So I am taking my first hits and here are some thoughts and worries...

1.) the throat hit seemed light on high tobacco carts that came with it (I have some 18mg juice I bought)

2.) coughing - I have been coughing when taking deep hits, even though they seem light

I was wondering if I should drip on to the atty to relieve these problems, or if I just need to puff them away.

18mg is not high 'high' - flavors can effect throat hit too. Drag, then open mouth take in some air, then inhale. Coughing right at first is rather common. You'll get it. You probably got it already :)

Its a 510 manual. I was coughing a lot, have not taken a hit in a about 15 minutes so it subsided. The carts I think are marlboro, the juice I got is 18mg Turkish Blend.

Another question is, should I hold off on drinking for the first few days to prevent wanting a analog?

Oh another question, should I change the filling on the prefilled carts before filling it with my liquid?

No need to. You'll get a mix of course. As for the hold off on drinking question... I found that if I went for the ecig first - when I had that urge - I'd take three hits and if I wanted an analog after, I'd do it. But once the nicotine hit the bloodstream I was good. But... your choice, of course.

Thanks, I have so many questions, its not even funny, lol. I have read, and read, and read and watched videos waiting for this moment to come, but I still fell I am not doing something right.

I've been vaping for two weeks now - within the first week I found that I really disliked the analog cigarettes and preferred vaping. So I've basically given up smoking, without intending to <g>.

So I definitely feel I'm doing something right, and I expect you'll feel much the same within a few days, yourself!

Here's to doing something RIGHT!;)

Hey, jexmex,

I wouldn't worry about coughing right at first... When I started, I coughed so bad, I had pretty much a continuous asthma attack for two days. Well, I got better liquid, went down on nic a bit, and it went away. Now analogs irritate my airways more than vapor. Don't ask me why... It's only been a week or so.

For the record, now that I think about it, my first experience with an analog was just as bad. I was just a lot younger and stupider then, and didn't mind it so much. Imagine that.

Remember also that what they seem to be sending out in prefilled carts is usually absolutely vile. Better liquid=better experience.

Breathe carefully, don't inhale too deeply at first, that should help.

Cheers,
Briar.
