Congratulations on switching! I hit my second week this past Wednesday.
Some suggestions that helped me, take or leave as you wish.
1. I got a Joytech ego variable twist battery and a Smoktech locking tank with dual coil 2.0 cartomizers. This rig gives me the amount of juice, vapor and taste that I need to feel satisfied.
2. I was missing the complexity of flavor that tobacco brought to the experience and didn't know it. (I found this out this time after trying to switch about two years ago and failing. That was the main reason, right there. Didn't have a clue! lol) So I bought some OMFG tobacco (a rich, lightly sweet honeyish tobacco flavor) from my local store and added it to all my other flavors. That did the trick on cravings.
3. I found out, after some experimentation, that I needed about a 45/55 mix of non-tobacco flavor to tobacco flavor. My main is peach and omfg tobacco. I get a nice, luscious vapor full of flavor from that.
4. You should look up the post on how smoking on an e-cig is different than an analog. You have to do a longer, slower draw and mainly keep the vapor in your mouth (don't try to inhale to lungs) then exhale. Exhale some through your nose for the full flavor and the full nicotine hit (it takes longer for the nicotine to get in to your system than with a reg cigarette). (This helped me a LOT)
5. I use a 70pg/30vg mix with 24mg of Nicotine for the perfect vapor, throat hit and flavor. I plan on dropping to 18mg next juice order though. I vape a LOT and I don't need THAT much nicotine (24) with this much vaping. hehe
Sounds like you are having a lot of fun just exploring everything. That's what I'm doing as well. (I'm a total geek and this fills that niche as well! lol)
I plan on getting an atomizer simply for sampling new flavors so I don't mess up a cartomizer with something I don't like. Read that suggestion here on the forums. (Read the forums! hehe)
Either way, don't give up. Once I got a rig and flavor settled, I had zero urges for a cigarette. It took me about a week and a half to quit reaching for them though.
I smoked for 30+ years and loved it, so for this to work for me is really something.
