RDA First RDA: Plume Veil clone

Went down to my b&m this afternoon with some cash burning a hole in my wallet and intentions on an rda. They recommended a Plume Veil and the guy set me up with some kanthal, cotton and built my first coil for me. I was legitimately not prepared for the awesomeness. I left all bouncy and thrilled. Seriously. I can't imagine how badash this thing will be when I get my Maraxus next month. [emoji7]

He built a single 1.8 coil since I'm running it on an MVP atm. I'm still pretty thrilled with it. So much so I walked out of the shop forgetting to get my favorite juice.

Now that's the right way of doing business --- keep your customers happy!

Can u share what the single coil look like in the Veil?

Congrats on your first RDA! They redefined what vaping should be for me. That coil in the photo looks dangerously close to the positive block. If it gets any closer, it may touch the block and cause a short. That won't matter now, however, it will matter when you get your Maraxus. Please be careful and since you are just getting into rebuilding, here is a link to Baditudes (our resident battery expert) blogs. I suggest you read them all (specifically about ohms law and battery safety) and learn everything you can. Once again, congrats! Be safe and Vape happy!

Oooo that's a nice looking build :)

I thought it was a tad too close when he put it on there, but I wasn't going to question him right then lol. I've since gotten my tweezers in there and put a tiny bit more space between them.
Thanks for the link! I actually had it bookmarked on my comp and have read it a few times, but a refresher surely won't hurt. I can't just jump into something blind. Lots of re reading is planned this month so I know what's going on with my stuff. Safety first.

Good for you! It's good to see someone willing to learn! Keep it up and enjoy your new RDA. Make sure you pick up an ohm reader or multi-meter to test your builds. Other than that, just wait until you receive your mech... You're going to love it!

Wow plume veil on a Mvp, now I have seen everything! :D

Congrats though, it is a great atty.

I too think the build is a little close to the block. Performance will likely improve if you get it a little closer to the airhole.
I know right! They tried to talk me into a KFL until I told them I was upgrading next month. I'm really loving it so far. Don't think I'll be using my Nautty for a long while now :p

I got a tobeco plume veil clone on friday - first rda and its been good. Just doing single builds as still learning.
Me too! I've been so pleased with the single coils I've built that I haven't even worried about trying a double. Still get way better flavor and vapor than my nautilus.
