There have been concerns, I have read about using Fire ......ant Material.

So I did some reading, basically the ......ants are chemically inserted during the manufacturing process and become part of the molecular composition of the fabric. This increases the melting point and causes it to shrink before melting. It is the melting that releases harmful poison. Based on what I have read,
the non-fire ......ant material is more dangerous.

I have since switched to the Fire ......ant Material, I no longer get that nasty plastic taste, which is a sign poison is being released from polyester. I am using batting, I use a very light amount and the wicking action is very good.

I don't know, I haven't tried that, I have heard it works. Just watch out for the taste, if you are tasting plastic, toxins are being released. I have tried teabags, coffee filters, non of which worked that great, too absorbent for me.
I switched to the ......ant after reading up on it.
The burnt plastic taste off the stock material is nasty.
