I used my Makita cordless, with a retaining pin, and vice grip pliers to hold the other end. I used 28ga Kanthal A1 .. and from what I calculated, the pitch is 1.27mm.
A US Penny is 19.05mm in diameter, and I counted 15 ridges, which comes to 1.27mm twisted pitch.
I have yet to make a coil with this strand, as I am posting this. I'll post coil builds soon =)
These macro pics make the penny look so dirty & gross, and the Ka1 dull looking.
