After 32-33 years of smoking M100's red... Today is my 2 months - analog free - anniversary!!

I have read a ton of posts here and I figure today is the day to say something..

Something - j/k - Woo Hoo! :)

Jan. 3rd - Mar. 3rd - what a journey! I learned a lot of stuff in the past two months and bought a bunch as well!

Here is my hardware and juice list after 60 days. Is this normal or am I obsessed?

Blu starter pack -- gathering dust... I liked the taste? it just couldn't keep up with me.
Battery 1 650mah ego my first! :)
Battery 2 900mah ego
Battery 3 1300mah Ego
Battery 4 efire wooden skull 900 mah VV
2 MVP 2's - 1 in the mail from fasttech
5 Vista Nova Tops _ I still like these - not as much as the Evods though.
1 Pro Tank 2 - drinking out of a glass, is better than plastic or a can.... so it is with vaping also! imho..
1 Clearomizer CE4 - tastes nasty now, but I keep it for sentimental reasons... was my first taste into juice vaping.
2 Iclear 30 Dual coil 3.0 ml - 1 free with 1st MVP 2nd in the mail
2 Iclear 16's free with 2nd MVP 2 - in the mail.
3 Evods bottom coil - 1 Red. 1 black, 1 green - color coded flavors! woo hoo! big ego cloud!
1 Rg5 Bottom Coil Glassomizer - in the mail from fasttech
10 Wick/Coil replacements Vista Nova
10 Wick/Coil replacements Protank 2 & evods
1 Atomizer Resistance Testor - in the mail from fasttech
100 ft. 32 gauge A1 Kanthal Wire - so far, I keep shorting out on my re-wicks... am working on it though.
Cotton gauze material for wicks
1 blood red drip tip
1 Silver skull drip tip
100 2.5 ohm pre-made wicks - in the mail from fasttech
100 1.8 ohm pre-made wicks - in the mail from fasttech
1 Black Mamba wrap for MVP2... awesome - installed.. :)

I dunno if its normal to buy so much stuff in 60 days? - but, I look at it this way - The price of one MVP2 is less than a weeks worth of cigs. and after the money is spent, I have something I can charge my phone on, rather than a pile of cigarette butts. plus - I am experimenting and looking for a better and better vaping experience... and this is fun! :)

My Juices:

United Tobacco 17ml - ehh.. the Blu original was better.
Irish Cream 17ml - good!
Mocha 17ml - good!
Coffee Café 17ml - good!
Cotton Candy 100ml - so good I bought a giant bottle! :)
Black Licorice 110ml - so good I bought a giant bottle! :)
Icy Menthol 17ml - ehh..
Cherry Blosson 10ml - ehh..
Butter Pecan 17ml - good!
Strawberry Monroe 10ml -- free sample from mvp2 ebay seller -- good stuff!
Watermelon 17ml - ehh to yuck!
Green Apple 17ml - ehh..
Dragons Blood 30ml - ehh to yuck!
Rootbeer 50ml - good to ehh..
Caramel Machiato 30ml - good
Very Cherry 30ml - ehh to yuck!

I guess I like the sweet stuff... I am going to order some liquid from Halo, soon as my analog savings get closer to my e-cig spending - (1 more week) - I want to try the Tribecca that everyone raves about and the Bobas Bounty from AVE

Things I am starting to really get interested in -- making my own juice and those rebuilds to make giant clouds of vapor- cause ya never know when you'll have to send a S.o.S vapor signal!

So, I would like to know where any other newbies are at 60 days or thereabouts - not as a competition - just as a reflection of their journey and experimental experience. - or at least to say Congrats to you!

Hi and welcome!

After smoking for a long time and finally being able to quit can make one giddy. If you can afford to buy toys to celebrate good going!!! If you're spending money you need for other things, then perhaps you might slow down. After you have been here awhile you may wish to get verified and sell the stuff you're bored with in the classifieds. My only suggestion is to buy smaller bottles of juice until you know you really like it. Just because something sounds good, doesn't mean you'll enjoy vaping it.

Cheers!

Congratulations on giving up analog cigs. That is a huge thing you accomplished. As for your hardware very cool. I was smiling the whole time I read your post. Vaping is different than smoking. Vaping is a hobbie not a habbit. If you are satisfyed with your current set ups then you are good. If you are chasing a perfect really perfect vape that you haven't hit yet. Well thats a whole different story.

I started with cheap china made analog look a likes. They did an ok job. I just wanted to vape to relax. I wasn't smoking before I started vaping. I like Ego. I have the Emax VV/VW 900 mah. I have 2 1300mah. I have 2 900 mah batteries. Ego is easy and is good enough for me. I do mix my own juice on occations.

What really counts is if you are satisfied with what you have.

If you enjoy using what you have.

If you are having some fun as well.

