own". Went inside. Oy.

LOL I had someone try to tell me ecigs cause pneumonia because you are inhaling water vapor! I had to laugh. I wanted to ask him if he held his breath when he took a shower so he did not get pneumonia! Sometimes you can't reason with stupid!

They probably read it on the internet, and you know they can't put anything on the internet that is not true.

LOL!!!! If someone is a non-smoker I have a lot more patience. It's just hard not to smirk when a smoker tells you they smell bad. C'mon, really?

To be fair, these are the first negative comments I've directly received, period.
Most people, smokers and non-smokers alike, have been pretty positive about my switch.
Sometimes smokers are dubious about their personal ability to switch, but that's OK.

I've heard the pneumonia comment myself, its just ignorant. I had one of my co-workers say I may as well go back to analogs and dipping bc vaping has got to be worse for you. Just another example of mis-information by the mainstream.

An older lady, cashier at Walmart, told me she heard they were 'worse than cigarettes', because they were 'full of chemicals' [with a look on her face as she said 'chemicals' like she'd smelled a fermented burrito fart]. She was a smoker.

I am lucky my friends and coworkers have been really supportive and are interested. I discuss all my flavors and dream pieces, have passed it around at work for sample vapes, and have 2 coworkers who just ordered their own stash. Ignore them they don't know what their missing
