Well welcome to the forum! Looks like you have the gear to get you started in the right direction. Search around a little more on this forum, read the stickies, then re-read them! All of this information has been covered again and again and again and again etc... There is Tons of info on here and you don't even have to ask where it is!!

Looks pretty good the only thing (and it's a small picture and my eyes aren't awesome) is it appears to be very close to the walls of the atty. I maybe wrong just make sure the coil isn't touching the deck or the cap at all it will cause it to short out. Other than that seeing it on an ohm meter makes me happy beyond belief and if you've gone that far I'm going to assume you have researched and have good batteries. A good example of how getting into RDA's is supposed to be done. :toast:

Be sure to let us know how it vapes after you get her up and running.

Yes I have been researching alot but still I would like to know alot more then I do now the last thing I want is my batteries exploding and being the reason people can't vape anymore. On top of that I just bought a sigelei 150w box mod that I don't want to break lol. But yes everyone who wants to get into any kind of rebuildables should have a ohm meter before hand. What is a good wick to use and a good rda. Right now i have a little boy clone.

Heya! build looks nice, but like juggler said, you'll need to tweeze it. what I mean is make sure you have no wick, then dry fire the coil in short pulses til it gets CLOSE to red hot, then squeeze them together with tweezers, or pliers of some sort (make sure they're not plastic tweezers, BTW). this ensures that your coil will heat evenly and also burns certain chemicals off that may be leftover on your wire from the manufacturing process. Then pulse it again (and tweeze when necessary) until it heats evenly from the inside out. This IMO ensures the best quality vape, and quickest click to hit speed. Hope this helped!
EDIT: Try moving your coil closer to the center as this will help when wicking, and also moves it away from the top cap/ shaft section so it won't heat your RDA as quickly

I too just built my first RDA coils as of yesterday. I did a single 1.6 ohm in a Mutation X v2 and a 1.8 ohm single coil in a Tugboat. On my Mutation X V3 I did a dual coil, with an ending ohm of 0.85, so just barely a sub-ohm build, had 8/9 wraps of 28g kanthal on each.

I've been reading on mechanical mods, vv/vw mods, box mods, batteries, coils and such for about 2 months off and on and near daily for 2 weeks now before I finally ordered everything last week and began so I know where you're coming from.

Here's my first dual build I did this afternoon.. I tried to tweeze it and that's the best it was coming out. Vapes pretty good and heats fairly evenly.

Looks good man. May I suggest that you move the center-most lead on either side to the further hole on the t-post? That method helps my builds get closer to the center of the juicewell and may help your cap from getting as hot. Just a thought

I do the same on mine, use the furthest hole on the t-post to center the coil better.

-Make sure you have an Ohm meter for a 510 connection, don't use a DMM for coil builds even if its from Klein or fluke, i've got some weird reading at .08 ohms
-make sure your wicking is full saturated before fireing
-read up on DC theory or look up ohm's law to help you, building in parallel will give you less resistance.
-dont build on a dna 40 or chips that read constantly build to the side
-look for shorts you can see them before you fire usually one of your leads from a double coil touching the other coil
-pinching coils together does short them out, but their so not much of a difference spacing them out, i build with them pinched but with a lot of wraps.
-beware using nickel on an unregulated mod, it has very low resistance and isn't mean't to be put on high watt mods (i've seen a guy doing it, his battery vented, just wooooow at that point)
-insulators can melt...i seem to keep doing that.

I actually have it setup that way, but I put the long lead on the center post without thinking and realized after I cut the leads - so it couldn't be pulled much more center than I did it this time. Next time, longer lead goes on outside posts so it can reach the center better. How it is, it actually doesn't get too hot, but then again I'm at .85 ohm so I imagine if I dropped that much at all it would get much warmer.
