Welcome, I have been lurking for a while and have been to Dragonfly and got my eVic from them. I like some of their juices, but also enjoy the ones from a new shop in Plano called Artisan Vapor Company. They are on 15th just east of 75. I am really happy to find so many DFW folks on here.

Right now I am vaping about 75% of the time and still in analogs 25%. I am really making an effort to go 100% vape.

Hi Razor...you certainly have jumped in with both feet :toast:. I'm on day 15, I've had a couple analogs during that time but for the most part...vaping. I honestly thought the transition would be harder. So far so good and I just got my first batch of juice.
I'm already trying to figure out what my next stick is going to be the Vamo sure looks pretty :hubba:
I'm impressed with how many vape store you seem to have in your neck of the woods. We have 1 in NYC and it's kinda out of the way.

Congratulations!

I'm in my first week of switching, as well. Specifically, 3 days, 18 hours, 38 minutes. So far, so good. Surprisingly, I've had very little to no cravings. That may have something to do with the fact that I'm using 36mg liquid, though. As I begin to replace my supply, I'll go down in nic and see if it effects me differently.

Although I live about 4 hours from DFW, I have ordered my e-liquid from DFW Vapor, and so far, it's the best I've tried.

I am heading to McKinney this weekend, so I'm planning to stop in and will likely drop a significant portion of my paycheck. :)

Right now, I'm using the 1000 mah eGo Twist with Kanger T2 & T3. It's been quite serviceable, but I'm not one to resist the temptation of gadgets, so I'm in the market for something like the ZMAX or Provari.

Ya we got a bunch of them in the area, having a college with 35,000 students could be a reason lol and a huge city.

Still going strong, day 5 is nearly over :)

I might look into a vv device soon, right now the 650mah ego-c batt is working fine. More interested in finding a juice or juice mix I can vape all day now. And have a few to change things up when I get home after work. Sounds like a few more Kanger MT3 and a vivi nova may be needed (Oh No :p).

Well, 1 week today :) Urges for an analog have been kinda strong my first week back at work after vacation. Caved in a few times at work and bummed one only taking a few puffs and my stomach and body started feeling funky so I put them out. Haven't bought a pack in a week now, that's a first in 6 years for me :D

Right now all I seem to be able to taste in menthol liquid :( Not sure if my taste buds are still screwed up from smoking or what, opinions? I get a faint touch of flavor from other liquids but it just isn't strong like the menthol is for me. I have a mango I got from DFWVapor that I can taste (so I lied on not being able to taste anything but menthol) but it makes me feel sick it's almost too heavy/rich feeling. Think I'm going to dump it and lesson learned. Went to Dragonfly in Lewisville and am trying their Pear too I got their strawberry, also picked up another MT3, they were sold out of Vivi Novas :( and then went to DFWVapor and picked up a 0mg Rasperry and 8mg Frost Peach (mix of menthol and Peach). Not a bad 1 week anniversary, 90ml of liquid and another Kanger MT3 (bringing the total to 3 now for me).

Thankfully having smoked Camel Menthols it is somewhat of a relief being able to taste it, think this may be my all day vape for now. Sorry for such a big post lol.

So I've saved $47.45 by now smoking but spent about $180ish now starting up vaping. Looks like I got a few weeks before I break even now, assuming I don't buy anything more (I do NEED a Nova though :p).

Something else I just thought of. I've noticed my hands are really dry and cracking and one has a red patch and the base of my thumb on the back of my hand and one the top of my wrist. The weather here in Texas had been warm (near 70-75) and suddenly dropped back down to the 50's with a strong wind. I've been drinking plenty of water or so I thought (about 5 20oz bottles worth or more maybe) and was wondering if this is a reaction to PG or just the dry/cold we're experiencing as well as me being back at work in a dry/cold environment. I'm the Dairy Department Manager at the local grocery store so my hands are always cold (I do wear gloves but they seem to dry my hands out too). Last week my hands were fine and from what I can remember they were fine this weekend. I'm only drinking water now with being back at work on break/lunch and when I go to the bathroom  I wanted to try some 100% VG but Dragonfly only does custom mixes on a huge order and their mix is 70/30 PG/VG and DFWVapor I forgot to ask silly me, I read online they do 70/30 mix too.

I've been hooked on vaping now for just a few months, and like everyone else, I love it. I've found myself just laying in bed, watching tv, vaping, and passing out with the tip still in my mouth (like a little baby and his bottle...HA!). Sounds crazy, but you wouldn't dare try this with the old analogs. No danger now, except maybe sleeping on it an breaking it and covering myself with delicious caramel juice! HA! PEACE

Congratulations on switching! I hit my second week this past Wednesday.

Some suggestions that helped me, take or leave as you wish. :)

1. I got a Joytech ego variable twist battery and a Smoktech locking tank with dual coil 2.0 cartomizers. This rig gives me the amount of juice, vapor and taste that I need to feel satisfied.

2. I was missing the complexity of flavor that tobacco brought to the experience and didn't know it. (I found this out this time after trying to switch about two years ago and failing. That was the main reason, right there. Didn't have a clue! lol) So I bought some OMFG tobacco (a rich, lightly sweet honeyish tobacco flavor) from my local store and added it to all my other flavors. That did the trick on cravings.

3. I found out, after some experimentation, that I needed about a 45/55 mix of non-tobacco flavor to tobacco flavor. My main is peach and omfg tobacco. I get a nice, luscious vapor full of flavor from that.

4. You should look up the post on how smoking on an e-cig is different than an analog. You have to do a longer, slower draw and mainly keep the vapor in your mouth (don't try to inhale to lungs) then exhale. Exhale some through your nose for the full flavor and the full nicotine hit (it takes longer for the nicotine to get in to your system than with a reg cigarette). (This helped me a LOT)

5. I use a 70pg/30vg mix with 24mg of Nicotine for the perfect vapor, throat hit and flavor. I plan on dropping to 18mg next juice order though. I vape a LOT and I don't need THAT much nicotine (24) with this much vaping. hehe

Sounds like you are having a lot of fun just exploring everything. That's what I'm doing as well. (I'm a total geek and this fills that niche as well! lol)

I plan on getting an atomizer simply for sampling new flavors so I don't mess up a cartomizer with something I don't like. Read that suggestion here on the forums. (Read the forums! hehe)

Either way, don't give up. Once I got a rig and flavor settled, I had zero urges for a cigarette. It took me about a week and a half to quit reaching for them though.

I smoked for 30+ years and loved it, so for this to work for me is really something. :)
