ok i want to try to diy e juice. im not really into the crazy TH. i like flavor an vaper more. an i just want to try a small 10ml batch before i go all out an get 100ml bottles of this an that to make sure ill be into diy e juice. i just want to go with one flavor for now. but i was thinking a vg i can get a wally world. now the hole nic thing drives me crazy. i like to vape nic lvl to be from any ware from 6mg to 12mg. but im lost on what mg lvl bottle to get. an if i should get any with pg or just pure nic. im just trying to keep simple. an dont really want a 100 different liquids that i have to mix. pretty much looking fo 3 ingredients if that possible. an if i get really into it more maybe ill go with adding more flavors together an mixing. but do i have to get a bottle of pg at all is what im asking. like i said before just looking for some thing simple to make for my self for when i dont have the money for my ever day vape.

I'm going to assume you've already read the stickys that are at the head of this sub-forum and your mention of pure nic was a slip or you did not mean it.

Do you need PG, no. PG is usually easier to work with and is inexpensive. Can you go will all VG, yes. Finding VG based flavorings is a bit tougher though.

For simple, one flavor mixing I usually recommend Capellas. Those flavorings usually skip step 7 of my flavoring level chart which makes them easier to work with. Capellas is a PG based flavoring, but unless you have a PG intolerance that should not be a problem.

You can get your nic diluted in VG and use VG as a mixing base. I'd have to thin a full VG mix in any of the equipment that I use, but I suspect you have your hardware optimized for VG. With nicotine in VG, non-nic VG, and a Capella flavoring you like, you will have a 3 component juice.

Then you have diff. types of nic juice;

Pure
VG
PG
VG/PG

I personally use the 50/50 PG/VG nic juice then add pure VG to it to bring it to my fav nic lvl,then I add flavoring;I dont bother calculatiing by how much flavoring will bring down the nic lvl since i use very little,but you can calculate it easily.

So,this roughly brings my juice to 80/20 or 70/30 VG/PG making huge clouds and being mostly VG has some inherent sweetness to it with decent flavor.

ok im using the ejuice me up calculator. an if i use a 50/50 nic juice 24mg. an choose to do a lets say 8mg. an i use a flavor with lets say 20% calculate. an it list what amount of drops i need for each. so if i dont want to go with the pg an just stick with the vg. even though its giving me an amount to use pg. do i just add what i would use from the pg to the vg amount? so lost lol. sorry im not the sharpest bulb that fell out of the tree. :)

i like it not feeling like im smoking butts. :) was thinking of going with a 50/50 24mg nic juice. an going to walmart to get the vg. an hitting up the local smoke shop to see if they sell tasty puff. or just see if any local supermarkets or bakerys have any flavorings to use. would that be anuff to make a diy type e juice. oh an i like my vape nic to be around 6mg to 12mg. was thinking of my wallet in all this.

Yeah,to bring a nic juice in 24mg/ml to 12mg/ml you just need to cut it in half,so say 10ml of your nic juice+10ml of VG would give you 20ml of 12mg/ml;

Say you still want 20% flavoring (very high) that would be 20% of 10ml vg

So 8ml of pure VG+2ml of flavoring effectively giving you 10ml of flavored VG

Then add that to your 10ml of 24 mg/ml nic juice

Gives you 20ml of flavored 12mg juice!

If you want to try 10% flavoring it will be 1ml of flavor in 9ml of VG added to your 10ml of nic juice

If you want to add sweetener,you do the same type of calculation in your base flavored+VG solution

Doing that ensures constant mg/ml nic concentration

2ml of 18mg/ml juice+3ml of VG

1.5 diluted--->roughly 7-8mg/ml

Adding a drop or 2 of flavoring would round down to 7...roughly :)

See how I do my math...for me its not that important to know to the decimal what I am vaping since I dont sell it;
As long as its in the ballpark of what I want,its fine because frankly,I`d be hard pressed to make the diff. between 6 and 10 mg/ml...its that low.

I have no idea where I'm at
In your OP you said you wanted 100%VG. There are some (very few) VG flavors, so getting there is pretty hard. I get pretty close, but I always have to add a small % of DW to thin it out enough for my equipment. Use Scubadans calculator, it will help you considerably.

Hoosier -- you must be up to about 300+ flavors by now.:laugh: Have you tried any of the new "super" strength stuff yet? There is supposed to be a bunch of flavors. There used to only be a few before. Now that I am getting low on flavors, I am going to start looking at it, that should increase my VG% a bit more (by using less flavoring).
