rta's all have their wicking ways. You keep saying that.I honestly don't think the wicking was my problem. Maybe it was but I wicked it using a Scottish Roll. That works well for me as a rule. IDK

Have you ever tried making mesh wicking posts for the Avocado? Just as posts going to the deck and then you would just drop the cotton on top of them to wick the coil. You keep saying that.I honestly don't think the wicking was my problem. I saw on YouTube that some did it on an Avacado (it was in French I think, did not understand) but I took the same premise and used the mesh posts in my Digiflavor Siren GTA and it works great no dry hits or leaking. Figured I'd throw it out there since the Avocado video gave me that idea.I tried this method but it didn't work well. There is not a lot of room in the tank for juice with mesh wicks in there. I found that it didn't really wick any better and lost most of the juice capacity.
For me the best wicking method with any RDTA is to keep the wick very short. I thin out the ends and just place the tips into the wick holes. This works well for me. I vape mostly on RDTA's. I have 6 of them and this wicking works on all of them.
rewicked it yesterday. kept the cotton quite short (fluffed it up a lot) and it has freed up a lot of tank capacity. really enjoying it.
the new exo? not so much...a thread might follow about that one.
still getting used to it but i do think RTAs are the way forward for me. have tamed the exo a bit but the 0.8 coil i fitted is a bit fierce. will hopefully find the right balance. thread to follow along with some images.I am so glad to hear that the Avacado is working well for you now. I do not love mine. Thinning and fluffing the wicks is key, as is keeping the wicks pretty short. That seems to be true for all RTAs that I have wicked. Can't wait to hear about the Exo. That Avacado, used for one day and now cleaned and reboxed, is going into the classifieds as soon as I can find the time to post my extra stuff there.

yeah...i know the disappointment of a new toy that doesn't live up to expectations. i have another couple of RTAs on my radar...can see this spiralling out of control! The reviews on the Avocado are great It just wasn't the atty for me and I was able to figure that out pretty quickly. I don't think I have seen a bad review. I suppose that not every single RTA is right for every single person. Sadly, it wasn't right for me. I wanted it to be and was excited to get it.![]()

meanwhile i have honed my coil winding skills a bit...
yes, yes it is!Those coils look very nice. It is fun, isn't it?
