First impression on the 510

Terrible primer taste!! WTF?
Can no one figure out how to get around this??
Vapor production= Mushroon Cloud

Throat hit= Don't want a primer throat hit

Battery- semi-irrelevant at this point

flavor= metallic
manual switch= just a switch(will get used 2)

Seems promising, but, not that much more than my901...

I watched the comprehensive intro for newbies last night and Spikey suggested doing a direct drip onto the atomizer. You should check the vid out.

I always blow out new atomizers before using, to get rid of the primer. (put the cartridge end into a paper towel, blow into the battery end.)

I do the same and at most only the first couple of inhales are primer taste then it's all vaping goodness.

but I did have some very bad tasting metalic juice

I had no metallic taste on my 501. The carts it came with were MLB flavor, which I didn't care for, but once I burned that out of the way, it was smooth sailing.

I got the 510 from Ruyan Direct!!

I have tried all the above, but it seems all their attys leave the primer taste for at least 24 hrs.

I didn't have a primer taste on any of my attys for the first month and a half and always wondered what people were talking about...

...then I got my first primer ready atty.

BLECH!!!!

DUDE!! It was SOOOO bad. Sorry just wanted to share my experience.

Personally, I take a brand new atty when I get a couple of them, and drop thiem in a cup with some 151 to soak for about an hour. Then I blow them out with compressed air, drop a few drops of my liquid on them to re-prime, and away I go. I have had the primer experience, and it takes a good day of nasty vaping to get rid of it if you don't flush it first.

i have my manual batts and attis from ruyandirect too. blowed out with towel in the back ( of the atomizer ) and after one cart no more sense of the not too bad primer, i had much badder on my very 1st 801, something like cerosin.

btw, i have to ask ludo from janty what liquid they use now as a primer, i could use a bottle of that stuff.

I had a 510 Atty that worked great for about 3 weeks and THEN it started giving off a horrible taste. I put it aside at the time and switched to another.One day i looked in it and thought I saw a piece of "wick" or somthing in there that was semi burnt.I extracted it with some small tweezers and shes been fine since.I dont think it was a piece from a cart filling,but im not sure.

On topic,i havent had a 510 atty give me a horrible out of the box taste yet.But I only have 5 of them. All were from Janty or Widow.

You don't rinse with water after the 151? That seems like a bad idea to me.

blowing and rinsing and let some juice soakin help with the taste, but the best method I've found so far is to show it to a smoker and let them puff on it for an hour(they can't taste squat)...............then its ready to roll

Are we sure thats primer fluid and not oil residue from the manufacturing process? I used to haul parts and they were usually coated in oil from the machining process, like a WD40 type of oil. I've noticed a lot of stuff from china I have to wash it in the sink to get the oil off, I bought some feeler gauges the other day that were practically dripping with oil. I'm going to start washing out all my new attys from now on just thinking about that,

Ive had one fail after almost 3 months,but ive managed to "resurect" it.I still think that ones a lost cause as its finicky. 3 other 510 Attys (including the ex burnt tasting one) are fine.

How do the attys hold up?

Do u guys change atomisers with each different flavour or use one atomiser for all flavours??
