Ordered from a company in Florida, I live in NY. Order was mailed on 2/13. Tracking shows it has left Florida on that date from Gotha. It is currently listed as in transit. According to the tracking it should have been delivered yesterday. No tracking updates since the 13th. I know it's too soon to tell, but is it likely this is lost? Thoughts?

I would just sit tight. I also had a few packages delayed last week and this week. The snow and weather on the east coast is a mess and the postal service is behind. This is the first time I can ever remember a priority mail package not arriving on time.

A package just this week got routed back to the original destination and then back out again for me. Very odd but it did get here.

Yup. Waiting on a clouper mini I ordered, last 3 days seems to be just bouncing around in NJ.

My purchases were from NJ, NY and the same thing was happening...

Last week it took a full 7 days for a 3 day priority mail package to go from NC to VT. It was juice and I was like a kid at xmas impatiently waiting :D

Just keep waiting. One day late is nothing to worry about, almost every package I've ordered has came a day later than the expected delivery date. USPS sucks for tracking updates anyways, so I'd wait a couple more days. Weather could play a factor up there too, not sure, I live in Alabama and it's been cold for the south, but not bad weather.

Anybody else notice the high number of posts about delayed or missing mail delivery?

Hmmmmm.......suppose it has anything to do with the fact that never before in the history of man have so many within a specific interest group utilized this delivery method for acquiring items related to that interest?

I recall a line from Woodstock: "The New York State Thruway's closed, man!"

Well, congrats all! We've flooded the United States Postal Service into chaos! :toast: :vapor:   :thumb:

I'm not sure who's at fault with mine. I was shipping something to a repair center and mine says shipping label created, so I'm not sure if it's with our corporate mail room or stuck/lost with USPS. Keep in mind the status hasn't changed since Feb 9th, and it was only traveling to a city in the same county 6 miles away. Sadly, I'm sure someone stole it from our mail room since the label reads praxis Vapors Repair Center and the status has not changed.

Wouldn't worry too much atm. I live in the same place as well as ordering alot of items from Florida as well. USPS is incompetent, I have watched items ordered from Fl go from NJ to upstate NY (passing right by where I am only to end up farther away) Watched items ordered from Cali end up in NJ then sit there for 3 days being sorted. USPS's ineptitude is staggering and they feel like it's some sort of accomplishment when something is delivered on-time. I don't use them whenever there is an option for any other carrier.

Just my first thoughts and two cents. It was a postal holiday Monday and there has been some pretty bad weather from Tennessee on upward. I'd wait at least another day then maybe contact my local post office. I contacted the 1 800 number once and got zero results besides a case number.

I am in Logistics/Transportation management and I get this type of question from my customers constantly. The one thing I do is ask them to go to a service like Weather.com or even your favorite news company website and pull up a weather map and see what is going on in the country. If there is snow/ice/flood/hurricane/riot etc between you and where it shipped, it will be slowed down until the issue is resolved. The Postal Service is generally good with a 98% on time service and we expect it to go smoothly, the only time we notice that it is off is when you are stuck in the 2% late service standard.

If you are in a surrounding area near a bad weather area, it can be congested too as the service is trying to re-route the shipments to other breakbulks to deliver around the weather or national issue causing delays.