Vaping=Fun

I am at two months too: switched to vaping January 3, along with my husband. We have less hardware, more juice (especially due to DIY). We have 2 VV eGo batteries, and 4 eGo T batteries; 4 Protank Minis (+ 2 fake ones), 5 CE4 clearos, a bunch of replacement heads plus wick and wire, and, um, juice... let me go count...

Okay: 30 flavor concentrates, 28 bottles of DIY juice, and 33 bottles of branded e-liquid, plus nicotine base, PG, VG, pipettes, bottles, needles.

And, waiting on an Innokin SVD, an Innokin iTaste VV V3.0, and an RG500 glassomizer from Fasttech. I would have bought a Provari by now, but they are hard to get here, and cost a fortune to ship. Once we really know what the hell we're doing, we'll get a couple of super awesome luxe setups from the fabulous Greeks, like GG, GP Paps, Atmistique.

Altitude000, you're crazy! Jk, I'm 3 weeks in. Started with a Vuse, blech! What a horrible, horrible product. Luckily, I .....ed about it with the cashier at the gas station and he suggested a "real Ecig."

I went to a local shop and bought an iTaste vv 3.0 along with a Kanger Pro Tank 2 and a couple different juices.

The first day it tasted so much better and I wasn't stinking. A week in, and the vv wasn't lasting me a whole day without plugging it in (thankfully it's a pass through). So, I bought another!

I've been talking vaping up so much with friends and relatives that I'm giving them both away! I've got an iTaste VTR on the way along with 2 18650 2250 mah batteries and a Nitecore charger. That should last a day or two! :D

Sent from a van down by the river.

Hopefully perfectly normal because I'm right there with you. This is just some of my stuff I have other things in my drawer and in different places for quick access lol. I'm just over 90 happy healthy days in to vaping only with no anologs. I've given away so much stuff to because of juice I didn't like or I just moved on like ego batteries and evods to get friends started. Glad to have u along for the ride looks like we quit Stinkies around the same time. I think I just enjoy the hobby of it and they said vaping was cheaper :p:p:p

Rules? Normal? That doesn't fly here.

If you switched from smoking to vaping, and you are happy with where things are at that's what really matters. We all climb that ladder of changing gear and buying gear in very individualized ways, with different pacing and timing. Some people stick with basic gear for a long time - if it works that's all that matters. Some people go nutz with Gear Acquisition Syndrome and the hobby aspect takes over.

You get to pick your own normal - that's all I'm saying. (But a lot of people do what you did in under 30 days too.)

haha Altitude enjoy the ride - it can go from vaping to hobby/obsession and shinyitis. I probably went down the same path as you and it hasn't stopped yet. I just fell in love with the whole thing and it turned into a hobby and a collection. I have spent more than I would have on cigs, but i will catch up as you do end up slowing down a bit after you have been vaping a while and become more selective with the mods you buy (especially the expensive high end ones). I figure though I have something to show for my money and a nice collection to boot instead of nothing, and when i look at them i smile because they make me happy - so I say haha normal - Go for it, and enjoy. Gratz on the anniversary and keep them coming.

Thank you all for the encouraging words! what a great way to come home from work and read what y'all had to say!

My co-worker/buddies are shocked at all the stuff I buy, because every-time they see me I have something different... hahah :) ... The expression on the face of one particular friend at work (and I laugh when I think about it) - was priceless when I told him I was vaping dragons blood... :D

I have gotten 3 people to order starter packs from Vista Vapors, when they had this 5 juice - free e-cig deal going. I feel pretty good about that, but I dont see them getting serious about it... they are still smoking and only hit the e-cig part time. I try to explain how I migrated to bottom coils (EVODS) and why -- but, its kind of like they lost their initial excitement about it. I think ya have to really want to make it work - instead of it being some some kind of magic wand...

Again - thanks y'all!

Downtownjeffbrown : What are them yellow missile looking things in your well organized case? :) ... screwdrivers?

Congratulations! Yeh, ya kinda jumped in with both feet. I think it took me about 8 months to accumulate that much but... maybe bad news... it doesn't stop! Another 8 months and I doubled all that. I'm trying to put the brakes on now and think I have since I now keep reaching for the same two setups and ADVs. Anyway, welcome and good luck!;)

Lol, its those durn "backups for the backup of the backup" that gets us piling on. I too, about 2 months now, started with the ego650, a couple of EGO t's and a vv EGO with a better battery, then got an MVP v2. Started with the clearos, then glassomizers, got an Iclear30, and Davide regular and mini. Have about 20 bottles of juices, smaller sizes to test, bigger for the ones I like. Got my sister, a hardcore smoker and her friend trying the EGO's I didn't use and now I'm about to place an order for 2 more MVP's and Davides for them. They already know the juice they want so gonna place a BIG order for that too...lol. I love it, everyone around me is having fantastic results with the cessation. (Funny thing is, I had quit 5 years ago and just started this for the nic hit w/o the tar, etc...and now I have smoking friends/family around me quitting!!) My mom passed in Dec and I know she is looking down from above, tickled that my sister is gonna quit too.
