Too funny. I started with ego clones, moved to Twists, and then bought a ProVari.
Later, I bought a Vamo in a co-op just to see what VW was all about - and I like it. (So I got into co-ops for a Sig Zmax & a CVI). :D
Picked up an MVP (co-op) as a work PV - and I like it.
Got an EA (co-op) as my 1st mechanical instead of a cheapo Chi-clone - and I like it.
I still use my Twists w/ ~1.7Ω Chids - and I still like 'em. :)

There are times it becomes a pissing contest - kinda like some people swear by their high dollar RBAs, but not everyone can find &/or afford them.
Me, I'm happy with my multiple AGAs (in different versions), Chobras & Chids.

Noticed in that thread the line "My eVic won't be out of warranty if anything happens" and was going to comment yeah.... if that anything happens in the first 14 to 30 days..... But figured it would just fuel flames. I actually kinda dig the Evic and agree a Twist with a Mini Nova is a great little set. Take one with me when I go to work as like a backup. But so far the Provari has been the best "Set it and Forget it" mod I have picked up. With, oddly enough, the Vamo a nice second.

I propose CountSmackula be appointed our Official Pizz Contest Master. Whenever a poor ProVari soul feels hated, threatened, injured, marginalized or discriminated against for his/her APV choice or attempts to be helpful, our Pizz Contest Master shall be called upon to whip out his superior arsenal and blow the mean person back into the dark recesses where they belong.

Me? Naw... I'm just a co-op junkie. :D Admittedly, I won't just buy anything. I want the best value for the dollar. If I could only keep one, you know I'd keep my 'Vari. :D The others serve in different situations.

If something happened to my Vamo (or any of the others - EA excluded), I'd be irked, but not as much as if it were my ProVari.

I think some of you are losing sight of the real issue. I did not choose to personally attack the person in that thread, I defended myself and tried to be as objective as possible. What irked me was the individual choosing to attack me, for whatever reason, (though I believe it was my recent join date) even though two other people had also quoted his post and were much less restrained in their opinion of that individual's recommendations. It wasn't so much the ProVari hate that got to me, it was the attempt to bully me because I had a low post count.

I feel a rare appreciation for the way that that thread wrapped up, and I appreciated the support I received, but a new guy really shouldn't have to be exposed to this in his first couple of days on the forum.

Edit: the new guy being the OP, not me. ;)

I get ya. People assume all sorts of things based upon post count/equipment/writing style. I've seen it on many forums... many of which I no longer visit. You know what they say about assume... smh.

I think you handled the situation better than most people would have. It's too easy to get ...... off & "retaliate" in kind.

I wouldn't let it go to you, this must be one of the nicer forums i have ever been on where users actually respect each other.
