All of mine is frozen, including the liter I broke down into 120ml bottles. I just take out one to use & it stays in a cupboard. I just mixed a 500ml jar of 18mg base yesterday. Going to start having that ready so all I have to do is add flavoring & top off the bottle with base.

Mine's going into the freezer soon. I've had the nic for about 10 days in an air conditioned room. Since a bottle will last me 9 years at 3mg juice levels, I should freeze it. One of my 100mg/ml liters is still unopened. The other is missing only a small amount.

I really don't want to put it in the main freezer with our frozen food, so I'm probably going to find a small refrigerator with enough freezer room to store a liter and several 240ml bottles. The one we keep soft drinks in has a freezer section about 3" high. It's not suitable.

Walmart had a dorm refrigerator/freezer for $75 on sale the other day. Its freezer was about 8" tall and a foot and a 16" wide. I'll probably go back and get one.

If you mean one of those little open thin metal "freezer" sections in a mini fridge, I wouldn't bother. They are notoriously unreliable, quickly frost over if you open and close the fridge a lot (even if you don't) which means pulling your nic out to defrost it, and the temp regulation is poor. Better off just in the back of your regular freezer if you have a fridge with a separate freezer door. If you have too much to store, get a small dedicated freezer. It won't be all that much, especially considering how you're expecting it to protect your valuable nic for a decade or more.

If you're spending money on dedicated storage; consider this.

I agree. You could get a small dedicated freezer. There are some 3 cu ft.

That might be an option. I'll check it out.
I just wanted to add, I fully agree with IDJoel. I'm planning on buying a mini freezer this weekend for all my nic. I have spent soooo much time shopping online, I can tell you I can't find a better price than Magic Chef from Home Depot. I'm thinking of going with the 3.5 cubic feet...now I'm considering going a little bigger, sounds like a good deal o_O

I worked for HD for 15 years including supervising the appliance department. I can attest that I saw very few returns on Magic Chefs. The one or two I can recall were dent issues and not mechanical (not a bad idea to pop the cardboard before you leave the store).
Magic Chefs don't offer much in the way of whistles and bells, and they are a bit louder (sound of the compressor) than the more expensive models, but they seem to run forever. If you want a higher end manufacturer; Maytag makes a very dependable product too.

If all the horror stories about the toxicity of Nic would be true, people would be dropping dead by the hundreds, at least.

We would have heard about it by now for sure. If exploding batteries are worth a story, imagine a kid who died bc of swallowed eliquid.

Oh, if you start drinking the stuff you can kill yourself for sure! No one is saying we should be leaving Nic., at any concentration, within reach of children. Nicotine does have it's toxicity and needs to be handle with respect. It can and will harm you if you are careless with it. We are just saying that it isn't caustic and doesn't absorb super fast and most often common sense and simple safety precaution will keep you safe.

Most of the small ones I've seen are top load chest freezers like that one. We have a mini fridge in the laundry room that you have to bend over double to get into. I'd like a front door mini freezer that I can set the mini fridge on top of to raise the mini fridge. That would be my ideal combo. I haven't found one with front door access yet.

Honestly, you're better of with a top door freezer. Cold air sinks, so when you open a top door to get something out, the interior will not warm much or at all if you're quick. With a side door, the interior cold air will be dumped out and the freezer temp will take a bit before getting back to normal cold storage temp.

That's true. It's especially true for a freezer that you open frequently. We had a top load chest freezer for a long time. When it was full we had to keep the door open for longer than necessary to find things that were several levels deep. With the front load freezer we have now, it's easier to find what you're looking for because of the shelves inside and the pockets on the door. I think we shut the door more quickly with a front load freezer, but you can see the cold mist falling to the floor.

For a nic freezer top door would be more efficient, but I'd keep my smaller working bottle at room temp and freeze the rest.

Check Amazon. I've seen them there.
