First coil build

So I made the mistake of jumping in with both feet and purchased a fishbone xs rda. Four post triple coil setup. Lets just say its a pain in the ... to put it lightly. Im using 28g kanthal with an istick 60w but not gettin much vapor production.

Tell us about the coils? Try 2-3 less wraps per coil. Looks like you have about 9 on maybe 2-2.5mm id? 7 wrap on 2.5mm will net at .4ohms. 5 wraps about .3.

I didnt like that build. My ocd got me. So i made this with twisted 28g kanthal wire 5 wraps dual coil .45ohm. Still learning its a long process just making the twisted kanthal. Looks so much nicer in the end though.

I have this rda and yes! it is a pita! to build on and ive built a lot of builds on lots of dif attys

i think i only rebuilt that rda twice and i think the first time was 28g and that in the pic maybe 26g, i havent bothered with it for a long time, i have a couple of phenotype-L rda's which are my fav at the mo and are so easy to build on you can prob do it blind folded
But back to the fishbone! the main priority for me when i was building the it was to get the coils directly over the top of the airflow slots and to make sure after wicking it that the air could escape underneath and behind the coils also and it tasted pretty good But as said i dont think it was worth the hassle in the end

No you are right and its actually put a sour taste in my mouth as far as making my own coils so im back to my triton 2 until I get a better rda :/.
